Fratelli Italian Restaurant

This is a great family-owned restaurant. The best food always comes from non-franchise restaurants. And this place is the proof. The food served here is delicious. Excellent selection of main dishes, salads, and desserts. Nice interior and great friendly service.

Fratelli’s is my number one choice of Italian food and driving an hour to get it is worth it every time. The atmosphere alone is what sets this restaurant apart from many others. The smooth jazz playing softly in the background, the fresh roses all throughout the restaurant, and the beautiful paintings everywhere to see. It is truly such an authentic experience. Perfect for date nights! My favorite dish is the beef ravioli which I get spicy and they know how to make it just right. Manuel, the owner, is a sweet, charming and sincere man that takes honor in providing the most delicious Italian food there is in the DMV.

Whether you go for lunch or dinner during the week or the Sunday buffet, the food is always great and reasonably priced. The Easter Sunday buffet will be $35 for all you can eat, including non-alcoholic drink and dessert. With alcoholic drinks, $45. Definitely the best deal in town. Reservations are required.

Ordered delivery from her last night. I will start by saying the food quality is phenomenal. We ordered the crab stuffed trout, seafood fettuccine Alfredo, calamari, and fried mozerella to share. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. The food had a lot of flavor and the portions were in line with the price per dish. Well worth the money spent. I look forward to dining here in the future.

The food was amazing! They have a large variety of pastas to choose from and the pricing isn't too bad for what they serve. Each entrée plate started around $20.

My party got the chicken alfredo, lasagna, side salad with the house Italian dressing- which was really delicious! I got the capellini pescatore which was amazing. The dish wasn't heavy and had enough food to fill you up for dinner.

We also got the chocolate cannoli and tiramisu which were really good. We all would love to eat here again.

Our first time. It had a buzz, but not too loud. Food was very good and very large portions. Like most people before us, we left with take-away. Unless you have a huge appetite or want takeaway, I would order one or two apps and share the entree. We all had seafood dishes with pasta. Some how we saved room for dessert. Service was good and friendly. Everyone said thank you as we left. We shall return.

I made reservations here for my wife birthday dinner and the historic decor was beautiful and also the food was very much worth every penny and more, the service was great as well.
I wanted my wife to have her favorite food “Italian” in a nice classy restaurant and she had no leftovers (literally ate every crumb and some of my food too) lol and she was smiling the entire time.
We will definitely be back soon!!!

It was Very TASTY. The cream which the Chicken was bathing in was amazing.

The Restaurant was enforcing physical distancing.

Depending on which way your voting from you have to watch out because the location is a tad hard to see.

A bit on the higher side of prices but the worth it.

Will definitely return. You can't go wrong with this Restaurant.

If you want to feel like you have stepped into a scene from the movie "Godfather" this is the place. The menu is quintessentially what you would image the "Don" or his men enjoying. I'd definitely choose the veal marsala, the clam casino, and the desserts.

Excellent food and portion sizes. Just right for a nice dinner after an appetizer of mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil. Attentive wait staff in a quiet setting. We'll definitely be back!

We had my moms 82nd surprise birthday party at Fratelli’s in Alexandria on Sunday, September 26. We were able to bring in our decorations. Everything was beautiful and mom was surprised. I love the ambiience and aromas that come from this place!

We had appetizers, calamari and fried mozzarella. The bread and salad were amazing. That could have been my meal! The main course was Linguini Cacciatore, Shrimp Alfredo, Pollo Alla Francese and grilled chicken. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. Manuel chef/owner uses the best quality ingredients to produce dishes that are authentic.

The service was of the highest quality. Manuel was accommodating in every way. Warm and very thoughtful. He came around to check on our experience and seemed to be authentically engaged. The waiters were very friendly, available, attentive and quick to take care of our needs.

I'm looking forward to the next party!

Just passing through and find this on Google maps. Quaint small Italian place, cozy and comfortable. Extensive menu with all things Italian. I had chicken saltimbocca that was great. It came with a side salad and choice of veggies or spaghetti. Others had fettacini Alfredo and a angel hair pasta with assorted seafood. All excellent. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Just go!

I have ordered delivery from Fratelli at least 20 times, but I have never stepped foot in the restaurant based on its curb appeal. And I don’t plan to. However, my boyfriend and I both love their food - it’s high quality, consistent, and a great value. The calamari, chicken piccata, rigatoni con salsiccia, and chocolate cake are all fantastic. It will continue to be our #1 food delivery choice!

What a fabulous Sunday Brunch Buffet. So much to choose from and everything was fresh. The owner Manuel and his wife Marta treated us as thought we were guest in their home. If you're looking for a great place to eat with friendly staff then this is a must. I promise you won't be disappointed.

It's all about the fried mozzarella! It's in a white wine cream lemon sauce. It is OUTSTANDING. Their house red sauce is very tasty on their noodles and their house salad dressing is very zesty and delicious. The manager is very friendly and made sure we were taken care of at all times. Great restaurant for a date night or celebrate something special. A little more on the expensive side but definitely tasty!

When I die, bury me in a vat of Fratelli's lemon butter scampi sauce! I love Fratelli's on Van Dorn. Great food, efficient but not rushed service, run by a nice family, nice waitstaff, ample parking, great prices and great takeout service!

This was my first time trying carryout. During COVID19, I'd ordered delivery through a 3rd party app before, but since learning how much of a cut these apps take from the restaurant, I decided to order for pickup.

We got the Mozzarella Fritta, Minestrone and Tortellini en Brodo soups, Shrimp Scampi, Capellini d'Angello, and two sides of spaghetti with scampi sauce 'cuz scampi sauce! The entrees came with salad (Their garlickly house dressing is fantastic! Good for marinating meat, too [you can buy some to take home]) and bread. So much food and all of it good!

Carryout or eat-in, we'll be back and often. So grateful to have such a good, authentic Italian restaurant on the West End!

Such a great restaurant! My husband and I have been going here since our daughter was 4 months old, she's now 15 yrs old. Both the chef and his wife who own the restaurant has ALWAYS given us great customer service plus they make sure that the food is to our liking. We live in southern Virginia and whenever we're in the northern Virginia/DC area, we always eat at this restaurant. I always order an eggplant dish with penne pasta..it's served only during lunch but I always order it during dinner ... they always accommodate me and make it! That's what I love about them! When we came there this time, I ordered eggplant parmigiano with spaghetti...still outstanding after alllllll these years...the sauce is amazing and the chef doesn't put too much cheese like some other Italian restaurants I've been to. This is my favorite Italian restaurant, so far no other italian restaurants have beaten it! Ohhhh, I almost forgot to mention that they don't have pizza on the menu but I could care less cuz you can get pizza from any other restaurant. We don't come here to eat pizza! We come here for the outstanding customer service and food!

This was my first time visiting this restaurant; I'd only ever been to the sister location in Cheverly, which closed recently. I was happily surprised to find there was another location, and the food here is just as delicious as the food served at the Cheverly location! I ordered my favorite, mozzarella fritta as my appetizer and chicken fettuccine Alfredo as my entree. Absolutely delightful! I've said it before and I'll say it again: Fratelli has the best Alfredo sauce I've ever tasted, and with fettuccine alfredo being my favorite dish, I've had many alfredo dishes from other restaurants, so they measure very high for me! I live a little further from this Alexandria location than the one in Cheverly, but it's well worth the additional 20-30 minute commute! I also enjoyed our server, though I didn't catch his name.

Don't spend your money at big franchise restaurant. Fratelli got amazing chef and staffs. My wife had sea food pasta with cram sauce. It was perfectly cooked and scallops and shrimps were so fresh! Love this place!

The best Chicken Parm I've had through all my food-related work and escapades. Just as great as the NE DC location.
