I knew as I drove up I'd love this park! Look at those beutiful trees! ( no facilities though)
This place turned out to be more. As I was walking I thought hmmm, 4 wheel tracks, and the path was twisty and looked fun!
Then I came across a motor bike and whatever those other things were ( see pics). It was all good though, because I could here them coming.
I went both directions ( from parking area) bit didn't go to "the end ", a storm is rolling in and didn't want to get stuck.

I tell you though, if I still had my quad....I'd be all over this park...it is stunning! Ran along a water way that is georgious!

Amazing walk, there are two ways to head one takes through a every tropical and plant filled trail, and the other takes you over under I-75 into a long range of trails.

Special little park, doesn't feel like you're in Florida anymore when you walk down the tree-lined path along the creek. Very quiet and peaceful place.

Absolutely beautiful trails to walk, family friendly. But wouldn't recommend to parents with very young children as there are some drops off the trails.

Looks like something out of a movie. Great swing set right as you pull in and quite a fun pet friendly trail. We took the right path and ended up near the bottom of a highway underpass.

Very nice park, but hurricane Ian wrecked the trees. Hopefully the growth and shade comes back soon.

Absolutely beautiful winter and summer! definitely worth checking out after heavy rain to see how high the water rises it's amazing, beautiful trees and trails you can walk. The only thing that's bothered me recently when I went is that there's a tree that you can sit on and there was the bottom end of a sharp beer bottle just waiting for someone sit on! So watch out for that

Oaks Park is a lovely, serene park located on Mandrake Terrace and is part of the Mayakkahatchee Creek Greenway. This park is perfect for those who are looking for a quiet, peaceful escape from the city. The park's 17 acres of heavily wooded land make it a great place to explore nature and enjoy the outdoors.

The park is mostly undeveloped, which adds to its natural beauty. Walking through the wooded areas can be a great way to get some exercise and connect with nature. The park is also ideal for birdwatching and spotting local wildlife.

One of the highlights of this park is its location along the Mayakkahatchee Creek Greenway. The greenway is a great place to hike, bike, or just take a leisurely walk along the creek. The scenery is beautiful and provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy the natural surroundings.

Overall, Oaks Park is a hidden gem in North Port that's perfect for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a quiet and mostly undeveloped park that provides a great space to enjoy nature and the outdoors. If you're in North Port and looking for a peaceful place to relax and unwind, be sure to check out Oaks Park.

Very nice park, lots of shade and plenty of trees. Very nice sandy trail with a creek. A couple different spots that lead right down to the creek to dip your feet in. Highly recommend. Dogs allowed on leash

Soft sandy paths through the lush tropical forrest. Just watch out for ATVs, they sometimes go through there. I've taken my dog on walks there several times and it is beautiful. As of right now there is still some debris on the path but if hiking is your thing you'll be fine.
