I wish I could give them more stars for Atmosphere! We try to go here every time we go to Orlando. I am attaching photos from some of our various trips. When you order different drinks they trigger different actions. Like the Krakatoa will get the volcano on the wall to erupt. The staff is always friendly and entertaining. Note that you do have to line up at least an hour ahead to get your name on the wait list for when it opens. Worth the wait! Fun and great food/drinks! I hope they bring the tuna app back! If you're lucky you may get the black pearl as well!

This place is by the far the BEST at creating atmosphere! This little restaurant and bar is a great getaway for all you adults visiting Disneyworld!

My fiancé and I were just curious about visiting this place during our adventure, but didn’t know we needed reservations (the wait can be well past an hour). We were lucky it was only 20 minutes, so next time we will remember to reserve seats ahead of time!

When you walk in, there is Polynesian-inspired decor and furnishings everywhere. We got some drinks, since we had just had dinner elsewhere. My fiancé got the Zombie, and I got their mock-tail. Both drinks were fruity with a hint of spice to them, and were very nice! We purchased the cups they came in as souvenirs!

What makes this place really stand out, however, is the atmosphere. Each time someone orders a specialty drink, different lights will flash, decorations will come alive, and the Cast Members will shout different things. I will not spoil exactly what happens (that’s part of the fun as you discover what happens with each drink!) but it sure was hilarious and magical at the same time!

Some of the drinks themselves come in collectible glasses and mugs, and one has a chance to be a rare variation! You can ask your incredible Cast Members (they are amazing for always putting in 100%!) about the specialty drinks and what you can purchase to take home.

If you’re looking for a fun, adults-only reprieve, this enchanted restaurant and bar is for you. I highly recommend it!

Drinks were delicious and the servers / pretty much every employee there was nice and super fun. We walked in had a 39 min wait but it was worth it. Ambiance and entertainment along with the drinks….. a def stop if you like good drinks and some fun!

Incredible bar! My favorite on property! Order the special drinks for the added experience! Get there by 2 to get on the list if you don’t want a long wait. 21+ past 8pm

Must try spot when visiting Disney or Orlando! The ultimate Disney bar experience. You have to get there early because they don't take reservations, it's a small bar, & it's first come first seated. They will take your phone number & text you when your table is ready. Each drink you order has a special effect on the entire restaurant. For example, if you order the pearl drink, special lighting, music, & a little show by the bar tender will happen. Without spoiling the fun, there are some drinks that have epic interactions such as putting out fire yourself using cinnamon. The food is only ok, the drinks are more fun than mind blowing, but it's all worth the heavy price tag.

This place is absolutely amazing, take the plunge and dive into Trader Sam's. Make sure you get Skipper Addie she is out of this world. 2000% would recommend worth every second you might have to wait to get in.

The best experience of our vacation (and we did the Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party). Great drinks and great atmosphere. There are specialty drinks that come with their own special effects. The staff are very interactive but an introvert can also be comfortable. Chris the bartender was fantastic and hilarious. Some drinks come with the option of a souvenir mug which are sturdy and very detailed. If you’re lucky when ordering the pearl you might get a black one! We had a blast and highly recommend. One thing to note, the wait time is long but worth it.

We had a fabulous time here. Get there early (before they open!) to put your name on the list. We were there just before 2 to put our names in and got in around 4:30.
The cast members were fantastic and so nice. The service was quick, but we never felt rushed.
We got the sushi roll and dumplings to go with our drinks. The sushi roll was okay, not the best I've ever had, but the dumplings were delicious.

Cool little bar in the Polynesian Hotel for specially drinks and any other libations to your liking. Fun atmosphere and souvenir glasses if you're interested in bringing a unique piece of Disney home with you for your cocktails or poolside.

This is a must for any Disney World guest. It can be tricky to get in to, as it's very small and very popular. We showed up 1 hour before and got our names on the guest list. We then enjoyed a Dole Whip and waited.

The staff is entertaining, accomodating, and knowledgeable. Drinks and food were awesome; I still think about the flatbread to this day.

Every drink comes with a show, and they're all fun to watch. The ambience is second to none, especially for a bar.

If you're looking for a great tiki experience, this bar is a must. The atmosphere sells it. The service, and their devotion to the atmosphere, sells it.

The drinks are on point, and very Polynesian (no pun intended). If you're looking to start a collection of tiki mugs, start the challenge here, and it will never end. 🙂

Get in line early, and be prepared to wait at the Polynesian just like you would any ride at Disney. It's a small space, but well worth the wait if you're into tiki cocktails and experiences.

It may have that Disney Magic, but it's still a fun tiki bar. I just wish it were easier to actually get a table.

TIPS FROM A LOCAL! While there is almost always a long wait to get through the door, try to walk up later in the evening, especially during the fireworks, for easier walk in service. With a little luck, and a small table of two, during the fireworks on a weeknight, you can likely grab a table easily. The drinks are FUN, I love the Spickey dole whip drink for adults. The dumplings are fast and yummy. The server cast members are outstanding. Trader Sam’s is a must visit for every WDW loving fan.

This is easily my favorite Tiki Bar of all time.

It’s a bit hidden in the Polynesian Resort, but if you ask around, folks will tell you were to find it. It’s walk up only and it can be a bit if wait so get there early and give your name and phone number and they’ll text you when there’s a spot. It’s a great system!

As soon as you open the door, you’re compelling transported into another world. It’s nice and dark, covered in antiques and memorabilia from around the world and Disney parks history. You can spend hours just looking at all of the props and tchotchkes, trying to find all the hidden details.

The staff is incredibly fun, with a variety of standard bits and fun when people order particular drinks. They also tend to go above and beyond with a ton of extra jokes and things they they throw at you throughout your time there.

The menu is full of fantastic drinks that are delicious and strong. They serve some of them in amazing tiki mugs that you can buy. If you do, they give you a clean one in a box so you don’t have to worry about cleaning them out.

They have a few small food options that are all delicious. The pot stickers and tacos are my favorites.

Overall you can’t go wrong here, and it’s an absolutely must do when you’re in the area, whether or not you go to the parks!

This tiki bar is at least an hour. So come to the poly, put your name in the virtual queue - and grab a dole whip and chill. Even though the wait is easily hours, it’s so worth it. Even though it does allow kids before 8pm. Most toddlers don’t enjoy it. My daughter was terrified. The drinks activate things on the wall. And tasty too! It’s so much fun! 10/10 recommend.

What can I say about Trader Sam's that already hasn't been said already? It is fantastic and I don't want anyone else to know about it!
My wife and I were lucky enough to get in one evening after dinner, and are we glad we did!
The atmosphere was that of a south seas tiki bar. The drinks are fruity like you would imagine a tiki bar would serve. The food was a bit overpriced for what it was, but delicious nonetheless.
The walls were decorated with bits and bobbles from the south Pacific and everytime someone ordered a drink with a real glass, the place came alive. You will have to see it to understand.
For our drinks, I got the Zombie and my wife got the Hippopoto-Mai-Tai. They were fruity and delicious. We got some lettuce wraps for a bit of food and they were tasty as well!
Overall, we will definitely be back. There are many more drinks we want to try and see what the bar has to offer as a result.

Great experience! We came about an hour before close and walked right in. Had a fantastic server that was willing to put up with a bit of indecision after a long drive into town. Everyone was down to earth, having a good time at work while serving some delicious drinks and fun experiences. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show that comes with some of these delicious drinks. Note: four drinks rang in at about $80 before tip.

This hidden location is a standout in atmosphere! I have wanted to go here for a few years since I first heard about it as they have the remnants from the old tiki room!

There is a long wait to get in, but the location is small and the atmosphere is well worth it. We finished up in Hollywood earlier than expected and made our way back to get our names on the list before the fantasmic show. It took us just a littler over an hour to get in. We were luck enough to get seats at the bar!

The drinks are flavorful and the bar tenders are amazing! I highly recommend the rum flight, zombie and obviously the Uh-Oa. They all had great flavors and they didn't skimp out on the alcohol as well. The special events that occur with the drinks are fun and affect the entire atmosphere of the bar! The bar tenders go along with the shenanigans and they truly love being there!

The other patrons there were all great sports and everyone got involved with the different drink atmosphere changes. Be prepared to get misted with water and go along with some chants so be ready to partake!

I was just at this fantastic bar this past Friday. Let me tell you it is a must have stop for good drinks, food and experience. Sally our bartender made our day. The jokes and silly antics are what this place has. Our host Maggie was 5 star!

My partner and I got there on a random Tuesday night. Had to wait about 90 mins, but it was WORTH THE WAIT! Don't sleep on the cocktails. That's where the party is at. Must try! We were seated at the bar and bartenders Alyssa and Dizz made it such a memorable experience for us. If you have the time on your vacation, make a trip there. If you have kiddos with you, they are allowed in from opening until 8p.m. They have a friendly mocktail selection for the little ones and they would really enjoy the atmosphere. 21+ starts after 8p.m until close. Also, try the dumplings! Food tends to come out in small portions so be mindful they are more snack sized than a full meal.
