Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort

Family of four, stayed for three weeks in December. Booked a two bedroom apartment with balcony. Located close to a quiet pool and across from the resort bus shuttle service. Apartment was very spacious and well equipped. Housekeeping do an excellent job and all staff we interacted with were very friendly and professional. Close to Disney and just off 192 means food and drinks are only a few mins drive. Highly recommend!! Would definitely return in the future.

It was our first time visiting here and it won't be our last. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite upstairs by the golf course. Everything was nice, and the full kitchen was completely stocked.

Christmas weather wasn't very pretty, but hopefully, on the next visit, we can enjoy all the amenities offered. Check-in was really the only waiting period besides finding it, lol.

There are so many restaurants nearby, and you're right off 192/27. The fees weren't bad at all $30 a night with free parking and a deposit of $115 for damages.

If you're looking for a nice resort, then you have found the perfect place.

Our recent one-night stay at Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort in Orlando was a genuinely delightful experience. We arrived late, after 10 pm, and were warmly welcomed by Rocky at the front desk. Rocky, a courteous and efficient professional, made our late check-in process smooth and stress-free. She kindly provided us with the keys to a lovely 2-bedroom villa and thoughtfully arranged a 12 pm late check-out, which was much appreciated.

The highlight of our stay was the peaceful night's sleep our baby girl enjoyed, which speaks volumes about the comfort and tranquility of the accommodations. The resort itself was splendid, offering a serene and well-maintained environment for our brief visit.

During our check-out, we were assisted by Sasha, who was also commendable for her excellent customer service. However, we did experience a bit of a wait due to a lengthy line at the check-out. This minor inconvenience was the only aspect that could be improved for an even smoother experience.

Overall, our stay at the Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort was marked by outstanding hospitality, especially from Rocky and Sasha. We highly recommend this resort for its excellent service and comfortable accommodations, and we eagerly anticipate our next visit.

For us it was a great place to stay. The 2 bed appartment was clean and tidy with all the appliances needed for a two week stay (got all our washing done before our flight home). Plenty of pools for swimming/relaxing in. Great if you want to incorporate golf with your holiday with 3 golf courses and a driving range. I believe there are other areas for other sports as well. The place in general was very well maintained with staff working on different areas continuously. In general all staff were very pleasant and helpful during our entire time there.

David @ front desk was incredible. Friendly service, smile, and even helped us get our nine people all in rooms near each other. Recommend looking for him when you come stay @ Orange Lake. Great golf & lodging, love this place! Been here 3 years in a row.

I love this resort! The bungalow we stayed in was perfect and it's close to lots of parks and pools! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. My family had a wonderful experience. It's a very family friendly environment! If I could give them 10 stars I would!

Great location close to lots of restaurants and shopping and near Disney Parks. Four villages with numerous pools, hot tubs, a very long lazy river, miniature golf, water slides, playground, water sports, arcade games, kids activities, shopping and restaurants. Immaculate landscaping throughout the resort with beautiful waterfalls. Well appointed spacious condos designed for comfort. Our favorite place to stay each year!

Large, comfortable villa with all the amenities, felt like a home away from home. The pool was busy, but we found a place to park ourselves with little effort and it was pleasant. We didn't try the restaurants, we enjoyed the full kitchen in the villa and ate in, so can't comment on those. As a relaxed, quiet family few days away not doing much, it was ideal!

So happy to have returned to Orange Lake after a long 13 year time away. This time as an owner! As I had been gifted a timeshare and finally been able to make use of it.
We stayed in the East Village and the villa was fantastic. Cool, comfy and even though it was on the ground floor, I could spot the fireworks over the trees from Magic Kingdom.
The small pool nearby was fantastic, heated too so when the temperature dipped (which it CAN do in Florida, it seems!) it was very nice to sink into.
While I would highly encourage those of you, planning to visit to have someone that can drive, the resort does have a shuttle service which was fantastic. Regular shuttles during the day, though in the morning and night the service DOES slow down which you'll want to take into account when staying out late or heading out early.
Every one of the drivers that took care of us in the two weeks we were there were very friendly, very helpful. There's a high chance we rode with all the drivers employed too! You don't need to be at a bus stop to flag one down and they can drop you off at the (East) Security gate so you can pop down the road (10 minute walk) for shops, food or a slightly cheaper Uber ride. And you can request a shuttle at the Security gate when walking back.
Some shuttle drivers will even go the extra mile and drop you off at your building (not including the express which will do that anyway).
We didn't make much use of the shops in the resort, though I was surprised to see a lack of plasters in Marketplace or River Island (I did need some at one point). The Marketplace shop did have some groceries as well as baked goods, I couldn't help but buy the pack of four large chocolate chip muffins when I saw them. We also rented a basketball there on our last day to kill some time before leaving which was ideal.
We only visited one of the restaurants in the resort, the River Island Grilling Company which was so good we went back multiple times.
We tried out the driving range which was great, even when the clouds opened up and we had several bouts of heavy rain, we were nice and safe under cover, able to continue hitting balls with varying degrees of success.

In the end, we didn't get to do all we wanted to, either going to theme parks or opting for lazy days. I will do my best to experience all Orange Lake has to offer next time I visit, especially the Lazy River which I am disappointed I didn't get around to due to an injury I got from visiting one of the theme parks.

I only have two thoughts to enhance a guest's experience:

An app to request or at least track shuttles. If drivers have this app, then guests could use theirs to see where the shuttles are and know how long the waits might be. The times we were unaware the shuttle was slower at night, we could have walked to save time. Or for when we would leave for what ever we had planned for the day and not wait long for the next shuttle. An app to see shuttle times/locations would have been VERY useful.

And if non driving guests could have a complimentary golf cart to go around the resort in. This would have been exceptionally handy, especially when we had just missed a shuttle as well as getting to/from the villa in general.

The one criticism I'd give would be, a lot of information was given to me on arrival. I had thought my sleep deprived state had been what caused me to miss details but it turned out to not be the case as my friend was there to reiterate details.
What had been described to me, was an information session for the owners at the resort, so I went along as I felt that I should as it was my first time visiting as an owner.
What it turned out to be, was a sales pitch, which I am fine with, I did expect there to be one, but I would have preferred not to be needlessly mislead. Additionally, it was not made clear that I had to meet various criteria to be eligible for the rewards for sitting through this "information session", such as being employed which, currently, I am not. So my morning could have been better spent had I just been told directly.

We loved staying here with our small family of 4! We originally booked a studio suite, but at check in we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite! They are so accommodating and the room was wonderful and spacious. Emily was very helpful and kind at check in. The kids loved all the pools, especially the waterslide!
I recommend trying to avoid the timeshare meeting, and just enjoy your stay if you have small kiddos:)

We are owners here at this resort. Live it here. Great location, golf was great. Found a Gator on the course 4th hole, first day out. Beware of the pickleball crowd... vicious crowd.. lol 😄 make sure you check in with the Pickleball commissioner... don't just walk on to an empty court...

Great stay! David at the front desk was so welcoming and really helped our group stay together for lodging. Made our trip so enjoyable! His shoes were great as well :) highly recommend the property!

Amazing resort with so much to do! Staff was so kind and friendly, the room was beautiful and the grounds were immaculate! So glad we stayed here!

Stayed here once prior when going to Disney. Not too far at all and the 2 bedroom condo was fantastic (clean, large, kitchen and laundry). They have 4 pools and at least 1 is open till 11pm with a bar and restaurant. Pools are heated and swimmable, even when in 60's.

Great resort which consists of 4 villages each with it's own pools and entertainment as well as well maintained golf courses . A free bus service goes round various villages all day until midnight. The wild life is amazing we saw deer and squirrels as well as a raccoon. Plenty of different types of birds, cranes, ibises, turkeys to name but a few. Our villa was comfortable and had everything you needed for your stay

We stayed here for 6 days back in Oct 2020. Had a really greate time. We got a 2 bedroom APT and it was perfect. The pools were very clean and the kids loved them. Very close to the parks and very reasonably priced.

Only issue we encountered was during check in. I was aware it was a timeshare and read reviews about the sales pitch. When checking in after a long day at the parks, I was exhausted and the man checking us in asked if I was interested, I advised him no. Of course he continued on to try and convince me (I get it, it's sales). And I once again advised I was good and was exhausted and just ready to get to our room. He then got very standoff-ish and asked "Why are you acting like this?"... me tired was like "Man, I'm just ready to get to my room please". He then said "Fine, whatever". I know these folks probably get commission on the sale, but I just don't understand being rude.

I wasn't interested and made it very easy for him to understand that. But, after that encounter we had absolutely 0 issues. So just be prepared to maybe get a little bit of attitude lol.

We had our worst nightmare happen when we arrived to the hotel and realized we booked with a third party who cancelled our reservation and never refunded us. Thankfully the manager Monica came to the rescue when it was no fault of the hotel and got us a beautiful room at a great rate. We are so forever thankful for saving our week long vacation. Thank you Monica! The whole staff was so kind as all of this was unfolding that we got scammed. Make sure you are booking directly with the hotel. The property and room are beautiful. So close to Disney, a grocery store and a ton of food options.

This place has everything you need and is close to everywhere you want to go. The kids love the lazy river and the arcades. My wife and I love the rooms and the location. Every time we are in the Orlando area this is where we stay. Been coming here for years.
