Shells Seafood - St Pete Beach

We visited for the Tuesday night snow crab special and truly enjoyed our experience. The crab leg platters were plentiful, tasty and a great value.

Great clam chowder - packed with more actual clams than you’ll get anywhere else.

The service was also great - friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our cocktails. The atmosphere is basic, but we enjoyed our evening!

Amazing amazing!! Seafood was super fresh and flavor was awesome, not too much that you can’t taste it’s original flavor. Price was very reasonable too, plus we got free margaritas with yelp check in, so happy! Will definitely come back if we revisit town.

My fiance's uncle hadn't been to a Shell's in 20 years since he lived in the area, and recommended it during our stay in Florida. We went twice. Both times I got the $20 1lb crab. Highly, highly recommend. Our waiters (and all of the staff, really) were very friendly and personable. During our second visit, we had small children with us and they kindly brought temporary tattoos of the fish logo. I had a lot of fun applying that.
The lobster bisque was mind melting. Just amazing. I did not try the baby lobster pasta but was told by our family it was to die for. Very reasonably priced for what you get. Would gladly return on our next visit!

Justin was amazing and had the 411 in the menu faves! Great atmosphere; excellent atmosphere and foodgasmic eats!!

Amazing chowder and seafood! Great staff too. A must if you're in the area.

Tried the shrimp and scallop pasta and the shrimp and scallop skewer with a crab cake on the side. Everything was soo good! The strawberry margarita was refreshing and had real strawberries in it. Food was fresh and arrived fast. There is some parking out front and a small parking lot behind the building.

Fun local seafood spot near the beach! Service was excellent the beers were cold and the food was delicious. Enjoy

Julianna was an excellent server, never had to ask for anything and she was very menu knowledgeable. I had the calamari and the MAHI. My daughter had the chicken pasta as well. Absolutely delicious. Topped it off with salted caramel cheesecake which was forgotten in a to go box but our server ran it in the pouring rain out to us. A new favorite of mine and we will be back. Thanks again

This cozy seafood restaurant has left the best impressions with those who recently ate dinner here! Hospitable hosts, delicious fresh seafood dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list and wonderful service . I now recommend to everyone! I plan to come back here again and again.

This place is heaven sent! The food is really good with great prices. I am actually blown away by how cheap the prices are with the quality food they serve here. I had the crab cake dinner, which came with 3 crab cakes it was phenomenal. Ceasar salad and jambalaya on point! It is a laid back atmosphere with a great happy hour. We loved it!

Great food, had the classic seafood pasta and loved it! The raw oysters were a decent size too, I would get those again. They have a fun “shark attack” (sprite with grenadine) drink for kids.

Went off a twenty year old recommendation and we weren't disappointed. Casual vibe, great menu and happy hour all day , every day! The lobster bisque was good, the award-winning clam chowder was delicious.
Our group of seven all had different dishes and everyone enjoyed their food. We went about five o'clock clock and they were filling up by the time we left.

I had a homade, Clam Chowder and Shrimp Scampi. Both were totally way above anything I could have expected. The chef came out and told us how it was prepared. The Clam Chowder had more Clams in it that I have ever had in a bowl. And spiced perfectly. The Shrimp Scampi had so much Shrimp I could only eat half and took half back and ate it later that night. The garlic was very strong as were the spices. There is just no way I can do it justice by describing the taste.

The shrimp pasta was AMAZING. Best food we have had in 5 days in town. Nice sized portion, open and bright environment and Tracy was an amazing server. We really enjoyed our meal. Hubby said Grouper was also amazing. 4 thumbs up from us!!!! 2nd visit Alex was also an amazing server and we had clam chowder, chicken pasta and calamari. again...AWESOME.

Came for lunch while on vacation, pleasantly surprised on taste/flavor. We started with coconut shrimp which was great, We then got the shrimp & scallop pasta which is cream and white wine based it was Delicious and creamy but not overwhelming. We also had The big Easy (mahi mahi) the sauce they used for this dish was also very good paired great with the rice and veggies. Would recommend.

There were 3 of us. Our server/ bartender was great. Everything we ordered was delicious. Ate outside in the covered bar area, weather was good too.

Shell's was on my list of "must try" spots while we were here from Michigan for a week. The photos, unique dishes, and "fresh" description from the multiple 5 star ratings, were why.

Well we were delighted with our dishes! Everything was very fresh and delicious. We ordered the Calamari, Seafood Pasta, and the Big Easy. I'd order the Big Easy again in a heartbeat and my Husband said the same thing about his Pasta. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

Excellent fresh grouper. Crab cake was tasty. I got one to go. Everything was well priced with nice portions. We went during happy hour and had house pino grigio $4 per glass. Very good! I'll definitely be back when I return to the area. I spent $50 for two glasses of wine, an entree and an appetizer including tip. Service was fast and friendly. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the offering.

We had a great experience. We had a bit of a wait for our large party, but the food was delicious. Our server did a great job taking care of our whole party!

The Classic Seafood Pasta was pretty good! It had a rich and smooth flavor of the sauce paired perfectly with the perfectly cooked noodles. The seafood was also incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this dish if you’re into seafood pastas.
