Open Waters Resort

Open Waters Resort at the Blue Heron Bridge in Singer Island, Florida was one of the BEST experiences I ever had. After arriving and taking the tour I was amazed at this hidden gem of a vacation spot.. The staff, especially the mangers Carmelo and Daryl were very friendly and hands on . The premises were more than inviting and safe. The property is a gated community. I felt very safe and relaxed while there. The 6 Golden statues spilling water in the pool was especially inviting and calming at thier private garden and swimming. pool area.The recently renovated bungalows were well appointed and the beds we’re premiere!!!! I wish I could sleep as well in my own bed… I enjoyed watching the boats and the scuba divers in the water. Hey, I even pick up some hints on snorkeling. I can see why this resort at the famous Blue Heron Bridge was voted the best place to see some of the unique animals under the sea. Some of the guests that were there were in training to get their Scuba certification. I can’t wait to go back in March. I may even try to get some scuba diving lessons.👍

I had such an awesome stay here! Loved the private beach so my pup could jump in the water and not have to drive all the way to Jupiter. Walking distance to a lot of stores/restaurants and the beach on the east side to catch the sunrise. Met some cool people here and having a kitchen in the room really beat a hotel. Clean rooms, updated appliances and very kind staff. Thanks you guys! Can't wait to come back. :)

Daryl went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable & felt welcome. The resort is a small, cute place to meet nice friendly people. It isn’t the Hilton, but it’s clean, quiet and comfortable- things I like when looking for a place to stay. The private beach is perfect to dive or snorkel from and is maybe 30’ from the east Blue Heron Bridge structure.
I plan on returning soon & often!

Pristine rooms. Lavish and comfortable amenities. A glamorous pool. Welcoming and attentive staff members. Unique and breathtaking views. All of these attributes and more are ubiquitous at this stunning resort. Quaint yet spectacular, this resort leaves nothing to be desired. This wondrous hotel experience provides a much higher quality of excellence than many other places I’ve stayed at, and does it for a fair price! I can’t recommend this place enough, and it’s a shame that I can only give this place 5 stars on this review!

Excellent hospitality, location was great.
Being divers it was nice to be able to walk outside our room and do a shore dive! This is located right next to blue heron Bridge which is the #1 shore dive in America!
This was a last minute decision to dive the blue heron Bridge on our way to the Keys and we were so happy to find a room to begin with that was within our budget, even better that it was on the water!
We will definitely be back

Such an amazing place. The hosts were very caring and went above and beyond during our stay. Their rooms have a full size refrigerator, they use fire sticks for TV so you have plenty of options, tile floors, private beach, beautiful garden area with water statues around the pool, kayaks and the best part....we didn't move our car the whole 4 day stay because we were right next door to the state park on the intercostal, right across the street from an awesome sandbar hang out and peanut island. Ohhh and not even 2 blocks from Riviera beach which by the way has playgrounds, workout equipment, tennis courts, shopping, and plenty of dining.

Recently stayed here with a group of 4 and we had the best experience. Pictures do not do justice for how beautiful the area is. The rooms were very comfortable and the manager was incredibly nice. Will be my go to spot for singer island from now on. I already miss being there.

UPDATE - The entire hotel has been rented out to treatment facility for an indefinite period of time.

They are upgrading rooms and installing a new seawall, patio deck on the water and boat dock. We've been helping to add some touches like rinse tank, gear drying rack and storage. So I was only going only four stars because they are still doing renovations and are not fully staffed yet. BUT ---Location, location, location. --- This is a SCUBA diving dream location. We have dove the bridge hundreds of times, but Phil Foster park gets really crowded and sometimes all 300 parking spots are full. Last night, or this morning we dove the Blue Heron Bridge from our beach next to the East bridge at 3:30 AM. We did a 90 minute dive and all we covered was the North and South side of the East bridge. There were half a dozen polkadot batfish, at least 10 barbfish, several Spotted Scorpio fish, a Plumed Scorpionfish, two juvenile scorpionfish, octopus, bobbit worm, lots of shrimp, lobsters, and several different types of hermits crabs, huge schools of silversides occasionally bumping us. Wow! Being able to dive in the sanctuary of the #1 dive site in the USA, but outside of the crowds and time limits of Phil Foster park is Awesome!!!!! We started posting pictures on Facebook under specialized scuba and will keep posting, just a little slow. Can't wait to see this place when all the renovations are done. It's like Bonaire at half price and it's right here in Florida.

HIDDEN GEM!!!! Open Waters Resort scuba diving was my absolute favorite excursion on my vacation. The rooms were very clean and welcoming along with the nicest staff I have came in contact with while staying at a resort. You DEFINITELY need to check it out next time you are in the area !

This place is a divers paradise. It’s a perfect entry into the waters surrounding the Blue Heron Bridge. No more arriving at dawn to find a parking space.

Great stay at Open Waters Resort. The owner Carl was very responsive to request. Both he and Daryl helped me unload and load my car. Close to restaurants, shopping, the beach and Paley Institute where I had ankle surgery last November.

The staff was more then hospitable and went the extra mile to ensure our stay & comfortability. Me and my family are more than satisfied. And I love the on-site access to the beach and kayaking.

The small beach gave our scuba school easy access to do training by (and under) the Blue Heron bridge. The staff was very friendly.

This place is a jewel in the rough. Staff/Amenities/Location/Price beats any bougie place on Singer Island. I can’t say enough good things about it!
