I purchased a 2006 Ford F-250 from Dean, the truck manager. Dean was without question the most professional and knowledgable sales person I encountered during this process. He knows trucks, so if your a truck guy/gal, you can rest assured that he knows what he's talking about. More importantly, he knows what YOU'RE talking about. Additionally, Dean is not so much concerned about making the sale than he is about making you comfortable with your purchase. Here's my story . . .

I live in Vermont. Between the salt used to de-ice the roads, and the potholes, northeast winters are notoriously hard on vehicles. So I decided to search online for a rust-free southern truck. I searched Ebay, Autotrader, and Craigslist. Based on my search criteria, I narrowed my pick to 4 trucks in 4 locations - Houston, Baton Rouge, Sarasota, and Wide World of Cars in Lake Park, FL.

None one of the other salesmen gave me the thorough "walk around" phone inspection of the truck that Dean did. Most of the other salespeople were more concerned about locking me into their truck. All three salespeople told me that the truck I was interested in was on a test drive, to create a sense of urgency so that I would lay out $1000 deposit. They were more concerned about my seriousness (being an out-of-state buyer) and my ability to pay. Not to mention, they didn't even offer to pick me up from the airport. One salesman told me that he wouldn't. Can you believe that? I'm flying over a thousand miles to hand you $20K and you won't take 15 minutes to drive the 5 miles to the airport? I texted that salesman a picture of me and my new truck from Dean!

Dean did not ask me for a deposit. I told him I was flying down and he took my word and held the truck for me. I flew out of Burlington, VT at 7AM on a Saturday. He sent his right-hand man Chris to pick me up from Palm Beach Int'l. at 1PM. We went for a very long test drive, then he left me alone so that I could inspect the truck for myself on my own time. Once I was comfortable with my decision to buy the truck, the process went smoothly. I was trucking north on I-95 by 4PM, and in VT the following evening.

Although I love my new truck, this is not a review on the vehicle itself. It's a 10 year old truck with 160K. I've had it for 5K miles and so far no issues. What this is, is a review on my buying experience and the 5 star treatment I received from Dean. I hope to have this truck for a long time, but when the salt and potholes eat this truck up, I'll be calling Dean again. Thanks Bro!

I had a great buying experience here. The car was exactly as it appeared online, and it was in great condition. All the cars they had on the lot appeared to be near pristine. I drove over an hour to get there, but it was worth the drive. The price was fair with no added fees and they gave me a fair price for my trade as well. From the time I arrived to the time I left with my new car was about 2 hours. Everyone there was very friendly and upfront. (Having worked in the industry for many years I know the usual deceptive tactics and there were none here). If you're looking for a used car, I would look here first and skip the other shady independent dealers and the overpriced franchise guys.

After doing our research on the car we wanted, my family and I took the hour long trip up to Wide World of Cars and we are glad we did. Rob, Gary and Jerry were all friendly and helpful and my family and I were right at home inside their uniquely designed dealership that is original, interesting and fun! There were actually 3 or 4 cars on the lot that would have worked out but I ended up going with a sporty Suzuki that ive been having tons of fun driving since I bought it. Wide World of Cars is Family & Military friendly and are a Family run operation that have been in the business for 30+ years. These guys get it and made our car buying experience easy and enjoyable.

the experience was amazing, dean treated us like real people and not like someone to make money off. we even brought our son to look at the cars and he interact with him. he had knowledge of diesel trucks which is what we were interested in and told us of his experiences. by the time we came back to sign the papers it was like going to visit your uncle that you don't get to see often but look so forward to see cause he just is so interesting and has stories to share with knowledge behind them. we plan on going there for our next vehicle. The whole office staff just made the experience delightful instead of that normal awful dreaded I have to go purchase I car feeling. thank you dean - see you soon

The total experience was effortless. I chose my vehicle from viewing it online and upon physical inspection, it was just as described. The entire sale process went smoothly with no hidden fees. I am very pleased with my purchase and the fair price paid for my purchase.

The sales people were kind and, SO FAR (it has only been four days since my purchase) all is working out ok. One glitch, but I will always hope for the best.
Have a great day!

After my initial post, Dean their truck manager contacted me concerned about my experience. He voiced is disappointment and reached out wanting to redress my problem.

He assured me that, as a family run business, they strive to make the customer's experience pleasant and that they are left satisfied.

If you are looking for a good running truck, especially, the 5.9L diesel, Dean is the one to see.
Run, Run I would not advise purchasing a vehicle from this dealer as they do not honor their advertised warranty. I purchased a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 with the Cummings 5.9 and within 30 days found that the rear end is shot and needs repairs. When I contacted them about the problem, the said that my vehicle is excluded from their ALL vehicles list as posted on their web page. They would not even make an attempt to work with me on getting my vehicle fixed; they would not even offer to make some arrangement to meet in the middle regarding my issue. They simply said they would not argue with me and hung up the phone. Evidently, they do not appreciate their customers nor want their repeat business or possible business they may generate with a good word on the street or through social media. I would give them a less then 1 star but I am unable to.

Do NOT buy your car from this place! ! They are scam artists! I drove 3 & 1/2 hours to see a used BMW. I went for a test drive, the car had no gas, broken plastics pieces inside & the sales person acted like he did not know about it. Then he told me he actually own both the Z3 (in the lot) & he was selling them because he didn't have a garage anymore because he moved to an apartment. Lied about how many accidents were reported. What a lie - as I checked Car Fax before hand. After I test drove the car & checked the features - I found the passenger window did not work. Then turned on the radio & the cover fell down because they had stripped the actual radio inside - no radio! Broken plastic pieces inside the car & the salesman acted like he didn't know about it. I am actually going to report the whole situation to the Better Business Bureau & have them investigate this horrible place! Do NOT go to this Horrible Place!

The car had fire damage that was never disclosed and the problem that caused the fire was never fixed! The car could have blew up on me! And they dont even have the title! bought the car from dean at this car lot and it has been the worst experience ever. I bought the car on 1/20/17 paid for the car in full and still don't have my title. I recommend staying away from this company. They put fear in my heart to deal with any car lot ever again.
Don't trust this company! Dean took my money and Jerry wrote up the contract.
It is now 4/21/17. I invested money into the car. The car had small fire damage under the hood that was never diclosed.
This company should be SHUT DOWN!
It is against the law to sell a car without title. I'm hoping motor vehicle will put an end to this company.

Called the dealership interested in a 2010 f250 that I am really interested in. I have a phone number from the west coast being military and moving a lot. I contacted their truck salesman and was trying to get a ballpark in the truck price and trade and warranty options because I live an hour and a half away. Most unprofessional car salesman I have ever talked to. I buy a car every two years and this has never happened to me. Condescending tone and talking smack for some reason. I don't know if he was thinking I was trying to scam him because of my non local phone number but either way it shouldn't of happened. I would steer clear from this dealership. I only talked on the phone, imagine if I had walked through the door. Saddens me because this truck I had narrowed it down to be the one I wanted to purchase.

1 star because the car I bought has dog hair that can't be removed with a vaccum. Also, there were personal belongings between the seats and not to mention the fact that it is bug infested. Obviously i can fix these problems but when you buy a car, used or not, it should at least be presentably clean. This is the 3rd car that I have purchased from this place and the old owners made my experience way better.

This dealership is so unethical! They sold us a car that they didn't have a title to And now we can't get our money back. Went to the dealership, they ignored me and they told me "to talk to my congressman" about it. Called multiple times and they blocked my number! Terrible place don't buy from them!!
