Upham Beach Inn

I loved this little place so much! It is a treasure. The location is incredible...just a block from the beach!!! They have wagons and beach chairs on site so we were able to take those to the beach without have to worry about rentals. The pool and lounge area is my personal favorite. It’s inviting & the palm trees definitely set the mood 🤩😎🌴 Our room was super clean and spacious. We used the full kitchen and loved the living room that was separate from the bedroom. I’m used to tiny hotel rooms so that was a nice upgrade. All in all, I had an amazing stay here..this was actually my second time back. Another perk about this location is it includes PARKING. If you’ve been the St. Pete area then you know how valuable that is 💯 Thanks for the great stay! We will be back!

SQUEAKY CLEAN! This place is great. Walking distance to restaurants and ice cream. A short easy walk to the beach (the street ends at the beach's parking lot, and it is not a busy street). They even provide you a wagon to roll your things to the beach.

The room was extremely clean, and the public areas and the pool were also clean and well cared for. Even stuff like the remotes, air conditioner vents, baseboard, etc. were cleaned.

Not a "spring break" party atmosphere, which was a plus for us.

We stayed in one of the 1-bedroom units. There is good separation between the bedroom and kitchen/living room in case anybody needs space to sleep or work separately. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, dishes, and a full size fridge. It's a good, usable size for a vacation kitchen.

Will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area!

My family and I recently stayed at the Upham Beach Inn and absolutely loved it. The beach is a short walk away from the property as well as privately owned ice cream shops and a small bar/restaurant, Rick's Reef. It was newly renovated and has a cozy feel. The kids loved having their own room with a TV with cable hook-up.

The owners have equipped their property with practically everything you could need. There is a grill available to the tenants that we cooked hot dogs and burgers our first night. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and pots/pants.

Each unit comes with a "beach box" that comes with an umbrella, a wagon, two chairs, and toys for the kids. After visiting the beach we returned to the property and took advantage of the heated pool.

We would definitely stay there again and look forward to the opportunity.

We absolutely loved this quiet, little piece of paradise. It is perfect for a couple who want to have peaceful time together. We even tried to add more days but it was booked up. The property has 12 units, I loved this about it. Everything was so clean and the room was perfect! The pool was perfect as well. We got to meet the property owners and they were so nice! It is located within walking distance of the beach and plenty of places to eat. Highly recommend this place.

WOW! We just had the PERFECT family vacation in this hidden gem! Upham Beach Inn is a beautiful, very well-maintained and just completely renovated complex in a great location. With Covid restrictions I was nervous to take the whole family to FL but let me tell you that we felt very safe at this quiet and respectful place with only 12 units, we were very much at home just a few minutes walk from the beautiful Upham beach. Don't miss the spectacular sunsets there!!! The condo was perfect for our family of 4, we had two bedrooms, a living room and a fully functional kitchen all decorated nicely. I love to cook but we also had a chance to mix it up with some very tasty deliveries and take outs. Everything is within walking distance (three ice cream shops, multiple restaurants and a convenient store). Best part was that we all had a chance to do what we liked. The heated pool was our favorite family spot, our youngest needed to finish some work for school and the WiFi was a great plus. My husband and I LOVED our bike rides (they have 6 bikes available) to watch the sunset from different locations. Our oldest had a chance to grill some amazingly tasty fresh seafood from a local store. Our family travels quite a bit and we don't visit places twice, but we'd go back in a heartbeat. My husband booked a long weekend at the Upham Beach Inn for my birthday and we had a wonderful time! The property was pristine and modern, making for a very cozy stay. The owners have thought of everything- the beach towels, chairs, and carts are perfect for the 5-minute walk to the beach. Not to mention the new windows blocked out all of the road noise. The location was perfect- within walking distance to several bars and restaurants. This five-star stay is an amazing value. Make Upham Beach Inn your home away from home for your next trip!

WOW!!! The Upham Beach Inn is a hidden gem just steps from St Pete Beach. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The owners were there to greet us upon arrival and made sure to take care of any requests we had in a prompt manner. The rooms and pool area have been completely renovated. They even had beach buggies that were available free of charge. Highly recommend staying at this property. We can’t wait to come back!

This place is fantastic! I’ve never slept so good in my life! Close to so many restaurants & a block off the beach. I grew up with my Mom taking me to Upham Beach as a kid. This is our new favorite home away from home spot!!

STAY HERE! Melissa and Dave were awesome to work with! The motel was super clean and they recently re-modeled! Absolutely perfect place to stay with young kids as well. It's a VERY short walk to the beach and it's right in the heart of Upham Beach. Super affordable and they were more than happy to accommodate us for even the smallest of things. I can not stress enough that this place rocked!

Immaculate, pristine, and a great price point for the area.

I stayed six nights in Unit 3. Strong WiFi (free), great shower, super comfy mattress, big fluffy hotel quality towels, beach towels, strong AC, and a fully appointed kitchen which included a coffee bean grinder and even a blender for your morning fruit smoothie or evening cocktail!
I loved the extra little touches like complimentary coffee beans, make-up removers and a soft make-up towel. Smart thinking since it keeps the bath towels immaculate.

The property is newly renovated. It was so clean I felt like I was the first person to stay there!
Also loved the classic nautical décor. Owners Dave and Melissa have apparently put a lot of thought into appointing the rooms. All the details are sheer perfection.

Each room has a locked box outside the door stocked with everything you will need for the beach, even a foldable beach wagon to cart your things!

The inn is just steps away from one of the most highly rated beaches in the country. Clear water and plenty of pure white sand.

Met the owner, Dave, who deservedly takes pride in his property. He is friendly and accommodating. Convenient key-less self-check in. If you need anything, calls are promptly returned.

I rented a car because I had family to visit in the area, but since EVERYTHING, including the beach, is within walking distance you can beat the astronomical car rental rates and just uber it from the airport. I believe they also rent bikes and there is free access to a nearby gym. If you are not a beach person there is a sparkling, heated pool and beautifully appointed patio with plenty of chairs and umbrellas.

My only disappointment: I didn’t book for longer! I got to enjoy this gem for just 6 nights, but I will be back next year to stay for at least two weeks. It is THAT great. Book early from their website for a great rate!

PS: The day I left, the room had a cancellation and became available for an additional 3 nights. Dave, who is, as I said, fantastic, kindly contacted me. Had I not already booked another hotel for my last week, I would have jumped at the opportunity. By the time I called back just a couple hours later the room had already booked which does not surprise me!

Hidden Gem on Gulf BLVD! This small, 12 unit, completely renovated property is absolutely quaint and a slice of paradise! CLEAN, quiet and within walking distance to restaurants and shops on Gulf Blvd. If you don’t feel like eating out, grab some steaks from the store and fire up the large grill on the property! Pool was never crowded, in fact, for several days, I was the only one at the pool. Dave, the owner, is awesome! He is onsite every morning personally cleaning the rooms of those who have checked out and ensuring the other guests are completely satisfied. I will only stay at Upham Beach Inn when I am in the area in the future! The most relaxing vacation I have had in years! Thank you Dave and Upham Beach Inn for you awesome hospitality!

A MUST STAY! Dave & Melissa were very professional & wonderful host's! The condo was very clean, recently remodeled, awesome kitchen, a very comfortable stay! Just minutes/walking distance to the beach, restaurants and bar's! We have already booked our week for next year! We highly recommend!

Girls trip!!! Our group of 6 loved this place! The rooms were clean and spacious and our hosts thought of our every need! What a cute place! We loved the heated pool and the beach was a very short walkable distance. There are bikes to rent and beach wagons ready to use. We will definitely stay here again!

Place was nice and clean with a beachy atmosphere, pool was very private and relaxing. Great stay, can’t wait to come back. Affordable and good quality. Dave was very responsive and even gave us an extra half hr for check out due to my work schedule and not making me rush. Appreciated it greatly. We will be back.

This is the BEST place on Saint Pete Beach that I have ever stayed. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The owners went out of their way to ensure that we had a wonderful week at the beach. The location is perfectly located to restaurants, shops, beach bars and the beach. My boyfriend and I won’t stay any other place now that we have found the Upham Beach Inn. I just can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is and we will be booking again soon! Thanks again to the owners for making our stay so perfect.

This was our 3rd visit to this location, but our first with the new owners. So many wonderful updates: all rooms updated, added extras like an ice machine, a beach box with a wagon and chairs, beach towels, toiletries, blow dryer, coffee beans and a grinder, kitchen basics(dish soap, salt and pepper, utensils, dishes, oil), bikes to use and more! There are only 12 units and it’s a nice flat, 2 block walk to the beach. The pool is refreshing after a day at the beach and never crowded. Nice poolside chairs, umbrellas and tables. There are many places within walking distance but renting a car allowed us the freedom to check out other areas and go to the grocery store! It’s also very quiet. We can’t wait to go back! Thank you, Dave and Melissa, for a great week away!

Just returned from a stay April 10-14 with 2 girlfriends. Everything was exactly as described. The inn was clean, well maintained, and up to date. The kitchen was well stocked, and the owners were available when replishment of items were needed. The owner Dave was there when we arrived to welcome us and both Dave and Melissa were present when we checked ot to thank us and bid us a safe journey home.
Would highly recommend for any type of vacation. The Inn is a 2 minute easy walk to the beach, and there are multiple restaurants and amentities within walking distance. We ate several meals at Rick's Reef right beside the Inn, and would return again.

This was the perfect place for vacation, we were skeptical about the red tide, but ended up staying 2 extra nights! The location was absolutely perfect, the pool was perfect the condo was so cute and clean, very updated! The owners were responsive and very helpful.. this is a hidden gem that we plan on going to every year, if not more!

Stayed in the 2 bedroom unit for a long weekend and loved it. Large family unit, Beautifully decorated and stocked meticulously with everything needed to enjoy your vacation including a beach wagon with chairs and rafts. Beach only a 3 minute walk away and many restaurants within walking distance. Great location!! Would highly recommend 🙂
