Sunset Park

Cute little park nestled next to the a lake that is filtered for city water. There is a small playground there with swings for kids and babies. I love this tiny park. Parking is on the street so be careful getting in and out. You can have a nice picnic here. However, I did see a homeless man sleeping in a sleeping bag by the lake once. He didn't cause any friction with anyone. Can't go in the water though due to alligators. Sign is posted. You can watch beautiful sunsets there.

Absolutely beautiful place to go meditate, walk , or fish 🐟. The trees are massive and it feels almost like your in a avatar movie. The park is not high but there's plenty of room and rarely much traffic besides the occasional speed walkers making there way around the track. Oh and if it's fish your looking for, well the fresh water lake is pristine thanks to the strict electric power only rules, which is great if your yack is outfitted with a trolling motor. There's a plethora of wildlife, mini species of game fish to target mainly largemouth. The water is crystal clear and harbors alot of hydrilla and duckweed. So I'd recommend top water or rubber worm Texas rigged (weedless). Whatever your preference is , sunset park never disappoints.

loved this spot. previous reviews concerning the lack of parking are correct. u can park on the side of Australian Ave, at your own risk, but I had no issues.

A very beautiful and green place for children and adults! There is water nearby, tranquility, a wonderful children's playground, many benches so you can sit down and enjoy nature! Thank you very much !

This is a passive park on the shores of Lake Mangonia. Park amenities include a walking/ jogging path, playground, and benches. There are beautiful large banyan and royal poinciana trees in the park. The playground is currently closed and there are no restrooms and very limited parking. This park is a popular place for people who live in the Lake Mangonia neighborhood to work out and watch the sun set.
