The Big Catch at Salt Creek

I did a Google search for "hole in the wall" seafood, because those those off the beaten path places are usually the best. The Big Catch did NOT disappoint. We ordered a couple of frozen pina coladas and the fried cauliflower for an appetizer. If you have not tried their fried cauliflower, it is an absolute must! I had the Maui tacos and my husband had the shrimp dinner. We talked about this lunch the whole way home. Absolutely wonderful. Shout out to our waitress, Jade. She was delightful.

Hands down the BEST peel & eat shrimp I've ever tasted!! Served hot with the most delicious seasoned sauce we certainly didn't need any condiments or crackers....the best and I've eaten a lot of 🦐. This is a little diamond in the rough. The atmosphere is great. 2 bar areas, waterfront seating, large picnic table seating for large parties. Dog friendly, kid friendly. Live 🎶 great service and quality of food. I recommend giving Big Catch a try for a real Florida dining experience.

A friend and I stopped here on a whim for lunch based off a review on Google. It was sooooo good!! We both got the exact same thing; blackened grouper sandwich and the Siren Song cocktail.

I love blackened grouper and try it every time I go somewhere new. It was so fresh and seasoned perfectly! They don't skimp on size either! I'm not typically a tartar sauce fan, but they make theirs in-house so I decided to try it. It was so good that I dipped my fries in it lol

The view was great, complete with dolphins, and the service was fantastic! Definitely try this place out!!

Just stopped in for a couple drinks and a little snack but were blown away. Awesome old Florida atmosphere, delicious food, and great staff. We will absolutely be back. Update…came back, soo delicious. GET THE CUBAN!

Nice layed back Tiki bar, very good food. Nice view, live music occasionally when we've been and that was good too.

The Big Catch is a rustic restaurant on the water among marinas. As an avid sailor, I love that atmosphere and have been here several times. We ate outside and though it was cold, they had outdoor heaters that cut the chill. I had a blackened cobia, which was a special of the day and delicious. I also had a very good margarita and our waitress was friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a casual place to eat with good food and drinks, The Big Catch is worth a try.

Happened in on a Monday evening. Trivia was just ending. We were able to sit outside near the water and enjoy the weather middle of February. Great beer selection! Calamari & mussels were delicious for an app. Kids noodles and fries were a large amount. The shrimp boil was good but some shrimp were too overdone and falling apart. Scallops were AHHMAZZING🤤. Son got the salmon w/ glaze on the side and loved it. Nice place to walk to from our Airbnb .6 miles away. 2 moms and 4 kids felt very safe even at 10 pm going home. Waitress was very friendly and efficient. Hope to return one day!

My favorite St. Pete restaurant great drinks, food, (you have to get the muscles) and atmosphere right on the water at a yacht club. It's a hidden gem.

Ate here after the Dalí museum and the food was very good. It was chilly, but they have heaters and warmer areas outside. Great views of the creek/river. Parking was free and convenient.

A must place to stop and slow down. The locals are friendly the owner Steve was fantastic! The vibe of this place is like no other with a bar hooked in right off the docks. Watch boats roll by while enjoying great drinks, amazing food and ocean air. I tried the grouper fried sandwich, could not be any happier. My buddy loved it blackened, it was seasoned and cooked to perfection.

Great place to goto by boat or by car. Love the live music and have heard some good artists here. Drinks are always cold too!

Waterside restaurant with casual beach vibe and outdoor seating. Food was typical of what you’d find in a beachside spot. We tried the Grouper Bites, Fish Tacos, and some Parmesan Wings. Everything was very tasty and service was quick. Place is neat and clean and safe practices.

I love coming to Big Catch, Ive always had a fun time and awesome service! Sean the bartender is fantastic! Always happy to see you and has your drink ready.
P.S. Y'all should permanently add the mashed potatoes I tried with the Kobia special, they were delightful!

The food was wonderful! I got the shrimp boil and it was great. My partner got the tacos and really enjoyed them. I look forward to trying more of their menu! Cierra was our bartend and server and she was so friendly and helpful! Well definitely be back.

A wonderful little St. Pete gem tucked away and loved by locals. We sat and watched a momma and baby dolphin play in the water right off the dock while we ate. The fish spread is mid, but the chicken sandwiches are handmade and amazing! There is always live music and the staff is great!

We went to The Big Catch for lunch and had Fatima as our server. We ordered the Blackened Snapper which was excellent. The presentation was beautiful, the portion size was very generous and the taste was amazing. Also included in our order was the 1/2 pound of cold shrimp. There were 9 large shrimp, lemon and cocktail sauce. The shrimp were fresh, tasty and satisfied my hunger. Fatima waited on us which completed our great experience. She was personable and attentive. We can't wait to get back for Happy Hour!

Our server was very friendly and accommodating for my son and his food allergies. He ordered the Grouper but devoured it before I could take a photo. He enjoyed it and we would return as this was an allergy friendly restaurant.
