They also collect books written by black female authors to donate to the community if you want to bring some along to donate.

There was a time all Atlanta had was Barnes & Noble, A Cappella, and Atlanta Classic Books. With the death of B&N, we have been missing a bookstore with a great selection of books both for adult and children (and they even have some games). And now here it is! With a more intimate feel than VaHi Books. I’m an A Cappella regular, but loved this spot as I can shop for our whole family. And the booksellers are very knowledgeable and are clearly proud of the store. 100% will be back.

This was a great find when I was shopping for gifts for my niece! Service was great and I found exactly what I needed. Also a great assortment of graphic novels with beautiful art! Will be returning 🥰

Such a lovely little bookstore with a great selection. Top notch choices and deals on some books, and the way the store is arranged makes wandering around it so fun. There's also a nice area of art from local artists, including jewelry. My only complaint is one they can't really do anything about, which is how hard it is to find parking nearby. Definitely plan to park a ways away and walk. But lots of other shops nearby are nice too, so it's not a huge burden to stroll around!

This smallish shop is very clean and keeps a thoughtfully arranged selection of books in many genres, new and used. I found a nice used fiction paperback novel for a good price. Recommended!

What’s not to love about Bookish? An awesome shop with a juicy assortment of new + used titles. Easy, off-street parking. A friendly, queer owner whose passion for connecting good people to good books is palpable. A fun location within easy walking distance of some of EAV’s best spots. And a smallbutmighty team that’s deeply invested in the community. ❤

Stopped in yesterday while I was visiting Atlanta. Very cute bookstore and had a really good selection, especially considering it was a bit on the smaller side. The lady working was also super nice! Definitely appreciate the parking lot also because I’m not a good parallel parker.

What a truly lovely neighborhood gem! I was thoroughly impressed with how well the woman working there knew so much about so many of the books they have. I especially enjoyed listening to her engage my shy child, drawing out interests and making recommendations - even sharing a laugh. And don't let the small size fool you. Not only is it well stocked, they can source anything in print for delivery. This is more than a bookstore, it's an experience.

This is a super cute bookshop with an amazing selection! Both used and new books at great prices and all genres. She also has a ton of super popular books right now that most other bookstores don’t have. I’ll definitely be back!

A small bookstore with a very curated collection, but you're still almost certain to find something you'll love tucked into the shelves. If you're looking for something in particular, ask the owner and she'll have it ordered and to you very quickly!

Nice neighborhood bookshop in East Atlanta Village

A very lovely local bookshop, with fantastic selections and very cozy vibes! It’s so important to support local booksellers, so I highly recommend popping in when in need of a read, card, or knickknack!

I did not get around to this book store for a long time, due to being busy and then covid, but finally got around to it last week and I'm so glad I did! Great selection for myself and my kid, great recommendations from the owner on kids books and what we should start reading. Definitely will be back to buy way too many books.

Not only did this store feature a great selection – they were all perfectly arranged and made it easy to find what I wanted. The selection ranged from essential novels such as “The Road” and “Kite Runner” to entire manga sets, childrens books, and non-fiction. It’s also worth noting that everything is pre-owned, so the prices are unmatched. And as if things couldn’t better, the lady working there was very sweet and she’s a great conversationalist. This store is absolutely worth checking out if you’re in the area, and I will be going here normally.

Amazing local bookstore! The owner and staff are super helpful and knowledgeable. Very solid selection and the organization of store makes it fun to get lost and browse
