Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park

If you've ever driven the main back road between Whitesburg and Carrollton (GA 27), then you've driven past this park. Near the traffic circle.
As a third-generation military veteran, Air Force, AND first-generation Federal Police Officer, I'm glad I finally took the time to visit this small yet highly appreciated memorial to fellow veterans and first responders. This is the only one I've seen that acknowledged them together.

Make this a MUST visit.
Especially if you have/had someone who are/were veterans, then you already know how special..
sometimes in a 'super s/hero' kinda way..
we are/were.

P.S.: There's more to see on the other side. But, I'm on recovery mode from 3 😁 recent back surgeries. I'm looking forward to the walk and adding more 📸. Will post.

Great memorial park! Always clean and well kept! It is a great way to remember those who have given their lives for us! Every memorial and Veterans Day they have a nice ceremony with band/singing music and a great speaker!

Beautiful memorial park we encountered during a roadtrip back to texas from georgia. We took a detour south of Atlanta and found this gem! As a Goldstar family we truly appreciated this memorial park in honor of our heroes. It is very clean and very well kept. Theres plenty of parking and lots of benches where u can sit down, enjoy the area and reflect. It truly was our wink for the day.

Very nicely maintained and a great addition to our community. Restrooms kept clean in most cases.

Great place to walk and Revere our fallen soldiers. Very nice and peaceful!

It was nice. Very peaceful. A nice little place to honor the fallen. Really like the monuments such as the table, the obelisk, and the two water spouts near it.

The only reason that I am not giving this Beautifully maintained park 5 out of five stars is because of the fact that they're missing the plate the lemon slice and the salt for the POW/MIA table which was taken from the table and has yet to be replaced. Overall fantastic Park. I love seeing little towns that honor their warriors and such a beautiful manner. Would definitely return if I was back in the area.

I went to honer my brother who gave his all in ww2. It's well kept.
