Emory Rehabilitation Hospital

My Mother-N-Love had a stroke! She was accepted in to this acute rehab. She was in the rehabilitation center for 21 days. Chrissy was the social worker and she definitely went above and beyond for our family unique situation.

Parking was good they have valet available but, it’s not available during visitation hours (4pm to 8pm) which is great because you can park anywhere on the property fro no charge.

From the moment we entered the door we were treated with kindness. We have to sign in and out every visit. You also have to put your name on a temporary badge (this is a horrible badge because it always comes off) and fill Bally you out on your badge. Typically one person goes up but for our situation because I am the caregiver for my Mother-N-Love and my daddy we had to get special approval through Chrissy and the team.

You have to get on an elevator which is directly across from the front desk!

The patient rooms are very spacious. And I love that they are single in rooms by themselves!

My Mother-N-Love had to be put in an adult crib for her safety. She didn’t realize her on strength and kept trying to get out of bed and go to the rest but because she was weak she would fall. She also have to be restrained in the wheelchair it was just a belt connected the wheelchair with a locked connected that needed to be unlocked with a key that the techs, therapist and nurses had. This method worked to keep my Mother-N-Love safe. My Mother N Love loved the crib and it was comfortable until she had to go to the ladies room.

Now, let’s talk about these amazing therapists. These are the Primary Therapists but the entire team helped my Mother- N- Love get better. Introducing the All Star Team of Therapists starting with…

Recreational therapists:
Yvette Tisdale, Amanda Smith, Kelly-Blaine Uehling

Speech Therapist: Molly Warendh and Jenna Rieske

Occupational Therapists: Maury Woods, Jordan Hawk and Lauren Panen.

Physical Therapists: Victoria Alonso and Nathan Short.

My Mother N Love had a daily schedule as well.

What I can tell you is this when my Mother-N-Love arrived she couldn’t walk, barely talk etc….when we checked out could walk with assistance, talk well, eat good etc. I know this would have not been possible without this team.

All techs, nurses, cleaning crew, maintenance team, the food crew went above and beyond for us. They met every need that we had. I’m so grateful for them all. The charge nurses made good decisions to ensure my Mother-N-Love safety. I tried to get everybody’s name but I couldn’t. Just know they were all good and attentive to her needs. The food was balanced and sometimes good and sometimes not.

Dr. Cassandra with Kaiser was the Attending physician…she was the over seeing doctor of my mother-n-love. Though the doctor make great decisions for her we didn’t get to meet but talk to her until we were checking out.

Chrissy Lort or Loft(I’m sure I got her last name wrong) made sure that we were well equipped with home health care, my mother in loves a wheelchair and everything else that we would need at home. The therapist also gave us tips on what we could purchase to keep her safe at home.

Before checkout or discharge we had to go to therapy with my Mother-N-Love for a whole day. They have a replica of an apartment and a car as a form of therapy. Great idea. Love the therapy area as well.

Overall we was pleased with the service of this facility. They exceeded our needs but, I also communicated thoroughly with them as well.

Thanks to everyone that helped us while we were at the facility. I know I don’t have all of your names but I’m so grateful for everyone that served down to the valet! 🙏🏽

I was at this rehab following a horrid auto crash.
The therapists are wonderful! , they worked with me on every level from OT to RT.
AMANDA was my OT, and my angel throughout this period of uncertainty and darkness.
I am 98% back to my normal self.
It was uncertain if ever walk again I walk, I ride my horse, I do the things I love.
Thank you emory and all the therapists and Dr’s for helping me come back to life.

I give the nursing staff a 5 star but the food was horrible you have to order in advance so alot of times I couldn't remember what I ordered because you order 2 days in advance. There is absolutely nothing exciting to do for extra activities unless you get it for physical therapy. It could use some extra activities for the patients to do too help time an gives us something to do to look forward for jus to be our of our rooms. The nursing staff was amazing IJ I so loved 😍 ❤ All of the physical therapy staff was great as well. My main person in physical therapy was Sema an Stephanie if I'm remembering correctly they were great an don't let me forget Ken so yes the staff get a 5

- I was transferred here from Grady … nervous emotions everywhere and uncomfortable… honestly I was just over thinking everything. My experience here was amazing . I was the “baby” lol 24 years old but it helped me in many ways . I’m so thankful for my nurse Saratu! When I say she is the sweetest ,purest nurse she made me feel so welcomed and literally was always willing to help . me and my sister truly love her ! And I can’t forget about Beth !!!! She is an amazingggggggg occupational therapist such a wonderful caring spirit and listening ear I’m so grateful to have experienced the both of them 💙🙏🏽 Overall really good experience - Eriol Perry

I was in here along time, it felt like two years, I could be way off but, I could not have not have asked for better care. BIG shout on for Shandra, Annette, and Mrs.Shawn. Thanks for everything. Physical Therapy was a hassle but, it made me stronger. Thanks. Everyone at Emory was great!! Thanks for caring and all you do!

The food wasn't very good, however I wasn't there to eat. I was there to learn how to walk again and give my self a bath, basically hate it there enough to force my self to get moving. My physical therapist and nurse's were awesome. And I really appreciate all the things you did for me. Like cooking my rare bloody roast beef to doneness so I could eat it. And all the whole milk yall managed to find so my platelets would increase. Thanks for washing my mixing jar out, so I could drink the liquid meal supplement You didn't drop me, and I wasn't molested, or stolen from. And you didn't let me catch the Covid-19 virus. You all were kind and helpful and you helped me through one of the toughest experiences of my life. May God Bless you all, especially Andrew.

I appreciate the entire staff at Emory Rehabilitation Hospital I was transferred here after being at Emory University Hospital for over 3 1/2 months fighting Covid Pneumonia and its long haul symptoms
For 2 weeks they have a very intense Physical and Occupational Therapy program in place that helps the patients get stronger..and more independent after incidents whether it's sickness or an accident...Im forever grateful....

I was here and I think inpatient Lauren and David are just outstanding they have brought me along way I thank them for everything they did for me they push me to get better and that made me want to get better. Matt in outpatient is great also they just went the extra mile I think their just the best at what they do thanks alot. Cliffton Rd location-

As far as I am concerned it is the best Rehabilitation hospital in the country I had brain surgery (Dr. Adamson) Who is the Best Brain Surgeon, and I had an excellent experience, where they got me back on my feet walking, talking, everything, even the person who served me food was excellent if you need rehabilitation this is the place to go.

Great had a stroke 2months ago from i.c.u all the way to the rehab was great people who really care about people.im gonna name just a few, in it taking anything away from anyone else but .miss bola...kate.keasha,lila,Desi
Devon kadishaan many more help made it home to say anything negative about those nurses / angles piss me off go 2 Rockdale I wish I could repay them personally but they are in my prayers..

Here right now and I give them an A+. They very orgaized, skilled, passionate about all aspects of my rehab experience. They have went above and beyonndfor me and my family.

Very informative and very good at making sure the equipment is exactly what you need for mobility
