Wow wee!

Tried this restaurant on a whim as it's near our new office. Amazing, authentic, tasty, wholesome, homemade food. Have not had this quality Mexican food in a long time.

Service, quality, and price were all amazing.

The food tasted great and was backed up with friendly service.

Can't wait to go back! 😋

I’m from AZ and know true authentic Mexican. THIS is the spot. There’s probably ~8 other Mexican places in less than a three mile radius but if you need good flavor, cheap prices, and a nice happy hour come thru. They make their Al Pastor in house, it’s insanely delicious.

My first time visiting this restaurant, & it was enjoyable. I was surprised to see how many customers were there having dinner, and plenty food everywhere. Which all looked good. Even as the dining room, which seats at least 50, was busy and happy, the two ladies working kept up with all dishes, plus take out orders. Which I applaud them for. My meal tasted great, and look forward to trying other dishes, from here.

The Fajita Nachos were delicious as well as the guacamole, margaritas and everything else we had. The staff were awesome and very efficient and the music added to the ambiance. Would definitely go back!

Don’t judge a book by its cover! Stopped in for lunch as I was traveling for work and let me tell you, it was probably the best Mexican food I have eaten in a very long time. I told my wife I would drive her several hours just to eat here. If you’re contemplating a lunch spot, then look no further than here, you won’t be disappointed

This Mexican restaurant is a gem, offering a vibrant atmosphere and authentic flavors. The chimichanga was delightfully crispy and generously filled, while the tacos were a flavor-packed journey with each bite. Both dishes showcased the fresh ingredients and culinary skill of the kitchen. Alongside attentive service, it's a must-visit spot for a genuine taste of Mexico.

Quesobirrias has to be the best in the city, probably the state, likely the Eastern half of the continent. Always welcoming and friendly staff. Everything is fresh and tasty. Prices are also on-point. Lost of parking, even space for truckers to pull in if they want to as it is right off the road with a big parking lot that's usually mostly empty.

The food is always delicious. It's authentic and not out of the microwave. The Texas rice is my favorite! The staff is always friendly and the place is clean.

The best Mexican restaurant in the area. True, authentic dishes that genuinely feel homemade! The ambience feels so welcoming and feels like you’re having dinner with your family. I ordered the fajitas and the quesadillas, I believe it was the quesobirria. Everything was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat! The staff was also so sweet and tentative, you can tell the staff enjoys their time in the restaurant and actually love their jobs which is so rare these days. Our favorite thing was their fresh mango juice, this is a must have. You also get a ton of food for what you pay for! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough wow!

I have been frequenting another local Mexican restaurant both during my off time and my lunch breaks from work, always getting the torta and/or tacos. At the time, it was THE best I’d had and would not accept anyone else around could be better. A friend at work told me to give La Chalupa a chance. Fridays are for my wife and I to spend a few hours together for lunch and shopping, so we dropped in for an early lunch. The first option presented was their lunch buffet, and although enticing, I already knew what I wanted to try. Thankfully we got there before the regular lunch crowd, as it got pretty busy by the time our food arrived. This was clearly a popular spot that I had ignored for far too long. My choice of a Torta Asada (beef sandwich) and Taco al Pastor was beyond perfection, and nearly gut busting. The al pastor was cooked just right, and their mild green sauce put it over the top. The Torta had a toasted bun, melted cheese, and a lot of flavor. Neither needed the green sauce, but I can never help myself. La Chalupa easily put themselves at the top of the list of my favorite Torta in the Savannah area. Anyone who has driven Hwy 21 on a weekly basis in the Garden City area has seen this place and probably didn’t give it a second thought, like myself. This is called human error. Give them a try. They do fresh cooked, real al pastor on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and $1 al pastor tacos on Wednesdays.

This place is a hidden gem the food was so far one of the best Mexican I have gotten here in Savannah. One of the things that I like the most is the process and the fact that this is not a fancy restaurant and if you about Mexican food this are the best places. I order a chimichanga and I will place this plate in my top five, and most definitely I will be back!

Had the food truck come to our apartment complex and we absolutely loved everything we ordered. The birria tacos, al pastor, carne asada, and chicken taco were all outstanding. The hot salsa was also fantastic. I'm very picky when it comes to tacos being from New Mexico, but this place made me feel like I was back in Albuquerque. Prices were amazing too and the staff were very friendly. 12/10 would recommend.

Their burritos are delicious! We got the carne asada burrito and pastor burrito. Both were loaded with flavor and had the perfect ratio of meat, beans, rice, and veggies. Although there was a lot of cheese, which I loved, my husband didn’t care for the amount of cheese in his burrito.

Also, they only allow 1 sauce on the side for each order, which was disappointing but you can buy more.

Other than that, great food and great service. Highly recommend!!

This is the real thing. Tried one al pastor, one carne asada and one carnitas taco paired with a Negra Modelo. The al pastor was sweet and crunchy, the carne was just right but the carnitas was ¡mejor! I could feel the fat melting onto my tongue from the first bite and so many crispy edges -- best carnitas I've had since leaving California a few years ago. The corn tortillas were light but solid, no breaking up in the middle of the taco. The tomatillo and green jalapeño salsas were bright and fresh, The freshly made tortilla chips really held up to salsa and eagerly scooped up the leftover taco bits. The staff was really friendly and the place was doing good business on a Saturday mid-afternoon.

I'm glad I chose this restaurant when I was in town. All the ladies serving provide great service. Food was great and reasonably priced, alcohol served but no bar onsite.
