I met Joel after the Alpharetta Women’s Half Marathon in 2022. It was my first half marathon after a snapping hip injury sustained in late 2020. I had been in regular PT for 9 months, which helped with the accrue issue. I knew if I was going to progress with my running beyond the 15 miles per week I had built up to, that I would need to continue with a specialized strength program. Joel was just the person to help with that. We met about once every 4-6 weeks to tweak the strength and pre-hab I was doing for my hip, with the goal of building mileage in a healthy way. This month I was able to complete the Disney Dopey Challenge (5k, 10k, half and full marathons on consecutive days) without issue. I know the strength program he helped me with was a key to building up from 15/20 miles per week to 35/40 miles per week. Thanks Joel!

Dr Joel is 5-star. I came to Mission Move for an ongoing neck/shoulder issue (exacerbated by my desk job) that was accompanied with disturbing nerve issues (numbness, coldness) in my arms and hands. I was no newbie to physical therapy, and I chose Mission Move over other options that took insurance because I really wanted some serious focused attention for my issue. Dr Joel spoke to me personally on the phone first and then I came in for a consultation. I really felt like he heard me and wasn’t rushing. He is also an incredibly nurturing, healing person to be around, on top of his expertise. I ended up taking a different route than I expected with my pt journey, and discovered new ways of managing my issues. He also helped me realize that I was stronger than I thought, which is huge, because I’ve always been afraid of hurting myself. Highly recommend Dr Joel— he has the experience, training, wisdom, and spirit for helping people live their most mobile lives.

Mission Move is great! I’m a cyclist, and went in with nagging pain in my left quad and calf after every hard ride. Dr Joel, the owner of Mission Move has a knack for figuring out what’s going on with you, and how he can help you work through it. After a couple of sessions and some homework, I begun to feel better and the nagging pain is pretty much gone. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed working with Joel. He's a very positive and upbeat individual. The exercises and care I received were specifically designed for me and what I needed. I didn't have a specific injury, but some chronic lower back and hip pain that was preventing me from being as active as I would have liked. We worked on making those areas stronger. My husband was impressed with the exercises I was assigned and is thinking of making some appointments for himself in the near future.

I can't recommend this place enough! I originally went there for a shoulder injury but once they helped me heal that, I signed up for "performance plus" visits to to get guidance with general strength training and fitness.

I'm 61 and have been pretty sedentary, so the goal was to find exercises I could gradually improve with and avoid injury by not pushing progress too fast. The strength training was very helpful but I also wanted to find some aerobic exercise I could take on.

After a aborted attempt at running, they suggested I look into cycling. I've always enjoyed riding my bike, but its been more for fun than exercise.

The PTs at mission move advised me on the type of bike and accessories to get and performed a "fitting." I got a lesson on cycling form and they even connected me up with a local crew that does group cycling.

I'm riding ~25 miles a couple times a week now and really enjoying it. I don't think I'd of gotten this far without their help. Wouldn't hesitate to go back for an injury or for help improving athletically.

A few months ago I couldn't walk or stand and was in extreme pain due to a sciatic nerve issue. I called Joel Eaby at North Point Physical Therapy and he took the time to talk to me over the phone and gave me some tips to help relieve the pain through extension protocol.

I was able to see him the same day and he spoke with me in depth about what was going on and how to get better. By the next day I was up and walking again and the pain had subsided. I went back multiple times for therapy sessions and it has been amazing. Joel has me on a workout routine that is designed to strengthen my back and get me back on track.

Joel is a great guy and easy to talk to about what your issues are. He's very attentive and professional. The NPPT facility is also top notch, and a great place to get one on one therapy and physical training.

I highly recommend anyone needing physical therapy to see Joel. The first day I saw him I was unable to stand or walk. Without any pain medication or chiropractic/medical treatment I'm feeling a million times better and on track to being back to my old self!

Joel is an excellent therapist. He helped me with my lower back issue. Each week he would show me exercises to help build up the back muscle. It was so helpful to work with an expert and learn the proper form of the exercises. Part of my issue was that I was exercising but not using good form. Joel was so helpful and my back is no longer hurting. Also he is a great person overall and very easy to talk too.

I met with Joel to help me prepare for a 130 mile gravel bike race in middle Georgia. Joel set me up with an initial bike fitting and we worked together to create a mobility and strength program to set me up for success.

With the help of the program, I was able to reach my goal and complete the race! Definitely appreciate all the help and effort from Joel in getting me across the finish line.

Whether you're recovering from an injury, rehabbing from surgery, suffering the effects of time, or wanting to improve athletic performance, Dr Joel Eaby is amazing! He takes the time to listen to your issues and goals, accurately diagnose the problem, and create the best treatment plan for each individual. He genuinely cares about making people feel and move better, is extremely knowledgeable, and stays up-to-date on the latest techniques. I chose to see Dr. Joel Eaby for physiotherapy following my hip replacement and it turned out to be the best decision I could have made. Joel is upbeat, cares about his patients’ recovery and provides customized treatment plans. He has a great personality and there was never a dull moment—he is highly skilled, patient, very professional and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top-notch physiotherapist dedicated to providing the best possible treatment.

I was having hip and lower back pain when I went to see Joel. It was impairing my ability to just sit, let alone work out the way I wanted to. Joel does a great job of listening to your concerns, educating you, involving you in the choice of exercises, and making sure you are the focus of therapy (one to one sessions, which is different from most other adult PT providers). I have much less discomfort now and appreciate that I can go back anytime when I need to!

Dr. Joel has helped me so much since I started going to him for PT.
After a back injury, I was struggling with constant shoulder/back/chest tension and didn’t feel good working out or playing tennis.
Dr. Joel spent a great deal of time learning about my history, daily habits and workout routines to recommend some stretches and workouts.
I chose Mission Move because it’s right down the road from me and I am so glad that I did.
I am back to working out and playing tennis even more so than I was before I started PT.
I highly recommend Dr. Joel, he’ll get you moving in the right direction!

I went to see Dr. Joel after having incredibly uncomfortable tightness and dull pains in my back after riding on my Peloton bike 3-4 days a week. Joel showed me some relaxing exercises and stretches to help alleviate the pain. He also asked me to take a video of myself riding the Peloton and after watching the video, he provided me with suggestions how to adjust my posture on the bike which made a huge difference. As a cyclist, he was able to provide specific feedback on how to ride comfortably and safely without putting stress on my back. What I love about Dr. Joel, he provides solutions to ease discomfort as opposed to a quick fix that doesn’t last long. I’m grateful I went to see him. Also, he has probably the cleanest best smelling physical therapy office I’ve ever been in! Thanks Dr. Joel!

I had been seeking treatment for my knee problems for several years, but none of the treatments I had endured had produced anything more than temporary relief. On the recommendation of a personal trainer, I went to Mission Move. After thoroughly reviewing my knee pain and treatment history and assessing my mobility and physical limitations, Joel designed a treatment that relieved my knee pain and helped me regain strength and mobility. Now I can squat down and get that pot from the back of the bottom shelf! I have confidently referred friends and members of my family to Mission Move and would recommend them to anyone seeking exceptional care.

I've had knee pain that has steadily gotten worse since I was 19 (I'm 38 now). Joel was able to identify my problems and get me on track to pain free mobility in four visits. I'm starting to run again after years of thinking I never would. I'm an occupational therapist and would attest to Joel's expertise in rehabilitation... he is a cut above the rest! I really appreciate how strategically he plans your treatment so that each visit gives you a big step toward recovery; no time is wasted with Joel!

I went to Joel for physical therapy after breaking my collarbone in July, 2017. Joel took whatever time was necessary to understand the nature of my injury, my treatment from doctors, and my desire for rehabilitation before discussing options. He had a good grasp on the type of rehabilitation needed for my injury.

As we went through the various therapy sessions, Joel explained the different expertise’s he was puttin me through, the effect each would have in speeding my recovery, and what I needed to do between visits. I had a good understanding of what was expected of me.

Now that I am almost 9 months from my accident, my mobility has returned to 100% or better. Joel is very good at what he does and I would highly recommend him for physical therapy in the future.

I went in with a severe tennis elbow and rotator cuff pain, both on my left arm. The PT and exercises I’ve been given have helped immensely. The dry acupuncture treatments helped with the elbow issue as well. The team is excellent, professional, and sensitive to your pains and concerns.

I recently sought Joel’s assistance when a previous neck injury flared up. I have only positive things to say about my experience. I’ve worked with three other PTs over the years, some of whom were great. Joel, however, takes a different approach whereby he designs treatment to be quick and effective. I’m sure every injury is different, but I found it very refreshing to meet with him three times rather 20 (or 60). He’s an active listener and really zeroes in on his clients’ concerns and goals, ensuring the treatment is centered around them. My pain was resolved quickly and I received instructions on how to help prevent future pain (as well as sit and stand with better posture) to boot! Joel is easy to work with, easy to schedule with, and just a nice guy. His humor makes the entire process enjoyable. I highly recommend Joel and his PT services.

After 3+ months of neck pain that wouldn't subside, my physician suggested physical therapy for postural issues. The private practice, individualized attention you receive from Joel is great. Now pain free again with a pathway for maintaining better posture going forward. Would highly recommend Joel.

I've gone to Joel Eaby twice now and I hope I never have to go back! Because he did a great job both times. The first was immediately after shoulder therapy in 2012. Joel pushed me to continue my exercises at home and helped me achieve my post-surgery goal of playing catch with my kids again. The second time was in the Spring of 2015. I have an old knee injury that has been aggravated by increased strength training. Joel gave me some exercises to increase strength and stability and taught me a more precise method of exercising. He takes the time to show you which muscles should be engaged and the proper form to do so.
