Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls - North Hills- Raleigh

We stay in a hotel right next to here and stubble across this hidden treasure while taking a walk, lol. You would think this was just a quick fast food restaurant. When you walk in, it's simple and quaint, but when once you taste the food!! This restaurant sells gourmet food. We absolutely loved and enjoyed the lobster rolls. It's buttery and crunchy on the outside. The inside was juicy and cheesy with a hint of lemon butter garlic. The lobster was cooked perfectly, just melting in your mouth. The lobster mac and cheese was amazing as well. The flavors tasted similar just on noodles. I'm so glad we tried both. The prices are a little pricey but definitely worth it. I definitely recommend 👌.

Someone told my husband about this place so we decided to drive to Raleigh to try it out. The lobster rolls were absolutely delicious. I would give the Lobster Bisque and the New England clam chowder a four out of five. We will come back again.

Very attentive and helpful staff. Tasty lobster menu items. Would love a few more combo items or the option for a fountain drink. However the beverages they do have are nice and a bit of a treat.

This isn't the northeast, you're going to play a premium for lobster but at least it's delicious!

This was an unexpected find on an outing in the area. We had lunch at Masons and it was so delicious. We had the Connecticut Bar Harbor, Lobster Bisque, Potato Salad, Sweet Tea, and A Ginger Maine Root Soda. This meal did not disappoint. Everything was Exceptional including the drinks except the potato salad (it was good but not exceptional). The staff was so friendly I felt like they were my sister and cousin (Deona and Barbara). The customer experience was perfect and the food was scrumptious! My new fav.

The Connecticut was amazing and that buttered bread was so good. I wish prices for lobster meat weren't so high or I would come in more often. Nice staff too.

Yummy Lobster roll and bisque, but you must purchase Lobster to put in your Lobster bisque. What??!!
Need better ventilation in the restaurant. We came out smelling of smoke and burning oil.
The servers kept putting is gloved hands in his pant pockets defeating the purpose of the gloves!

Tried the BLT Lobster roll yesterday & have to say it was delicious. The bread was toasted just enough, the ingredients were fresh, and the lobster was piled into it and was not overly seasoned or cooked. Service was also quick and friendly so I will definitely return next time in town.

This was really delicious. I had the Bar Harbor styler CT roll with the clam chowder. Definitely among my favorite chowders I've had. The lady at the counter was fantastic and cheerful! I'll definitely come back.

We’ve had lobster rolls in Maryland and Washington DC and this place is just as good! It’s not always easy to find them in a city so I wasn’t sure Raleigh would have them but to our surprise they did:) Classic is the best option but they are are all really good.

Clean, efficient, and delicious! The employees were friendly and gave great recommendations! We took our rolls to go and they were seriously good even after a 15 minute drive. So fresh!

Very pricey... but it's soooo worth it great flavor n all. Staff was great. All the rolls are my favorite!!

Really excited to have this spot so close to home. I was in North Hills checking out the Farmers Market on a Saturday morning and decided to check Mason's out. So glad I did. The lobster roll was incredible and the service was great even during these crazy times. They even had a promotion going on so I got a bit of a discount. Enjoyed every bite and can't wait to go back.

Very much like a fast food restaurant as far as atmosphere is concerned. The food is excellent. I had never had a lobster roll before and had imagined it as dry and flavorless - boy was I wrong. I thought about getting the crab roll but the waitress suggested that I would enjoy the lobster roll. I had the Connecticut roll which is drenched in melted butter. It was flavorful and tender. I picked up the take out menu so I can order from home next time.

Good service, no issues. Lobster roll was excellent, very tasty on a soft buttery roll. Have been to Denver, CO and North Hills location. Quality is consistent.

I was wandering around North Hills after some business one chill bright afternoon and decided to get some food, if I see something worthy.
I was skeptical about this place, but the warm Connecticut role and the clam chowder were just perfect. I actually sat outside and enjoyed feeling a tourist for a bit :)
I also want to notice the service. The person explained me the difference between the soups and I am so thankful, otherwise I would have ordered something that I would not enjoy.

Our first time here and won’t be our last! Delicious lobster roll and great service with a smile! We are from New England and so happy we can get a delicious lobster roll in Raleigh, NC

This place just made me simply wow.

Be prepared to have one of the best lobsters of your life. The clam chowder is a must! bring $50+ if you are inviting someone else. Great, fast and friendly service! Highly recommend!!!!

Really an excellently well done Connecticut roll. I'll be back to sample more, can't wait!
