Lunch Box Cafe

I have a place in my heart for these local eateries... They are slowly disappearing across the country, so every chance I get, I go out of my way to enjoy.
The Lunch Box has been around for decades, shows its age, but I wouldn't change a thing. As to food, the menu has five weekly specials. Burgers are a big seller equal to any $15 burger but half the price. I shared the Wednesday. Special beef stew on rice, pinto beans, and cabbage with my partner as we are petite eaters... Mamma, take me home:) nothing fancy, just satisfying home cooked fare. If you get a chance, a must stop along the less traveled road.

Nice little restaurant and bar. Good sloppy hamburgers. Going back for fish dinner soon !

My GRANDFATHER, C.L. LITTLE IS THE MAN THAT ORIGINALLY BUILT THIS PLACE! HE HAD THE BEST CHEESEBURGERS IN TOWN, IT WAS CURB HOP! THE WOMAN THAT RUNS IT NOW, SHE HAS KEPT THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD THE SAME AS MY GRANDFATHER DID. I LOVE EATING THERE. IT STILL FEELS LIKE MY GRANDFATHERS PLACE! I THINK HER NAME IS SARA!

Was passing through the area on the way back from the mountains so we found this place by searching restaurants in the area. On the outside the restaurant doesn’t look like much but has a very divey feel. On the inside it’s really cool and has a very old time comforting feeling. Very clean and the burgers and hot dogs were awesome and just what you would want from a place like that. Also, the ladies working there (the cook and the waitress) were both extremely nice and welcoming which was nice when you are in a new area.

Went today with bf and had a great experience ! Servers/Staff were super nice and food was really good ! Onion rings were big and crispy ! Not greasy . Enjoyed our bacon cheeseburgers . They load it up with thick bacon and not the one or two skinny little strands ! I also loved the cozy , friendly atmosphere. We plan on coming back .

Cheap but THE BEST CATFISH PLATE IN STATESVILLE!! ONLY ON THURSDAY

It is a good place to go eat they have good food home cooked meals or hamburgers hot dogs whatever you want it's a good atmosphere

I've driven by this place countless times and decided to give it a try. It was very delicious. All were friendly. Will definitely try their friday fish fry soon.

I just discovered the greatest hamburgers in Statesville at The Lunch Box on Shelton Avenue. My brother, Sam Jordan, was a frequent customer and told me about the wonderful food at The Lunch Box. I highly recommend The Lunch Box for a great lunch. JOYCE WEBB
