We had dinner here Friday night! I highly recommend the pasta short rib! Michael was our server! He was so accommodating, attentive, helpful, personable and kind! The atmosphere was so beautiful! Our first time experience and the couple we were with celebrated their wedding anniversary! The food was wonderful and the presentation was great! We will be back!

We went for my sister's 70th birthday. The food was excellent and the service was very personal and welcoming. There were rose petals on the table and several staff said Happy Birthday to her. There were several complimentary small snacks like Waygu beef stew before the meal. The Diver Scallops were excellent. We had the Black & White Bread Puddng which was very rich and delicious. They personalized the serving dish with Happy Birthday which was a nice touch. We came away feeling it had been a special night.

Stopped off for a beverage and snack before travelling on to Cashiers. The Old Edwards Inn has a lot of charm and the Wine Garden is a beautiful locale. Would love to dine at Madison's some time if we can get a reservation.

Every year we gift a dinner experience for my mother in law and We were so excited to book our reservations back in early December. Upon arriving at Madison’s at the Old Edwards Inn, We were greeted by the friendly staff who checked our coats and welcomed us into the warm and cozy sitting room, perfectly decorated for Christmas as a toasty fire warmed us from the December chill.
Our lunch was quite elegant and enjoyable although their sweet tea was barely sweet at all by southern standards. However, the meal was very tasty and sufficient and the atmosphere a touch of fine dining. Our server was very attentive as was the guest coordinator who oversees the dining room experience.
Overall, it was a delightful experience and very satisfying. There is a distinct air of sophistication here which is always fun to experience on special occasions, however, it may not be your “cup of tea”. Especially if your cup of tea is really sweet.

What was unique about Madison's was the fact that items that would ordinarily seem very simple on a menu are taken to the next level.

For example, when I was there they had a steak wrap as a special. It was extremely flavorful and tender. My wife had chicken salad on a croissant, or nearly. This seems like the kind of thing you could get in the grocery store. However, it was clearly made using a unique recipe and it couldn't have been higher quality.

My advice would be, if items on the menu seem commonplace, do not take them at face value.

A very sophisticated and upscale place. Breakfast was really nice and the service was top notch. Waiter did a fantastic job at helping me get a custom order for my dietary needs. Omelette with pork sausage and cheese, bacon was very crispy and unsweetened house yogurt was nice to top it off. I will add that Jade our waiter was very attentive and made the experience even more one to come back for.

We ate here on a Saturday in June. Couldn’t make a reservation so we put our name in and they would call/text us. That isn’t an issue as there are so many great shops in this town. Got a call our table was ready.

Seated and enjoyed our little spot to wait for some food. We both enjoyed our appetizers and our lunch. Service was great and we both would have the same exact thing again.

Love this town even though it’s very busy in the summer.

First class restaurant! Courteous and accommodative service. Very clean and rich surroundings. We sat in a booth, which was the most comfortable restaurant booth we had ever experienced. Outstanding food. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to celebrate life events or to be treated like someone special.

5 star+ every time all around. The best Fine Dine in the Highlands. This dish was Calves Liver with onions and Potatoes. The drink was a Moxy strawberry cocktail. The service was exceptional. I returned twice to try desert. I ordered the banana creme pudding made with swirling carmel on my second visit. I sooo...Loved 😢 the Doubley Golden 💯 vanilla wafer and the violet 💜 that deserved its place at the top. Purple hearted places are like rare mountain wildflowers that bloom in the Highest of Elevations after a very long winter.

We had lunch and breakfast twice at Madison’s. This was our favorite dining experience in Highlands. The breakfast, even just the simple eggs and bacon was out of this world. My wife and I have never had bernton’s bacon and it was cooked so well. The service was exceptional. My favorite unexpected pleasure was the biscuits. Simple and delicious. The chicken biscuits for breakfast were phenomenal- they come with a bacon jam and again the biscuits are made so well. We loved Madison’s!

After a weekend of hiking in Highlands, Sunday lunch at Madison's was an absolute delight! The service was top-notch and very professional, yet hospitable. I enjoyed the service of Izabella (from Poland) and the bread service by a young man from Jamaica.

I enjoyed a cup of the chicken and cabbage soup (unexpectedly delicious!), grilled chicken salad with watermelon radishes, cucumbers, yellow squash, sprouts and an edible flower. They were also able to prepare a plain chicken breast to go for my pup, which was greatly appreciated.

Had I not been traveling with my dog, I would have definitely enjoyed staying at Old Edwards Inn (they don't allow dogs). Perhaps on a future visit, I will be able to enjoy a stay. In the meantime, I highly recommend a meal at Madison's, you will not be disappointed!

I happened to eat here alone while traveling through. Sometimes at higher-end places like this, when this happens, you're made to feel as though you're an inconvenience or a bit of a loser because you're not there with a date. That wasn't the case here. Server/bartender was cordial and engaging (if not constantly otherwise occupied). Foodwise I had Foie Gras and the Trout... both, not particularly easy things to make (easy to screw up, anyway). They both came out perfectly, with a decent local wine to pair with both. Highlands is known to be on the pricier side, especially for western North Carolina, so keeping that in mind, the cost was in-line with other venues in the immediate area.
And, yes, it would have been a hit had I brought a date to this place and I were aiming to impress. Today, however, I just impressed myself.

Magical evening at Madison’s Restaurant. The service was fabulous and dinner amazing. Our waiter William was spectacular and chemist Jason Duke made amazing recommendations and drinks. The cocktails and wine were paired perfectly with the duck entree and bacon wrapped filet special. Cheers and enjoy!

Madison’s has an incredible food, you really can’t go wrong. Our table of 4 did the price fixed option so we could try all the different parts of the menu in preparation for our meeting with the chef to plan our wedding menu. Everything we had was fantastic. My favorites were the scallops, the sea bass and the for dessert bread pudding (trust me it was insane, would have never ordered it normally). They also have a very extensive wine list, and a very knowledgable staff. Can’t wait to come back!

We went in here today... we all absolutely loved it. When we entered in the restaurant, they checked in our coats. That was so nice of them. That cozy toasty fire... it was such warm cozy sophisticated ambience up there. The food was delicious and the Tres Leche was too good.
Service was great. We all can't wait to return back. Thank you Madison's for having us for lunch. You all have a great rest of the year❄🕯
Will see you guys again❄🕯
