Nice place for seniors to gather

On September 12,2023, a group of excited Senior Citizens from Lake View, S.C. arrived at the Dillon Council of Aging. Upon entering, we were met by the Director, Jeannette F. She rushed up to me shouting, "You need to go get back on that bus! You didn't notify us in time. I don't have lunch for you all!" I told her, I could feed my people. I was trying to tell her i spoke with the program manager previously and was welcomed to participate. She continued saying, "You need to get back on the bus!" The 9-10 people with me were entering, but stopped because of her loud voice and visible disdain. I told them to come on in because everything was fine. Again, I told her I could feed my people. Then, I asked if we could sit down while I called the bus to return for us. After my people sat, I went back to speak with Jeannette and she spoke of budget cuts and what they could and couldn't do. She told me the activitiy was estimated at 30 minutes. A lady came to get us for "chair aerobics", but after a few minutes our ride picked us up. As tax payers, Senior Citizens of Dillon County (Lake View) deserve better treatment.
