My family's company owns 4 manufactured housing dealerships and we sell 100s of homes per year. We have been in business since 2000 and are the largest mobile home retailer in the Carolinas by far with every bank and just about every major brand. I have never dealt with an insurance agency that is as incompetent as the Farm Bureau of Dillon. It took forever to receive a binder which holds up our company and our client. I had to drive to the office myself to actually get the binder which was done on the spot upon my arrival. Additionally, the agent mistakenly took pictures almost immediately after the home had been delivered to the client's property and subsequently sent her an email that she would be losing coverage if she did not get the home underpinned immediately. If you know anything about manufactured home setup...skirting is one of the last things that you do and this can often be up to 4-6 weeks after delivery depending upon the specific job. The standard process of every other insurer that I have ever worked with is that they assess the client's property once the job is complete...not right after delivery...and communicating to a mutual client via email that they may lose their insurance coverage is bad business. I never write google reviews because everyone can make a mistake...I make my fair share...but this has really been an unnecessary experience thus far and last ended with the agent hanging up on me. I hope this review helps to get the issue addressed.
