Went here for our first time taking his daughter & boyfriend from out of town. We were looking for somewhere unique with good food that none of us had visited. This place definitely made us all happy! I was super surprised to see it not as packed on a Friday night! We enjoyed boneless wings (they were out of bone in), pretzel, BCG (onion rings), blue falcon sandwich, & B-one bomber burger. The fries had a seasoning on them that was really good. Onion rings were really good! Try the beer cheese for sure, the queso was great too! Food was great, the server was amazing & very knowledgeable of the menu & all the beers. He patiently answered all the questions, got our orders correct w/o writing them down, and was quick to check back on us. Loved the atmosphere with the live music, enjoyed a few games of pool, and enjoyed knowing we were supporting a local veteran! Will be back again!

.I only discovered Dog Tags because of a Groupon. We'd never been and decided to give it a try. Outside of the Groupon, one of the main reasons we decided on this place was the fact that it is military owned and the menu is centered around military lingo. Just at a glance, I was already intrigued.

The beer selection is quite extensive! It'd take quite a few visits to try them all. I would love to see some wine selections in the future, but not everyone pairs wine with burgers 🤣

Our server was extremely friendly and relatable. She was patient with us when we kept asking questions, changing our minds mid-sentence and didn't have a clue what we were doing. She was attentive to refills and just as attentive to my 2 year old grandson who wants to talk to everyone and ask what they're doing, where they're going and why!

The fried pickles are different from any restaurant I've ever had them at. I actually liked them here. I don't know if it's because they aren't the big spears or if the flavor is different, but I really liked them! They have fresh pork rinds; the ones with the spice on them were my favorite. Wish they had some sea salt and vinegar to put on them; but, probably better that they didn't. All the weight I lost last year may have come back.

The food was really good. I ordered the hot dogs (I can't remember the menu name), with the beer cheese and added chili. It said it was a foot-long, but I was so relieved that it came out on 2 buns! That thing is plump and full and with the chili and cheese, there was no way I could finish them both. The fries are so unique. It's like curly fries meets steak fries; seasoned and twisted and thick. Really good. I couldn't eat all of those, either. I have an air fryer, so reheating these gave me a second (complete) meal, just as good as the first time around (3 minutes at 300°).

So, THEN, we discovered the dessert. Caramel Apple and COTTON CANDY cheesecakes. The caramel apple had a balance of sweet and tart and was really good. I probably would have like it more had they not had Cotton Candy. Cheesecake that tastes EXACTLY like Cotton Candy? WTH? How is that even possible? I don't even really like cheesecake and I need to go back to Tyler and get a whole one. I don't even care about the weight I'm trying to keep off. I'll take ALL OF THE CHEESECAKES (Cotton Candy, please).

Apparently, they have live music on Fridays and Saturdays. I'd definitely go out there to listen, have a burger and a beer! If you haven't been, yet. Go!

Amazing!! I already posted on a local page to brag about this place, and I'll brag here too! We highly enjoyed our food, and experience. It was nice to know that we were also helping support a Veteran, since he owns the place. It's the least we can do for a man who has done so much more.

Had a great time. Waitress was cool and helpful. Plenty of beers to choose from. They have live music on weekends I think. Several pool tables, which were heavily used (kind of popular I guess)

I base this review on good service, good beer, and very nice Diamond pool tables. It was also a very friendly environment as I met and visited with several patrons. The Covered patio was great for chit chat and very convenient smoking area. My experience was limited but I don't think it will be my go to for food. This almost kicked it down to 3 or 4 star but the positives were overwhelming. Apparently Veteran owned as name implies and there were at least several there including myself. I look forward to the tables again

Awesome food, huge portions (get the sampler platter!) And an incredible beer menu (try the Rootstock hard cider!). Veteran-owned, military-themed and all the staff is incredibly friendly and competent. We will definitely be back!

Great brewery and restaurant. They are famous for their burgers. I had the B-1 and it was amazing. Their beer selection is top notch featuring the best of Texas Independent microbrews. They have three billiards tables and trivia on Thursdays. There are prizes for the top three winners. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I had tried this place previously, but had only ordered beers. This was a mistake that I remedied later. I ordered the Full Battle Rattle burger and it was delicious. The jalapeno bun really ties the whole burger together. The fries are a unique cut and taste incredible. They sprinkle on what seems like a BBQ dry spice and it is great. The atmosphere is fun, military themed, hence the name. The love music was really good that night. The service is great as well. Overall I definitely recommend this place.

Great place for a casual meal. We were there on a Thursday and enjoyed the live trivia. Great beer and cider selection and all of our food was fantastic. There's outside seating as well and they were able to bring us a high chair for our 1-year-old. The service was very attentive.

Awesome staff and awesome beer choices. Bring quarters for the pool tables ($1 per play) and know that the bar food is definitely bar food! Nachos are thick-cut fries and are delicious! Get them with chili and jalapeno ranch for that extra kick. Also, they do wear masks, so ignore the reviews that say they don't.

First and foremost this is veteran owned establishment and that earns it a five star rating without question. Having said that the food is good and the beer selection is amazing. Service has always been very good and it is definitely a place to check out if you enjoy craft beer and bar and grill style food.

Wish I could give them more stars! A veteran owned and military themed bar. Huge beer selection on tap and cans/bottle. Had one of their many burgers and a few beers. Great place to go to. Bartenders were great and super knowledgeable about all the beers too.

Such a kind waiter. I forgot his name but he's originally from Ireland and he has such an enthusiastic personality!!!! I got the beyond burger with fries and a cider. Everything, even the drink was delicious!!! My friend also got a burger and we shared the pretzel appetizer! She really liked it! We will definitely be coming back!

This place has a level of awesome of high, no doubt.
What I found admirable was the fact that there is a distinct old and young crowd there that vibe so well. There is a commonality here for sure. I love it.
My wife and I have been here twice, each time was memorable.

Not sure of the schedule, but they had live music Friday, not Thursday.

Give it a go.

The food was amazing and they had 127 different beers to choose from. No liquor, only beer and wine. They also had a live band and pool tables. Awesome place to go. The staff was really knowledgeable on the craft beers as well. Will definitely be back again.

We both ordered 2 different salads. Husband had the chop hawk, and I had the crispy hawk. We both enjoyed our meals.Staff is very helpful in answering any question you may have about the menu. We will definitely be going back.

Found my new spot for great food, great service, and great drinks. Took some family here the other day for lunch. We are new to Tyler so we’re trying to find the best of the best. This restaurant caters to all armed forces as well. I’ve never felt more comfortable in a restaurant in my life.
