Stanley's Famous Pit Barbecue

We've been back several times since my first review. Food is always amazing and service is fast and friendly. Plenty of parking even when it's very busy. Usually I have the pulled pork, but I tried the chicken tacos yesterday. Very spicy but amazing! I always order a side of potato salad because it's delicious. My boyfriend always gets brisket. He's super picky about brisket and orders it every time here, so that says something. I am lactose intolerant and they're always accommodating with that restriction. We buy their BBQ sauce for home too.

Wow, wow, wow! It's the way to rate this place. This pit is probably as famous as they say.
Their food is really tender and tasty, every piece of flesh leave the bone atached to it, the meat is so tender, well cooked and flavored you are going to love it.
I asked for a lemonade and tea, also the new one shrimp taco which is one of the best tacos ever!
The place is like a labyrinth, so many directions for a spanish speaker jjj however full of color, godd mucis, nice people and good food you simply are going to enjoy everything. The parking is small and with the street trafic is not easy get out!
The staff awesome, they are respectful, atentive. This facility is super clean, no flies on it, normally places like this are full of flies 🤭. The have a patio and a playground for Kids, also a tarima (I think they have shows)
Clean restrooms and chairs by all over, so elders can be sitting whe they waiting for their food.
Our food did not come with the salad, however you may get different side options. And if you love souvenirs, they offer t-shirts.
Food in here is affordable and they ready to deal with big parties, all tables are big! Just a place to come back.

Fantastic East Texas BBQ joint. Did a business lunch with our work team here for 6 of us. Maddie in the front was amazing. She was helpful with the big order, gave great recommendations and had the best attitude. She was 5 Stars all by herself. I had the three meat plate, ribs brisket and turkey with the potato salad. 5 stars, highly recommend this place. A stage for live music. Highly recommend Stanley’s.

You must try the Super Deluxe as it is and I guarantee you that you will love it. I was in Tyler Texas for 10 days and once I had this BBQ, I came here everyday.

2 of those days they had sold out on the Ribs. I came past 5pm, which is perfectly understandable since it’s so delicious !!

I asked everyone in town for best place for BBQ, I’ve had them all! This is the place ! If you want ribs , don’t risk it, call ahead and order them lol.

Took a trip out to Tyler specifically to have this for lunch. We were not disappointed. Even though we had to stand in line for 20 minutes in the 105 degree heat our meal was EXCELLENT! I had the ex-wife pulled pork and sliced brisket sandwich. I took brisket and ribs to go. The sandwich was very good and juicy not overly wet. The ribs were also amazing 4 hours later. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the gray bearded guy walking around chatting up the customers. Throughly enjoyed this lunch. GREAT JOB Team Stanley!

I recently had the pleasure of trying Stanley BBQ, and I must say that the food was truly awesome! The flavors were great, and the overall quality of the food was very good and fresh.

From the moment I arrived, the aroma of the barbecue was tantalizing, and I couldn't wait to try everything on the menu. The meats were cooked to perfection and had an excellent smoky flavor that was both savory and satisfying.

This joint frequents Texas Monthly best barbecue in the state. On every visit, anything ordered was delicious. There is often live music on the weekends, and a bar area that opens to the restaurant. You know it's good when there is a line wrapping around the building waiting to order.

Decided to come here on a whim for some good bbq and surely did not disappoint! The line cook Ezra definitely carried our vibe when we walked in. His energy is magnetic. Evan at the front counter also helped us pick the best option for us to try everything!!! The atmosphere is lovely and such a nice vibe. If you're in the area definitely come by!!!!

This was my fiance and I first time going to Stanley's. He had attended a work meeting that had it catered but I had never tasted their BBQ. So it was a new experience for the both of us, and we absolutely loved it! The bartenders were awesome, we were a little confused on how to order our food because there were no set lines and people kept cutting in front of us downstairs since we didn't know what we were doing, but it wasn't anything terribly bad against the business themselves. We might have missed a sign that explained how to order but we enjoy wandering around and seeing where we could sit!
I got the tacos and he got the ex wife. Honestly, we could have also added some ribs and been even more happy but we loved what we had!

I really enjoyed Stanley’s Famous Pit BBQ!! Their ‘cue was really outstanding and the atmosphere of their venue was really cool. It looks like quite a few bands play live here. My boyfriend and I stopped by to check it out since we’re doing the TX Monthly Top 50 BBQ passport competition and it stood out to us as a truly unique experience. We had their lean/moist brisket and hot sausage. The sausage had an innovative kick to it. Our choice sides were the red skinned potato salad and the cowboy beans, which I highly recommend. We are from San Antonio, but would definitely make the drive to Tyler again to eat here and watch some local bands play 😎🤟🏼

The food at Stanley's is very good. We have been twice in the last year and we will be back! And the really, really amazing thing is the service. Our second visit included 8 people, one in a wheelchair. When we arrived we asked an employee who was outside delivering food where the handicap entrance was and if there might be a table for 8 (this was a Friday night). She immediately showed us where to park for the handicap entrance then went inside and found a table for us. Then, once the food came, several employees picked up the plates of food on our table and carried them around for everyone to serve themselves, without being asked. Truly remarkable, even unheard of service for a restaurant where you order at the counter. This was all done with sincere enthusiasm and kindness. The employees wear t shirts that say: Be Kind; Have Fun. And it's not just a slogan on a t shirt! Thank you to the staff!

Best bbq in east Texas by far. The long lines only attest to their known deliciousness. I live in Austin and go to Georgia frequently. They are always a stop along my way. I am happy to lose an hour of travel time just to get some fantastic BBQ.

Oh man! Famous for a reason. I had the regular size pulled pork with a side of slaw. My wife enjoyed a regular chopped brisket and a side of potatoe salad.
All was awesome. Seating is covered but outside. So understand the temperature before you go. This day was awesome! You've got to check this place out!!

Wonderful put barbecue! Excellent service and really fast.

Very nice experience. Staff is very friendly and professional. Despite being busy, they get the food out quickly. They offer a lot and I would highly recommend for couples or family or just yourself. Kid friendly too by the way.

Ordered take-out, Excellent food! The vinegar based bbq sauce is delicious with all of the meat. Very friendly and professional staff. The brother in law with sour dough bread is huge and tasty.

Got lunch on a Monday and it only took about 5-10 min to get through the line. 3 meat sampler is $33 but does not come with any sides. The sliced brisket is incredibly tender (you can flake it with a plastic fork) and has amazing smoky flavor. The ribs were great, but not much meat on them, although these were pretty tender as well. The sausage was my least favorite flavor-wise but others in my party loved it.
I'm not from the south, so maybe this is a thing with bbq, but I did not see the appeal or the point with throwing 3 slices of white bread on there. The sauce is perfectly balanced and I feel like I could drink that stuff.
The environment is really nice and open, clean and I could see it being a great spot on the weekend evenings with live music.

I moved to tyler about 5 weeks ago and got the chance to come and eat here and LET ME SAY those cluckin chicken tacos are SO good I have got them everytime I have come great portions great prices even better service they are always super polite and they keep it clean and stocked! Go check them out!
