85C Bakery Cafe - Sugarland

My favorite "go-to" place for pastries and "pick-me-up" drinks! Love that they have rewards point system membership that you can use to redeem freebies! Love the various selections of fresh breads, cookies, and cakes! They both have sweet and savory selections. Been a long-time customer way before they opened the Sugarland branch. We used to go to the Bellair branch, which is far. I like the place a lot, though at times, it is kind of annoying when I came by early (right after opening), some of my favorites are not yet available. And when I came by late, some were already gone. I guess that's the price of serving freshly baked bread.

Out of all the 85C Bakery Cafes I've been to, this is my favorite. Some other places will run out of pastries and struggle to put new ones out. This location always has something ready to go any time of day! The service is quick, the food is fresh, and the options are always great! There drinks are really sweet, but I have a sweet tooth so it hits the spot! The Sea Salt Caramel Coffee with boba would be my drink recommendation, Their ham and cheese bread, mango custard bun, and milk pudding bun are some of my personal favorite pastries.
It is primarily a take out place. There are two tables in the building and a few benches outside.

This is a great bakery to get delicious breads. They have a vast selection of flavored breads, small loaves of bread, whole cakes, and slices of cakes. They have coffee, and boba tea too! It’s everything you need in a store for breakfast or just for snacks.

However there is limited seating space so not suitable for big groups to chill and chit chat.

Use their app for deals, collect points, and to know the latest products they have in store.

I was looking for a coffee flavored cake for my husband's birthday and the worker recommended this cake and it was the best flavored coffee cake I've ever tasted!

My favorite bakery. I recently found japanese souffle cheesecake at this 85c not sure if this is limited time or what but I am glad I found it. Their Mango mousse cake is my go to and other bakery goods are always fresh and delicious.

My wife and I were first introduced to 85C bakery when we lived in Shanghai, China.
We were happy to see that there is one of those bakeries here too because we love their baked goods and my wife is a bit addicted to their Egg Tarts.
I highly recommend this place and in my opinion, they have something for everyone.

Great bakery with so much variety! The pastries are typically freshly baked and have a lot of variety. They are sweet, soft and flavorful. There are also savory options. You simply grab a tray, walk around the shelves, and add whatever you like. You can also look at what is available at the counter. If you want more than pastries, there are also cakes, smoothies, coffee, Boba tea, and more.

Best to come early so you have more options, as supply does run out.

Last week, I pre-ordered the 8-inch mango creme brulee cake to celebrate my mom's birthday. I had a good experience with talking to the staff over the phone. The price was reasonable and I was required to pay in advance, but the staff member explained that they would refund the money if I needed to cancel the order for whatever reason.

I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Unfortunately they are not doing dine-in due to the pandemic. However, I did have coffee and pastries here with a couple friends over a year ago and had a good experience.

My mother and my family enjoyed the cake, and I would recommend checking out this bakery! I love the location as well. I think next time we will try out one of their chocolate cakes.

Yum! The egg tarts are worth the hype I highly recommend!! The breads are tasty, big, fluffy, and not too sweet at all.

Love this location. You can't go wrong with any of the drinks and pastries. I have ordered their strawberry green tea, coffee, and the sea salt medley teas in the past. For the pastries, I usually get the cheese bread, egg tarts, brioche with cream cheese, matcha choco bun, and the elote bun. The drinks and food here are made fresh daily. I love their their elote bun, egg tarts and anything they have here with cream cheese. Even after putting the pastries in the fridge for a couple of days after heating them up the textures and flavors stayed the same. High recommend this location because the service is so quick and its not as packed as the other ones in the area.

First time visiting. The store is very clean, everything is in it place. They have a variety of items from slices of cakes, full cakes, tarts, breads, and even ready to eat sandwiches if you're on the go. My husband and I decided to try a few different items all were very good. we will be returning to the bakery very soon. We purchased the deluxe strawberry cake, the strawberry tart, and the cheesecake.

So many delicious bread options!! I got a mix of savory and sweet breads. I was disappointed by the savory ones I got but the sweet ones were AMAZING. As a bonus, they also sell boba, so that makes this place pretty much the only place in Sugarland that is open and selling boba at 8am. I recommend the Zebra Oolong milk tea.

Still great! Location is in a strip of other asian cuisine and even some shopping areas, and really close to UoH and WCJC location, even First Colony Mall. Staff are always friendly and the food is always great! Especially the coffees

Super cute bakery with freshly baked savory and sweet patisseries. I was on the hunt for some good bakery and finally found one. They have great verity if amazing cakes too. A must go !
This branch has a beautiful sit down cafe with lot of sunshine coming in. You ca also avail offers if you download thier app. I was first time order and on the app I was offered a free drink .

Such an amazing cake which is not too sweet like how cakes usually are and lets you have more than one serving!! 10/10 recommend!!

I cant say enough! My boyfriend and I come here A LOT! The pastries are made to perfection, from the cream to the moisture of the bread/ cake. The cream is rich and flavorful, sweet but not TOO sweet. I recommend you get what you'll eat that day because it wont be as great the next day losing freshness and that soft texture you get when biting into something soft and moist. I dont really recommend the coffee or the hot chocolate. I've had the classic hot chocolate 3 times and those 3 times I felt like I was drinking watery chocolate. The cakes are great, but not the next day, so plan on eating the entire cake the same day you get it. The mango slushy, amazing! It's my favorite drink to get there. The egg tarts, perfect, although they taste a lot like custard pie, unless that's what they are too? But it's my favorite, with the milk buns and taro something, I forget the name. I highly recommend this place. Try it at least once

Whether you’re into sweets or salty goodness, 85C has it all! The egg tarts here are absolutely amazing, especially if you’re a fan of creme brûlée, and there’s even boba drinks here! I really love their cakes too. I can’t stop coming here when I’m in the area!
