Dallas County Clerk's Office

Place is so nice as a native Dallas county residents to see the court office of my hometown bring me pride and joy. - staff was polite well dressed and the wait time was less than 15 -20 min. As a user experience designer the layout and overall experience also well done. 🙂

My fiancé and I arrived for our appointment 10 minutes early. Parking was easy as well as finding the Vital records department. Not only is the building beautiful but so was Deputy Charlene Jackson! She was so sweet and genuinely happy to have our appointment. She made sure we understood what we were doing and did a wonderful job at making sure all the information was correct. Ms. Jackson was truly memorable and made our appointment so fun and special. She took pictures, congratulated us with so much love and excitement and even told us where to stop to get the perfect backdrop for a selfie to remember that moment. Deputy Jackson should be the standard and we are so grateful that she was apart of that memory! We love her and will never forget her!

Every time I visit here I’m in and out in less than a hour. The clerks, staff and security are all very professional and the numbering system is the best in the business. Coming from Florida and Illinois, Dallas by far had all the other DMV’s and Records Office beat. Special thanks to an agent named Edgar who helped me out tremendously. Thank you sir.

My fiancée and I got our marriage license here, we had the pleasure of being assisted by Mr. Thomas Ramirez. He was such a nice guy and made getting our license a wonderful experience, he even took some awesome photos of us once the process was complete.

Fabulous and fast. Whole process took 45 minutes for us. It was not too crowded and the number system moved swiftly. Our clerk was knowledgeable and apt.

First walk in and ask info where to get birth certificate she direct me to go down escalator. Next, met an officer ask politely why am I’m here. I told him I need a long birth certificate and he told grab an clipboard with the form and fill it out and then give it to him. When I gave to him he gave me a number. Now all I had to wait . Brenda Rice was the clerk. She was very helpful asssiting me. Overall I’m about 30 min. I got what I need.

I got a birth certificate in less than 15 minutes!!!! They are friendly, well organized, well informed, and pleasant. Whoever runs this department is doing a stellar job!

Dallas county clerks office very clean and secure area. Lots of police presence. Clean bathrooms and nice sitting area.

We obtained a marriage license recently and were very pleased that the process was smooth and staff was friendly and helpful. We were assisted by Charlene Jackson who was very kind and made the experience memorable and meaningful. She took pictures of the occasion which we really appreciated. Ms Jackson’s customer service goes above and beyond the norm!

Ms. Charlene Jackson is a true ANGEL sent from heaven. She made our marriage license appointment so special. She pours into each and every couple and even takes the time out of her day to take pictures of you with your license. She exudes so much love, happiness, and light. My fiancé and I will never forget our special time with Ms. Jackson! We love her!

Charlene in the Vital Records department was awesome! She recognized our application for a marriage license for the special moment that it is. Not only did she give great tips, she offered to take photos of us with our license - she got great shots that we can remember this milestone. <3 And, the building looks great! Didn't know the county remodeled until we arrived. Must be a happier place for the employees to work.

Starting from entry to the Vitals section, the staff members are very friendly, informative & helpful...it appears to be a very supportive work environment. It was a very pleasant experience for us...especially since my fiancé & I just moved to Dallas & are clueless about the lay of the land. My stress level was high, but after talking to the people at Vitals we were able to relax completely.

Ms. Jackson made getting our marriage license so special! She took her time to explain everything and took our pictures! She was the sweetest and again made our day very special thank you!

Ms. Jackson in the marriage license office is wonderful. She is extremely friendly and kind, plus she went out of her way to take photos of my fiancé and I with our license!

Extremely efficient. Security assists with check in to ensure you’re in the correct wait line. Checked in at 11:30, was out by 11:50!

We had a great experience getting our marriage license! Everyone there was super helpful making sure we got to where we needed. Deputy Jackson made our time so special and made us laugh so much. We will always remember her, she is truly special.

I really wish I remembered the woman’s name at the county clerks office who helped me. I did not read where you needed an appointment. But she was so helpful in finding and explaining other options to fulfill our needs! Thank you!

I visited the clerk's office today because due to the change in driver's license laws (Federal Real ID) I had to now prove how my name changed from my name on my birth certificate to my married name, so I needed a copy of my marriage certificate from 26 years ago.(why didn't I have it? Ceremonial burning on divorce day 23 years ago lol) I can't say enough about this office! It was so efficient and well managed! There was only a few people working yet I had almost no wait. I filled out the very short form, walked right up to the line, was called up to the counter and I handed them my information and my payment and about 10 minutes later I had the marriage certificate certified stamped in my hand!I have never seen a government office run so wonderfully and efficiently! Kudos to the people that work there absolutely really really impressed. After 6 hours at the driver's license office and then the drive to downtown, I was beat and the way they handled that office was just so refreshing! I was really really really impressed! Oh, if every government office could model themselves after this one!!! And yeah parking is a hassle but that's downtown not the clerk's office. Everywhere you go in downtown it's that way. It just is what it is. Bravo to the people running the clerks office!
