Thai Ruby Restaurant

After researching ~100 restaurants for a valentine’s date night, decided on Thai Ruby:

-Authentic ambience/decor transports you instantly to exotic Thailand
-Food excellent taste and plating. Portions large (plates themselves larger than standard size).
-Owner + waiter visited several times each. Very helpful. My water glass was filled ~8 times.
-We loved the Tom Ka soup and the desserts especially.
-Price excellent (budget friendly). We ordered everything in the pictures, which came out to total ~50 (tax included) + tip. Value cannot be beat.

-Would highly recommend

Quaint Thai restaurant with sensational cuisine. Charming environment for date night or to dine with friends.

I have been going to Thai Ruby for at least 5 years now and they never disappoint! The food is always fresh and favorable and they've had some of the same servers and management for years. It feels like a true family dining experience and I wouldn't change a thing! They should open up another location though that's the only thing I would say because the food and service is just that good!

This was a surprisingly wonderful meal. Been very disappointed in local Thai restaurants lately but this one was fantastic. The food was cooked perfectly, atmosphere fantastic, service extraordinary. I asked the waiter for his favorite dish and it was the salmon and shrimp fried rice. Did not disappoint. Will definitely be returning.

The best Thai food in this region. The Tom yum soup is the best. I love the spicy Thai Basil rice, the fried tofu was crispy and spicy. The ambience is beautiful and calm. The waiter is very sweet and smiling all the time. We had pleasant time with good good.

Very good food with some unusual twists for Thai. We eat a good bit of Thai food, so came in here after an appointment to get a late lunch/early dinner since we hadn't eaten. We got the Ruby Wrap for appetizer - very good, but not what we expected...more noodles than vegetables. We also got a cup of Tom Ka soup - also very good, lighter than many but just as flavorful. I got the roast duck with red curry sauce and veggies (upper dish in picture) and my wife the Rad Nar with chicken (lower dish). These were excellent, and very filling. Will definitely go there again next time we get over that way.

This is literally the best Thai restaurant I have ever been to in my life. I have gone to dozens of Thai places in Texas and Washington DC. I will say, you’ve never had food like this. It’s divine. I had the Pad Kee Mow, level medium. It was brilliant. Get the crab Rangoons… I GUARANTEE you have not had real ones before. I never did. I didn’t realize i had never had real crab Rangoon’s until today.
This place is like falling in love.

Hidden gem in plain sight! I can't believe it took me ten years of living in Flower Mound to discover this place. The food, service, and presentation were phenomenal. The employees are all so kind and welcoming. We will definitely be making lots of regular visits here!

Nice restaurant with a good ambiance and great interior design!

The food was barely spicy, even when we decided to order a ‘hot’ level spice for the basil fried rice. You may want to opt for their ‘thai level hot’ for a good deal of spice in your food.

The fried tofu starter was decent, sweet & sour tofu with jasmine rice (medium) was kinda okay!

Feedback on experience: the table attender was way too
Invested in checking on us multiple times every few minutes - love the service, but it took away from our time to indulge in a good conversation during our dinner :)

I love Thai food 😋. I don't regret it. It's a good place. I strongly recommend dating. The staff is so kind. I will back🥰

This place is awesome. Service is good and the food is excellent. BYOB which makes it even better. We have had 6 of us dine there and the total bill was around $120. This is our go to Thai place.

We tried this place recently and had a good experience. Food and flavor was great. Lots of vegetarian options with customizable spice levels. Ambience is great for groups. Will definitely go again.

You would not expect this quality in a strip mall restaurant, quiet, serene and well ambianced. The food was obviously from fresh ingredients, prepared with care and well presented. Traditional Thai with a flair, the flavors were balanced with sauces not overpowering and nuances were enhanced, not drowned.
This is a gem.

Absolutely loved it — Pad Thai and Pad Ke-Mao are both amazing and flavorful. Definitely will return!

Love Thai Ruby, been going here since like 2009 and it's always been delicious. I have to get a cup of tom ka every time I go, it's too good to pass up. I usually get a curry too. All the food seems very fresh and the service has always been excellent. The atmosphere of the place is also very nice and fun. It's perfect for a date or a quick lunch. Yum.

This place was a good choice for lunch. The flavors were all there and the meat nice and tender , all fine spices were really good and not over powering.

Love this place to thai food... need it hot, ask for extra spicy.. if you don't sweat, they gave you the regular hot...

Highly recommend this place. Have eaten here 3 times and each time was fantastic. Spicy and delicious. If you ask for hot, you will get hot. Curries are amazing. Tom Ka is the best. I prefer Spicy and they don't disappoint.
