I went to the county today to apply for tax returns for the three pieces of land I purchased. Because I had some questions, I made an appointment for a consultation with Anna. And my English is not good, so I hired a translator. I prepared a lot of questions for today's meeting and I'm nervous because I think the questions are too complex and too many and I'm worried the staff will be impatient. When it was time for the appointment, Anna greeted us at the window. She has a huge smile and is such a kind and welcoming lady! We consulted for about an hour, and she patiently and meticulously answered all my questions and gave detailed guidance. I'm so grateful. My translator also thought the helpful staff like Anna was great. I have a good impression of the Fort Bend County Taxation Bureau. Thank you to all the staff.

I had the opportunity to see Ms.Andrea Pena on counter number 3 in regards with my Homestead application. She was very pleasant and patiently explained me what Form I need to fill. She was very kind and professional throughout her interaction with me and even pointed a mistake that I made in my Form. She explained everything very well and in a timely manner. I would also like to commend Ms.Alana on the last counter, as I was filling my Form on the desk around the corner, I could hear how well she was explaining a senior citizen on Homestead exemption program. The office was very clean and has plenty of parking outside.

I just talked to a staff member of the Fort Bend County Central Appraisal District (FBCCAD.) I wish I had had the foresight of copying down her name after I talked to her . She was courteous, charming and cheerful. She answered my questions with outmost professionalism. That has always been my experience when I talk to any member of the staff of the FBCCAD. I am a retired CPA I can tell you that persons responsible for calculating property values and the taxes thereof are often treated rudely by the taxpayers they serve. We Texans do not want to pay personal income taxes nevertheless we still demand excellent services from our State, Counties and City governments. To provide the services that residents demand, our State and Local governments must levy Sales and Property taxes. These are the most unfair type of taxes because they are levied based on taxpayer's consumption and on the value of their assets that they may be holding to convert to cash to fund their retirement. Income taxes are far fairer because they are levied based on taxpayers' income, therefore based on their ability to pay.

I had a great experience this morning at the FBCAD office. I had almost no wait time, and Alana was extremely helpful with the questions I had. She was very friendly and knowledgeable, and I got the answers I needed, filed the necessary information, and was on my way very quickly. Wonderful customer service!

This county office is very well run and managed. The check-in staff that I interacted with after reaching the office was surprisingly extremely professional, pleasant, and courteous. Initially I met with the security officer who then guided me to the lady at the window. After you wait your turn, another lady calls you in when its finally your turn. All these 3 staff members scored very high for how they treat the people visiting the office.

After briefly checking out the feedback on social media, I was quite apprehensive about how many interaction was going to go down but it was contrary to everything what I had been told or what I had read online.

The appraisal review board meeting was very well run. The key thing is that you need to bring at least 4 copies of documented evidence supporting your argument(s). Out of these 4 copies - 1 copy for the Appraisal board person, 2 copies for the independent board panel members, and 1 copy for yourself to refer to when you are making your case.

After panel begins the proceedings, both parties - you as well as the appraisal party - get to make your case. The panel then deliberates among themselves and gives their ruling.

Remember - the key is documents/pictures/invoice etc. anything that supports your case and making advised number of copies so it shows you have done your homework.

This was my first time to come record my Deed for the tax purposes for my new build house the process went very fast and smoothly Employee named Linda Garrett helped me she was very kind and helpful it was a very great experience

The people work in this office are very polite, diligent, and helpful. They answered my questions in a polite manner, no rush. This office is less crowded and clean from every perspective.

This district office has an amazing system set up to take care of its customers. The customer care phone support were very helpful and provided all the support requested. Then when I visited the office for a tax value protest the whole process was so well laid out. The front-desk and all the personal I interacted with were so helpful and cheerful at all times. They were more than willing to educate me of the process and how this whole appraisal value was arrived at. Thank you!

This place was awesome, the car park lots are conveniently located in front, staff were very professional and polite we only waited 5 minutes and the representative answered all our questions. The seating area are comfortable and the restrooms are clean. We had trouble filling out the forms and the young lady walked us through. We noticed that the other folks waiting seemed to be pleased as well once it was there turn. To Fort Bend Central District, thank you !

I just went to submit an UDI form for our homestead exemption. The lady who helped me was really nice and helpful. She made an phone call to make sure we have submitted all the required documents.

Everyone was very courteous and professional to me. I'm sure they deal with a lot of vitriol day in day out. The appraiser for my protest was a tough negotiator (settled for more than what I felt I owed), but I feel like he was reasonable and kept me out of the "formal process" of an ARB meeting, which I figure is probably a waste of time. If you don't like what they say, don't complain - lawyer up!

Ms. Mandi Rubalcaba, the Director of Property Records and Administration, was incredibly responsive in helping me fix a homestead exemption issue that previously recorded documents I did for a client of mine created. Not sure how else to thank her other than writing a review. This is the kind of service to residents of the county that every CAD should aspire to, and I'm so thankful to her!

I stopped by to turn in my appeal paperwork today.Alana was knowledgeable, helpful and kind she made the process extremely easy.

Before speaking with Sharon I truly did not understand much of anything about property taxes. She explained everything thoroughly, warned me about fraud and reviewed the homestead application process with me. She was truly a joy and a breath of fresh air!

I think the housing tax is a scam the way it's set up, but these kind ladies were nothing but the sweetest and most curteous to me. Couldn't imagine doing such a thankless job but glad somebody is. Thanks for your service to the community and keeping a positive attitude!

Went in to do a homestead exemption. Got help from linda.g she was great. Gave me alot of useful info and helped he correct my forms. Idk why people have a problem with this place.

The three gentlemen on the ARB listened to my presentation of current comparables, took time to read the MLS sheets, and understood that it was more relevant to current value opposed to the CAD's dated sales. Thankfully, two of the three agreed with me. Everyone was brief and to the point.
