I decided to take a moment to write this review because of the absolutely exceptional “care” (they truly cared for us) my family received at Forest Ridge Funeral Home when the matriarch of our family died after an extended convalescence. Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things we can go through, and the experience comes with a myriad of emotions, mood swings, and stages of grief as we navigate our way through the process.

One of the most challenging aspects of this is the funeral arrangements for our loved one that has passed. It truly is a surreal experience filled with conflicting emotions and this is often the time when we are most vulnerable and needing a compassionate voice to guide us.

The moment we walked through the door at Forest Ridge to begin the process, we were greeted by the owner, David. He was kind, compassionate, and welcoming as we prepared to iron out the details of our celebration of life ceremony. He instantly put us at ease and let us know that he and his staff would do everything they could to make this process as easy as it could be given the circumstances.

I was instantly taken with this facility. It is beautifully decorated with artwork hanging on the walls from several different eras; perfectly placed furniture throughout giving it an ornate, homey feel; the foyer showcases a baby grand piano that anchors the room with elegant dignity; and the highlight, a gorgeous chapel that seats 250 with additional seating outside in hallways with video access to view the ceremony.

Everyone on the staff was exceptional and their attention to detail was beyond welcoming at a time when our family was not in our most optimum state to navigate this very challenging time. They were patient, listened to our needs, and made all the appropriate suggestions to help guide us in this process.

I highly recommend Forest Ridge Funeral Home to anyone who is making one of the most important and difficult decisions we could ever make for our loved one. David and his staff will take this very difficult time and make it into one that will be held with the highest regard. What can I say? The five star reviews below say it all; all I can do is change the name to Kylie, everything else applies. My father passed away in April and this is the first time I've had to do anything like this. My mother had me run everything and I knew nothing of what to do. I'm a control freak, a micro manager, and things have to be RIGHT to my standards. In comes Kylie. Personable, unbelievably kind, knowledgeable, chilled in the way that you feel at peace and that everything is going to be okay. She patiently led me through what I needed to do, gave me suggestions, followed through on obligations, and kept me updated regarding the process as we moved forward. The evening before the service, Kylie let me know that an emergency had come up and she would not be able to be at the service the next day, but she had passed the info regarding our needs to another associate. I was extremely nervous and worried when I got to the funeral home the next day--I didn't know the other associates were just like Kylie. I walked in and immediately there was a female associate who introduced herself and another associate who was there to assist. She was cool as a cucumber, chilled, knew everything about what was going on, updated me on how the military was going to be a part of the service and when. I felt like one of the associates was within arms reach wherever I was to be of service. The viewing and then service were flawless. Another review here mentioned they felt like they were in their own living room? Ditto. The furniture was extremely comfortable and welcoming. Forest Ridge has PERFECTED their profession. This is one of the most stressful times in life; The Forest Ridge EXPERIENCE is exactly what is needed at this time. There are not enough stars to rate this funeral home. All I can say is may God richly bless each and every one of you for your heart of a servant in this profession.

Brad and the entire staff at Forest Ridge were flawless in the care and support they gave to my family and me during my father's passing and subsequent memorial service. My father passed in Columbia, MO and desired to be laid to rest in his home state of Texas. The process was very detailed and long and Brad was there for me every step of the way.
The care and true compassion he offered me was more like a pastor, counselor and friend than a "funeral director."
The service was beautiful. The lobby was filled with photos and memories of my father and all our friends and family truly enjoyed gathering before the service and sharing memories of Dad. The atmosphere was more like we were in our living room than in a funeral home.
The slide show Alyssa created for us from the photos I provided was stunning and comforting to everyone. It truly represented Daddy.
The programs and thank you notes they created captured Daddy's personality perfectly. It seemed as though they actually had known him...although they never ever met him.
The details Brad helped us arrange for the burial were flawless and honored my Dad and his love of his country in a way that I will never forget.
I cannot thank them enough or recommend them highly enough.

The staff of Forest Ridge Funeral Home sets the bar very high by providing excellent service when clients are at their most vulnerable, saying goodbye to their loved ones.

I’m so grateful for the care that was taken when they were able to ask the right questions, listen to exactly what we requested and then they went above and beyond to meet our expectations. Steven and Jason were the perfect team and were always available for even the smallest question from me and very accommodating to our whole family.

The entire staff is so kind and never seem to tire of answering the same question many times due to us feeling so overwhelmed by the sudden loss of my husband.

The service provided by Jason and Steven was absolutely the best. My father recently passed and this was the first time I've had to make any funeral arrangements. Jason was extremely professional and went above and beyond to make sure dad's arrangements were what we wanted. From the first phone call to the end of the process, Jason and Steven made everything easy and understandable during our difficult time. The prices were by far the best in the area. My family is so thankful to Jason and Steven for everything they did.

My sister recently passed away and this was the first time I've had to handle funeral arrangements. I called another place first and was told they'd call me back Monday, and provided their prices. When I decided I didn't want to wait until Monday, I called Memorial Park Funeral Services and knew immediately I found the place that would get me through this difficult process. Their prices were the lowest I had found, literally $600 cheaper for the cremation process alone.

My family and I met up with Jason first, who was extremely professional, kind and made us feel so comfortable. He made sure everything was easy to understand, he was patient with our indecisiveness and went above and beyond in every aspect of the process.

After our first visit, I got to meet Stephen as well, who had the same outstanding qualities Jason did. He made me feel very comfortable, helped me with each step of the process, and again went above and beyond. Every time I mention all the things that Memorial Park did for me, my friends and family are surprised that there are still companies out there that have such great customer service, that their employees are so dedicated and truly make a difference in so many people's lives.

My family and I will never be able to thank Jason and Stephen enough for everything they did for us during this difficult time. While I'm not looking foward to another death, when the time does come, they will be the first people I call. Thank you again.

Our entire family couldn't have been more pleased with the service provided by Memorial Park for my dad's funeral. Jason was so comforting and thorough. He was on top of every detail and very available, even though this was at Christmas. He helped make the entire process of planning the funeral so easy during a difficult and emotional time. He was at the church ahead of everyone and managed to set everything up so beautifully. He coordinated everything with the church and the cemetery and it was the most beautiful service I have ever seen. Also, their prices were very affordable. One of the things I most liked is that - some funeral homes are so large and they have several simultaneous visitations and services and when you go in, it is crowded and you don't recognize anyone. It feels as if the services are overlapping each other. Memorial Park is small and much more intimate. You really feel like you are getting very personalized service and that you are the only one that matters to them. It feels like a family environment. I highly recommend Memorial Park to anyone that has the need and wants a superb service.

Steven, Jason and Rochelle are AMAZING! I lost my father unexpectedly on February 11th. I honestly didn't know where to start. I found and selected this funeral home due to their 5 star reviews. I now know why they have a perfect rating. They walked our family through every step and made sure that everything was perfect for dad's memorial service from start to finish, and kept us within our budget. The facility is incredible and Dad looked amazing as well. My family and I are indebted to everyone here. During a difficult time, its hard to know where to start. These guys will take care of you.

Jason Ely and Stephen are both doing God's work in such an outstanding way. They handled my wife's cremation with such dignity, compassion, and professionalism. I felt comfortable talking to Jason by phone before I ever met him. But when you meet him, you will never ever forget him. If anyone was "called" by God to do what he does so well it is Jason, hands down. And their facilities are immaculate in every way. I would recommend them to anyone. You will, never be disappointed in any way. I can guarantee that.

Absolutely recommend this funeral home. Had to call on a Saturday to start figuring out what funeral home to go with and the phone was answered with a courteous, helpful person answering all of my questions and never rushing me. When my mom passed away in the wee hours of Monday, again, they answered the phone right away and took care of everything. Her ashes were interred at the DFW Veteran's Cemetery and Jason took care of everything making all the arrangements. And their rates were more than reasonable. This is the first time I've had to ever do this and it was the the best experience under the circumstances.

We found Memorial Park Funeral Services by chance after getting substantially higher estimates from others. We were very pleased with the services and excellent attention to detail received from Jason and Steve. At a time of profound sadness, they helped my family by making the funerary details much easier to handle.

Jason's level of care for my father's cremation was exemplary. Jason and the staff took extra care to prepare my father for viewing just before the cremation, which allowed us an opportunity to say our goodbyes.

Thank you so much Jason & Steve for helping my family and me make a difficult time in our lives so much less stressful. Starting by speaking to me on a Friday night at 8, when several of the other funeral facilities I called where closed, and would have someone call me back the next day. I appreciated the fact that they also spoke to me with actual costs, instead of estimates.... but the deciding factor was that they had an onsite crematory. Honestly, that is one less worry we had, about there being an issue with transporting my loved one somewhere else, besides the funeral facility we choose for my loved one.

Our family was so pleased with Memorial Park. Jason took care of our every need. The service for our son was beautiful; facilities very comfortable and peaceful. This is the 3rd time our family has needed the services of this funeral home recently. The reason we keep going back is the NO pressure sale. We never felt once on any of the 3 visits any pressure to buy anything or pay for more than what we needed. All 3 of our relatives were cremated, and they were kind and compassionate and let us make decisions. I hope I don't have to use them again for years, but if I do, I will have no hesitation in calling them.

When my husband passed away suddenly in January, the staff at Memorial Park were so compassionate and helpful. This was a horrible time for me, and the staff made everything as easy as possible from simple to understand pricing to an all inclusive service with songs and photo montage. I did not have to worry about anything. The facility and service was amazing.

Steven and Jason are the most genuine and caring people in the industry. Their attention to detail and patience is second to none. The home itself is immaculate and cozy for your guests and people really feel comfortable there. All this and the prices are affordable as well. My family couldn't have asked for more.

Excellent service from a family business. We went through a very traumatic and sudden loss of our daughter but Jason and the rest of the Forest Ridge staff helped us get through a very emotionally painful time and organized a cremation service that excelled in every aspect. Highly recommended.
