Ernie's Seafood Restaurant

We visited this restaurant back in March 2024. Me and my husband was meeting with a long-time friend. None of us had been to this restaurant but decided to go since it was close in the area of where we were staying. The outside was quite clean, and I loved the ambience of the restaurant; dark but not too dark. I must stop and brag on the waitress because our guest was quite unsure of what she wanted and because everything seemed so delicious she wanted details on the 5 items she had her choices narrowed down to.
Shelly the waitress was amazing as without even looking at the menu was able to literally tell our friend exactly what she would be getting if she ordered say an ultimate fish sandwich, I mean right down to the way the sandwich is prepared. All three of us enjoyed our meal. It was fresh and looked appetizing and appealing. I was a little underwhelmed by the seasoning of the catfish because it tastes as though it had zero seasoning. Other than that, the service was good, and the bill was mid-range. So would I ever come to this establishment again, probably so….at least I can add some seasoning I cannot take seasoning away from meals prepared with too much salt and etc.

Great seafood at a reasonable price! The pecan crusted tilapia was crispy outside and flakey and moist inside! Perfect combination, the seafood gumbo was best I have ever had! Reasonably priced cocktails. Customer service was fast and friendly! Happy hour is from 11am to 7pm !

It was my first time eating here and won't be my last. The service here was superb, lots of good options for meals, and the food was excellent. I had catfish with a loaded potato and Caesar salad.

We enjoyed the atmosphere. It made us think of Cheers. And seriously, on a Friday night, I am pretty sure almost everyone there was a regular. They were all friendly, having a good time, and interacted with us just a little.

It was my mom's second time there with my sister and brother-in-law and they love it.

I even figured out who Norm is.

We will definitely come here again.

Had a good meal at Ernie’s with excellent service. Thought initially it was closed, working to replace signage. However, they were open and the outside work did not interfere with our conversations or cost distractions. The front door is on the side of the building, but there is parking both on the side and in the back of the building.

It's a low lit place. When we walked in we were seated immediately. Our waiter was so friendly. We enjoyed our escargo, oysters, and meals. All good.

We were in the area visiting my brother and he mentioned Ernie’s as being his favorite place to eat. We came here and it met and exceeded any expectations we may have had. My husband and I ordered the Mahi Mahi, cooked blackened with grilled vegetables. My brother ordered the potato crusted cod. All three plates were outstanding.
Our server, Hanna couldn’t have been more pleasant. Loved her. 😊
The Bar made delicious margaritas. Definitely worth ordering more and again. LOL
Whenever in Ft. Worth area, will definitely come back here.

This place is a hidden gem! Fantastic food, portions and staff! Chelsea our server was particularly excellent giving fantastic suggestions. Will be coming back! The owner even made an appearance and was an an absolute joy to have a conversation with.

***Update***
Went back for round two today (about 4weeks after my initial post) and I have to say this place did not disappoint! Interesting enough my server was once again Chelsea and her guidance led us through a fantastic meal of seafood gumbo, calamari, stuffed salmon, potato crusted cod, and a delightful blackberry cobbler with a generous scoop of vanilla on top! Top tier food and staff for very reasonable prices. A note on the ambiance, even in the high traffic times the acoustics in this establishment allows for easy conversation making it a great place for any business meals you may have. Try the calamari. :)

Awesome place to eat. Food was fantastic. Our waitress wasn't as good as expected..she wasn't on top of her game..hostess got our refills..she still got a 3$ tip..but was unsure of it. Overall our dinning experience was great and we will be back

Try the clam chowder, it is really good. It's a little bit on the watery side but it's delicious. We had the stuffed salmon which was okay but I probably wouldn't order it again. I'd probably try something else. Prices are really good.

Had the Ernie's burger for the first time... LOVED the mushrooms and swiss cheese. Owner/staff are fantastic and food is amazing... Highly recommend! Been a number of times and for sure will be back!

The BEST seafood in town, hands down!! The owner and staff are all amazing, too. Their fish selections are all wonderful and I absolutely love their coleslaw.

I had the stuffed salmon and it was the best thing I have ever tasted. 😋 I don't normally eat baked potatoes but wow it was really delicious 😍 I highly recommend this place. Everyone is really nice and very prompt.

The is the best kept secret around! Service was exceptional. We had a great server. Fresh seafood of all kinds. Nice menu with a great variety. I had not been here for quite a long time and was impressed to see it is even better than before. Tonight we had the Bacon wrapped sea Scallops. Absolutely delicious! I was impressed how the bacon was very crispy and the Scsllops themselves were not over cooked, but nicely done. My wife had the Grilled Shrimp salad. She was very pleased with it. I opted for the Pan-seared Hawaiian Mahi-Mahi. It was wonderful. For my sides I had steamed vegetables and a house salad with ranch. All portion sizes were substantial and fresh. My only negative was that the online menu was way out of date and didn't reflect the current offerings or prices. That being said, it wa a wonderful meal.

Great food and service. This place reminds me of the old steak houses from the past. I love it here and dine here frequently.
Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic find. Best catfish (Mexican style) I have ever had. Also a great hush puppy, which is hard to impress me with. Definitely on the return list!

Stopped by for early dinner, the bacon cheese burger and fries were cooked to perfection. I truly believe that they could not be any more perfect. I have never had a bad meal or service since I moved here in 2006. The shrimp is honest gulf shrimp, taste so good. Best place ever.

We go here often on Friday evenings. Great place to chill. Service is amazing and personal. Food is always great!

We didn't take any pictures of food but we should have because it was wonderful. I ordered the calamari for an appetizer with extra Hush Puppies, outstanding, perfectly cooked and the breading is light and crisp. The specials change as fresh seafood comes in so tonight the special was rainbow trout which I ordered grilled with a side salad and a loaded baked potato. The atmosphere is soothing with the dim lighting which made it a perfect end to a stressful work week. Everything I've had here has been great, stuffed salmon I would definitely recommend, even something simple like grilled shrimp salad has great flavor.
