Rivertown Coffee

Breakfast and coffee dates here are always fantastic! The black bean breakfast burrito is so yummy and fresh! Addictive and filling. The caramel lover's drink is delicious. The chai isn't as strong as I'd like but the rest of their coffees have a lot of flavor and impact. My friend loves the hot chocolate and peanut butter banana sandwich.

Only issue with the cafe is lack of areas to plug in a laptop/phone. Good amount of seating and lighting. Would be a great study spot otherwise.

Now usually i go to ' Big Bad Breakfast 'for breakfast but there was waiting this time so we decided to look up other breakfast places and decided to give this place a shot and I would definitely be coming back here . This Coffee / Breakfast place is cute . Their omelettes are amazing , i ordered the black beans and avocado omelette it was so good . Nice atmosphere and great coffee . Their muffins are nice too . You should definitely check this place out . One of the nicest breakfast places in Florence . The only thing i don't like about them is they don't have fresh squeezed orange juice I mean it would be nice for a breakfast place to have fresh squeezed orange juice rather than the bottled one . All in all great place to hang out in mornings , good friendly staff and good environment .

Out of towners. We own a coffee shop of our own and love trying everyone else’s coffees. River town has an excellent espresso. Not burnt, rich and full flavored. And the pimento cheese bacon egg breakfast sandwich was to die for. We know good breakfast and coffee when we see them and this place has it all down! Friendly and quick service.

This was the second time I’ve been here, and I really love this place. The people behind the counter aren’t all that talkative or social, but you can’t expect that in a place that is so busy. They are still very helpful and the coffee and sandwich I ordered were excellent.

Rivertown is a cute coffee shop in downtown Florence. I highly recommend the apple, bacon, goat cheese sandwich. Not pictured because I ate it before thinking about taking a photo. (It’s that good!) The staff is always super friendly and will make recommendations if you aren’t sure what coffee you are wanting.

I drank a drip of coffee and ate a poblano pimento cheese sandwich. I like this coffee. There wasn't much lighting, but the atmosphere was good :)

Excellent locally owned coffee shop with a diverse menu of breakfast and lunch items. Been at current location since 2004 so Rivertown has done a lot right. It is all about the coffee but lots of other drinks options available. I never have to wait long to order and prep time is speedy as well. Staff has always been friendly. The food menu has evolved over the years and currently very diverse. Ingredients are fresh. Expertly prepared but with a minimalist presentation...but it is all good.

Yes, the House Special Latte was exactly everything I hoped it would be. Would have appreciated it in a mug, but understand more dishwashing isn't always feasible.
The husband went back for a second Blueberry muffin. And the pimento bacon breakfast sandwich on sourdough? Delicious. Perfect to split, which could totally help the price point.

poblano pimento cheese, bacon, fried egg, tomato, and spinach, this was amazing. Coffee was good, outside seating is nice. Giant red heart outside with lot's of God's love locks. There is a beautiful church across the street. Based on the address, there must be a cemetery near by.

The Coffee was good we had a caramel macchiato and house brew and purchased honey from local honey farm sold in store there as well.Close to main street in the downtown area

Be ready to wait a minute it is very busy especially around 9am! The food is great the chai latte is very tasty. They have multiple milk options to choose from and the staff is super sweet and effecient! Definitely doing the bestbthey can with the huge crowd they get. The atmosphere may be busy coffee shop, but with the music and light hum of voices it's a pretty chill atmosphere. Great to come by get something to go or come hang out!

Rivertown is one of my favorite local coffee shops!! They have such good food and coffee!!

This place is the epitome of Florence’s charm. Service is friendly, the coffee is better than anywhere else, and they make a point to spotlight local artists and vendors. Not to mention the breakfast- it’s one of my favorites, period. This was my favorite place to study in college, and now it’s my favorite place to schedule a casual interview or catch up with a friend over coffee. It’s a must visit landmark for anyone in the Shoals!

Rivertown is a cozy little coffee shop in the heart of downtown Florence. They offer great coffee drink choices. The drink in the photo pictured is a cold brew and tonic, and it is perfect for the hot days of summer. It's coffee, citrus, and effervescent awesomeness. Their food is always amazing as well. The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting, and you enjoy your sundries as you look out Seminary street. I highly recommend Rivertown as they represent three greatness of Florence, AL local businesses.

If you start with good sourdough bread toasted to perfection, you can just about put anything on it. And whatever is on that delicious tomato breakfast sandwich is much better than "anything". Sage, basil, tomato, cheese, egg. So satisfying. And the music. I spend most my life whining (mostly internally, but I'm afraid I do it aloud too) about the utter lack of creativity in creating the right musical tone in a restaurant. And it's more of a shame if it's in a restaurant located in the hub of the sound of southern soul. But right here in Rivertown Coffee, they get it. We dawdled after our coffee and sandwich to listen to their eclectic, sweetsounds playlist. Fun place to grab your breakfast.

I'm a such a fan of this place. The food is fresh and the atmosphere is calm.

While on vacation we intended on going to 'Big Bad Breakfast', wait was way too long (glad it was). So we walked around while waiting and saw Rivertown coffee. We stopped in and decided to cancel our reservation here for breakfast sandwiches and a coffee. The people were so nice, the food and coffee was great. Couldn't ask for more. If we make our way back through here we will definitely stop again!

Rivertown is one of my favorite spots! We love the entire staff and they have the most delicious food. My 5 year old begs for a grilled cheese on a daily and they always accommodate and provide great service. They cater at our downtown venues as well and always are top notch! Thank you for being a staple in our community. We love and appreciate all the hard work that goes into running a business. Keep up the good work!

Rivertown is always pretty busy and it isn't hard to see why. I used to go for their Caramel Frappe all the time, but recently had lunch here for the first time. I got a Turkey Pesto Panini and it was sooo good! The staff are always patient and helpful. Definitely want to go back for lunch again.
