Goodness.. when you walk in.. the smell is delicious! Y'all this place is amazing, nothing fancy..just great food and service. We're not from here, we live about 5 maybe 6 hours away..thought we'd try somethin new..glad we did. If you're driving anywhere near here..you need to stop in and get some bbq. Hubby got the pork steak..wow I can not say enough about how good it is. I got the half chicken..not that I can eat all that.. but again.. wow!! Tender juicy.. soooo good!! Their bbq sauce is really good as well. We both tired the mac n cheese and baked beans.. they to are great. You can't go wrong here. The service was wonderful.. friendly and very helpful. When we asked for a little more bbq sauce.. she brought 2 containers out.. they were nice and warm. If I could give more than 5 stars.. I would. Come on out .. this place truly is a gem!!!

I've eaten here twice once was ribs then today rib tips. When I say both times my food was nice and TENDER! I typically usually ask to not give me end pieces of the rib tips when I visit BBQ joints cause it's hard to chew, but when I tell u whomever Cooks at this establishment takes pride in what they serve everything was edible even the gristle 😂. I definitely recommend this place you won't be disappointed next thing I want to try is the snoots! Stay tuned for a update!

We had the brisket with the baked beans and Mac and cheese and everything was so so good. I recommend highly. It was our first time having the food here and I have no complaints. I would for sure come back!

At the urging of my colleagues, I tried this place. So glad that I did. My new favorite barbecue joint! I had the brisket dinner. It is difficult to find someone who knows how to correctly cook a brisket. Let me tell you, this place does it right. The meat was flavorful and moist. I have never had baked beans the way that they cook them. Absolutely delicious...with meat onions and peppers. Bravo! My friend had the smoked pork chop. Potato salad was home made as well. This place rocks! Thanks guys for the great food!

This place has some great food. I ordered a BBQ pork steak and it was delicious!! It just fell apart and was melt in your mouth good. And their Bananna bread was awesome. You guys gotta try this place.

Very friendly place eat in or dine out love the bbq sauce . I will know more after I eat come to jjs wont be disappointed
. I forgot the food was great. Especially the ribs . I'm going for a full order next time and I even froze and reheated them they were so tender . Yummy

Best barbecue you can’t beat and the snoots , to die for banana pudding. The owners the best people of the best . Diner is nice and clean , atmosphere very ! Can’t beat the prices!!!

Hands down one of my favorites in Granite City! My only complaint I have are the hours of operation. However I love it so much I’m willing to work a part time job there if it extends the hours 😀 so good !!

This is our new go-to place for BBQ! The pork steaks were so tender they fell right off the bone & the sauce was just spicy enough for a little kick! The sides (we had green beans & potato salad) were okay but the BBQ was the star of the show. And the service was fast & friendly. Keep up the great work!
Update from Thanksgiving 2023: we had the BEST turkey we've ever had because we ordered from JJ's! It was smoked perfection! Thank you, JJ's!

SEND IT! 🔥 Food was on point. Definitely hit the spot. Pricing was decent. Not here with any complaints. I'm only shy of 5* because I would like to see more menu options.. example maybe a smaller plate for kids, loaded baked potatoes, or even some bacon wrapped smokies. Mmmm. Go ahead with the $ increase on the drinks as well you have a little wiggle.

As I walked in the place is nice and clean, you can smell the great aroma of the food, the customer service was outstanding, I ordered the pork steak dinner, the steak was delicious, potato salad is like my mother's, I am very pleased and will go again.

Moved to the St Louis area (home of the pork steak) almost 40 years ago. Tried a number of places serving pork steak and until today, Doc's in Edwardsville was by far and away, the best. No longer, JJ's has, without a doubt, taken the crown.. Falls off the bone with a great sauce and good sides to go with it. If you have never tried a pork steak, get it here and you will immediately see what you have missed. My compliments!!

Best bbq I’ve had in a while! I have never in my life tasted sweet Mac n cheese but it worked and it was delicious! It wasn’t overly sweet, just had a hint. The meat was tender and the bbq sauce was good as well. The banana pudding, I could tell they waited until those bananas were perfect before using them! Very true banana flavor and delectable.

If you haven't tried JJ's you are missing out on some of the best barbecue around . The pulled pork and brisket were great but if you get the chance you must try the pork steak. It was amazing! And the sides were good as well. Make a trip to downtown Granite. Good things are happening and don't forget to go to JJ's.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. If you want to get fed quick, go to taco bell. (unless you call your order in ahead). But if you want fantastic bbq??! This should be a must try for you. And fantastic staff. I will be back, guaranteed. And anyone giving this place one or two stars will never be happy with anything, so ignore them

JJ's BBQ is some of the best I've had. I'm in town visiting for business purposes. My co-worker recommended and I'm glad she did. Great family owned place! I'd recommend to anyone
