El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant

I'm a truck driver and had to make a stop at Walmart, which is in the same plaza. Saw the restaurant lights from across the parking lot. They had a good amount of cars parked in front for it to be the middle of the week. Decided to walk over, and as soon as I walked in, someone greeted me at the door. The inside decor looked very authentic and the people inside looked like they were enjoying themselves. I was seated immediately and the waiter came right over to take my order. The food was very good and filling. I had to take a to-go plate.

This was a surprisingly good little Mexican restaurant. Pictured is the Fajita Rodeo, and it was excellent. I asked them to cook the vegetables well done, in order to help meld all of the flavors, and they cooked them perfectly. Most restaurants ignore that request, so I was pleasantly surprised when the food came out. This one dish was enough for both my wife and I, with plenty left over. The salsa and queso were both flavorful and unique. The sweet tea was also made correctly, for this southern boy.

One of our regular spots to go. Been at least 15 times now. Foods great and service is quick! Absolutely love their rice and beans. Ribeye is good and chicken is always good too.

It was very busy so I expected the service to be a bit slower than regularly.

Oh my, what a great place! Fabulous service. We sat in a comfortable booth.
Had a very tasty strawberry frozen Margareta. I'd say a good dinner. Came from the Farm Progress Show.

Went in for a take-out. We Each had their large Margarita. Food came out halfway through the margariita and while we were waiting, they were so accommodating and friendly. And great food. It was also busy

Absolute favorite Mexican restaurant. Best salsa in town. Prices are great. Always seated fast regardless if they're busy or not. Friendly staff, great service and food is always hot and fresh. They also make the best Amaretto Stone Sours.

Oh what a great outing tonight! With less than 48 hours before the entire state of Illinois is locked down in regards to dine in eating at restaurants. Everyone and their cousins were eating out tonight. There was a lineup to get into the restaurant I was at shortly after I arrived.

Great food, great portions, fantastic service and mind blowing low prices.

The server brought me a to go box even let me take a whole basket of chips and good sized container of salsa on top of all my leftovers.

I had some high end seafood Fajitas with shrimp and scallops along with all the usual onions and peppers etc.

It also included a second plate which contained the rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream, Gaucamole and Pico de gallo.
Bottomless Glass of Pepsi.
Hell!, he even brought me yet another Pepsi in a Styrofoam cup with lid to go with my leftovers, chips and salsa.
Whole thing cost less than 14 USD.

I gave him 21 bucks USD so 50% tip.
I also gave him a Canadian loonies, quarter, dime and nickel as well.
Lol!
It was beyond just a meal it was a remarkable experience to savour.

I hope to return here at some point in the future when eat in dining is restored again to try something else on the menu!

Best place in town. Food is always great and they always make you feel like family.

The food was very delicious and the service was impeccable, however it also caters to the family crowd so if you want a quiet / romantic place this place should not be your destination.

I saw all the good reviews so I went while passing through. They were super busy on a Wednesday night but the food did not take long. The queso cheese is good so order it with your free chips. I ordered the 3 steak tacos and the meet was excellent. Perfect size and lots of flavor. Tons of food for the price

I got there several times a week when I am in town working. Price is outstanding and portions are very generous. The desert menu is the best I have ever experienced at a Mexican restaurant.

Friendly staff crowded after 4 pm to closing time so there is a wait when seated the waiters all most on you trying to move around you to wait on the other people that's how crowded it gets but the food is great had the fajitas for one shrimp beef and chicken

Freaking amazing one of the best Mexican restaurants I think I've been to and I'm a huge fan of Mexican food yeah this place is a gem and you should definitely eat there staff is super friendly food arrived in a timely fashion restaurant was clean and food was amazing!

This place is always delicious and I believe the seating availability shows that. They need to move! They need a bigger space with better parking. With that being said,best margaritas in town,my burrito was on point,my little cheese stick ordering child even liked my rice so much he stole half of it!!!! Thank you for another amazing meal!! We had a large group and went here on a Sunday afternoon. They were able to accommodate us quickly, and the food was great.

There was a drunk couple, kids running around, and her 1 year old crying not stop and the mom is trying to take pics of her for Instagram. An employee took and child, calmed her down and walked around and talked to her for a while. 👏👏👏👏👏 HUGE respect from me. I left him a decent tip. Oh, and the food is just fantastic.

The server was great and was very patient due to fact we had one late to our party. He suggested drinks that held us til out late party show up. The food once order was plenty. You are guaranteed leave full and satisfied. The ladies bathroom was very clean and the stalls have a coat or purses hook to keep from putting them on the floor. All the staff seem to worked in synchronous with each other. Staff was was always with smiles when spoken to. They seem to enjoy their job and and each other.I would return.
