This place never disappoints. It's one of those places you'll only find locally. So, if you're not from around here, this is the spot to eat. The lemon ice cream is something you have to try. Be sure that if you want lettuce and tomato, you specify this as it is not included if you just ask for "everything"

A Decatur staple. So good. Hard to even pick my favorite combo. Hamburger, grilled cheese, fries, strawberry-lemon twist cone, lemon milkshake... all phenomenal.

LOVE Krekel’s! This one on Wood street is the BEST!! Still the crispy edges on the hamburgers! Milk shakes are wonderful too!

Whenever I go I get their cheeseburger and fries. It’s usually very good. I would recommend trying the lemon ice cream. The flavor kind of reminds me of fruit loops cereal

The food is so amazing and the service has always been great every time i go up there. It’s about 10 dollars a person if you don’t go too crazy when you order. They’re also usually very lenient and accommodating with their customers. I recommend the chili during the winter. the cook makes it daily during the fall-winter months so it’s very fresh.

The place is very small but the food is amazing and the ice cream is great as well. I recommend 💯🔥🔥🔥

First time here. We got dbl cheeseburgers and fries. You place the order give your name and pay when it is ready. The burgers were juicy wirh crispy outside. Classic burgers. Got to get you some good.

I came in and order ice cream cones they were very understanding and had pacentes. We were a group of black and white children for a small town they did great.

In my opinion this is the absolute best Krekels. Food is always piping hot. Many other Krekels burgers at other places seem to be barely warm at times. This is my choice. 2nd choice used to be Mound road until they moved.

This is for the location off of Main St. Soft-serve was delightful, strawberry, all day! Fries were excellent and the burgers were a solid value. Would definitely go here again next time in Decatur.

Grewup in Moweaqua and spent weekends with grandma in Decatur. Dad would stop there a lot of time. Live in Covington Tn now. Every time I go back I have to stop and eat there. Simply the best. Wish we had one down here. My grown kids ask me to bring them one home when I go.

1st time there and went on another driver's recommendation. Their burgers are fresh, cooked to order, and dressed to your liking. The food, including their fries, stayed hot throughout the meal.
Now, their milkshakes are the sole reason for going, and they didn't disappoint. The first sip had me calling God. The last sip had me wanting a cigarette, and I don't even smoke! 😄

Lives up to the hype. Delicious thin crispy patties with all the classic topping options. Highly recommend getting a double. Brings me back to being a kid eating at that small town burger spots.

I'm not even going into the food because if you don't know how amazingly good it is then why are you reading this? The customer service and care here were threw the roof! Stopped by at the beginning of the lockdown during some business in town and the employees here nailed it! They were quick and you could tell took pride in their work. That's sometimes hard to tell in the food industry. Very nice to see it!

Nostalgia at its best! This is the original and I've rediscovered it and still my favorite! A bag filled with burger and fries, and don't forget the shake or ice cream!
