Big Lots

Big lots is a discount store that you can find great prices on almost anything. They also have furniture rugs and beds to purchase. As well as large amounts of seasonal items, outdoor patio furniture, home decor all and very good prices.
Big lots also has a huge selection of food items but you have to be careful that they are in date. Plenty of parking at this location right near Harlem and dempster..

Big Lots is the retail equivalent of a surprise party—where every aisle promises a plot twist of bargains you never saw coming. Picture this: you pop in for a toaster and emerge with a cart that screams, "But wait, there's more!"—including, somehow, a garden gnome that now feels essential. Staffing might be on the leaner side, but who needs a crowd when you've got the MVP of customer service? This one incredibly nice lady there has the magical ability to make you feel like you're the only shopper in the store, possibly the universe. It's like having a personal shopping assistant who cheers you on as you make questionable life choices, like that third set of string lights (because, why not?). Big Lots, where you go for the prices but stay for the unexpected joys (and garden gnomes).

While there is no self-check which sad reflects the amount of customers there is no shortage of supplies. I truly can’t tell you the satisfaction I get paying 2017 prices compared to 2024.

Marvelle who is the sales furniture lead was absolutely excellent! Incredibly helpful, just beyond amazing. You can tell he takes great pride in his work and he’s very diligent! I was not expecting fantastic customer service from this big lots store but was blown away! Marvelle deserves a promotion!

This Big Lots is great, I always forget about it for some reason. They have a good selection of furniture, I'm always eyeing a mobile kitchen island they have. Cheap bird seed, $7 for a 20lb bag! Lots of other stuff is cheaper, too.
Fun items you don't see everywhere else, like different As Seen On TV products, different health and beauty stuff.

Big Lots is a great store.
I've been shopping for many years, and many more to come.

Great furniture finds. Staff is pleasent. Don't forget about the weekend freebies for Rewards members. This is one of their larger stores.

There are many goods in cheaper price. I like to buy things for I look around and I find there… Very good store

Very pretty lightweight chandelier. It does not give off as much light as indicated on the box and the lights are the cool white (almost blue actually) and not the warm (regular type light) it is supposed to have given. It's neat it is on a remote though. I just wish it was brighter like it indicates. I'll just have to figure out a way to add more light to actually make it useful instead of decorative....

Just purchased my mattress from here. They ordered it. Called me...picked it up and it is amazing. Thank you Maria u were great

This store is wonderful, but I would particularly like to recognize Tim, the associate who so kindly assisted me the last two days. I was very pleased with his professionalism, thoughtfulness and friendly demeanor. I shop at Big Lots often and Tim has been by far the best to work with. I will continue to shop at this one even though I live closer to other locations.

After placing my furniture order online the night before it was ready for pickup early the next morning. The gal brought it out to my car and even helped me wedge it in the back seat. This store is definitely the most friendly in the Chicagoland area.

Large selection great parking. You need time to look. You will find stuff. Come with a list. Nice friendly staff. Usually by registers. Always a long line. Some great deals.

If you really want a great customer service and a great helper go find Angela. She is very helpful and very nice to deal with. I would always go back to her if I ever wanted to buy anything else for my house.

Love the new location! More spacious, and the furniture section is well laid out and not crammed into a corner. Store plan is good, easy to find items, although I like to browse everything so I don't miss new items. Great selection of items and great prices!! Plenty of parking too! Check it out for yourself, and maybe you'll find that one gem of an item like I did!! Actually, I have stumbled across a few items that I either get compliments on, or that have been really handy! 4 or 5 port usb charging stand. Go! Look! Oh, and can you bring back the wax warmers?

The biggest good stuff junk store! Lol. I like this place. Never know what you’ll find.
