Du Page County Building Permit

I’m here multiple times a year for my profession and though the processes to obtain permits can be a little tricky at times all of the staff are very friendly and actually give you the time of their day to work through items needed. Everyone from front desk and all permit technicians have treated me with respect and been very friendly which is a nice positive when I know I’ll be back over and over. Permits have moved to online so I may never be back in person but thanks for always being so helpful !

Went for a permit to re-roof my house. Everyone I talked to were very nice. The Officer at the front, the two clerks at the desk (I can’t remember their names) and Andrea, the lady that issued my permit. If only all gov’t employees, local, state and federal were as nice. Go with a smile and a “Good morning” you might just have a great experience.

The permit application process is more demanding than in some other jurisdictions but the people you will have to deal with are reasonable which makes the process fairly easy. The new online applications are definitely complicated but once you get used to them - are doable.

Called and emailed several time No answer. The worst service I've experienced.
