The Bookstore of Glen Ellyn

Such a delightful little store. My son and I were out on a wander and decided to pop in, and I'm so glad we did! They have a fantastic selection of children's books from some of our favorite authors and illustrators. It was so refreshing to see such a well-curated collection. We especially appreciated the beautiful secular holiday and winter books during the visit!

Love this bookstore! They have a great selection of books and I really like the staff recommendations tucked into the jackets. They have a wonderful selection of puzzles, some fun stationary/cards and a small selection of miscellaneous gift items. This is my go to spot for summer reading and holiday gifts.

With a fabulous inventory of books, this is my favorite bookstore. I could spend all day browsing the shelves, chatting with the friendly staff, and picking out gifts for my favorite people. They can order books, wrap presents, and, of course, find the perfect next read for me. Combined with the adorable downtown and its plethora of great restaurants, you can make a visit to this bookstore the capstone of your day.

This is a very nice Indie bookstore. We were there on Indie bookstore day and they had cookies and treats and raffles for free books. Good selection and collection of books. Very helpful staff. Feel transported back in time to Main Street, USA

I love our local independent bookstore. What's best about them? The warm personal service? The friendly help in making choices? The manageable size? Or the books themselves? Hard to choose. It's a great place for buying gifts for others and for yourself.

This is a wonderful, independent bookstore located in the heart of Glen Ellyn's historic downtown. I called them to see if they had a specific edition of a book in stock & they held the copy for me until I arrived. When I got there, their knowledgeable staff took the time to help me find out if it was the first printing of that edition. Although I had never been to the store before, & the item I wanted was not a particularly expensive one, they treated me like I was a valued customer & that my purchase, plus the attendant questions I asked about its editon, printing, & condition, really mattered to them. I had a great experience shopping with them & I cannot recommend this outstanding store more highly! ☆☆☆☆☆

Really cute small bookstore focused largely on childrens books but also with a curated selection of regular books. They have a rewards program. A few cute reading related boutique items such as socks, candles, etc. They do have an online ordering option.

Supporting your local bookstore is easy when you have this great of one in your local neighborhood. They really have an amazing selection for the entire family, and are always willing to quickly get you something if they don't have it in stock (typically in just a couple days) and you can even order online from home and have it delivered to the store for quick and easy pickup.

They had a great selection of books and the staff working there were very kind. I would definitely go again and I recommend this place for people looking to get new books!

One of our favorite stores in Glen Ellyn. It’s a top “go to” store for us when in the market for a birthday gift. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. If they don’t have a book in stock, they quickly get it shipped in for you. Prices are very reasonable. They have recently remodeled, and the store is gorgeous.

Best way to not allow Jeffy Bazos to take another trip to space.

Staff are very helpful and accommodating, will find what ever title your looking for. And Downtown Glen Ellyn is a great place to live life.

I love this bookstore. During this COVID times we need good to support small business that love their customers and keep on working hard to keep books culture afloat. I ordered online and they were quick and efficient in both answering and delivering. Thank you!

I love this place. It's cute and quite cozy. The smell of books always brings a comforting feeling to me. I'm going to be very sad the day this store sees its end.

Great to see an independent bookstore doing good business in downtown Glen Ellyn. This place is newly remodeled and very comfortable. My only complaint is no chairs to sit and enjoy the bookstore ambiance. Buy local, support local!

Kind people work there. They do reward you for buying from them over a period of time. I enjoy supporting local businesses near my home as much as I am able on a limited budget. No discounts that I am aware of, being so small in an expensive area, but I used to earn one $10 off a year, good towards any book as I recall...

The staff was friendly and got me the book I needed. My daughter had fun playing with toys while I browsed. We had a great shopping experience at this small, indie bookstore.

Small independent bookstore so they don't have a huge selection but what they have is great. Especially in children's books and coffee table books. Staff is very helpful and will order anything they don't have in stock.
