Wild Onion Brewery & Banquets

Our daughter’s wedding was here yesterday- what a beautiful venue and perfect choice her and her husband made! Christian (banquet manager) and his staff were totally on top of things! Room was set up as stated. They made sure things ran smoothly throughout the evening. A complete package and great value for money.
The room has a beautiful patio. Floor to ceiling windows made a great backdrop for the ceremony and then the head table. The bakery they work with made a delicious cake with many choices of flavor and design. In case of bad weather they will open the brewery for pictures.

This was a fantastic place. We’ve been in the area for 30+ years and never eaten here before. Service was top notch and the food was even better. We started out with a pretzel. It was probably the best beer cheese I have ever had. Definitely home made. Not something out of a can. Had a club sandwich. Forgot to take pictures of our food. There were 4 of us and all said their dinners were excellent.

The PSL (Pumpkin Stout Latte) is phenomenal. It's an Imperial Stout. I didn't taste any strong pumpkin notes. It has the smooth and sweet finish of a good milk stout. I highly recommend it, if you enjoy malted beers. The Service was excellent. We had the Black & Bleu Bergers 🍔. Since COVID the menu has trimmed down, and is more bar fare, but all good. Always a great experience and will be doing back

I love this place. Got some the Rachel and onion rings for carryout today. Their Rachel is not turkey but pastrami, and its house made and smoked, very tasty. The onion rings are perfect. And I brought some of the brews home, can'twait to try the crowler of pineapple hopslayer in a bit. The patio looks like an awesome place to dine also. I was alone today so brought it home.

Good food and great ambience. Our server Kenneth was pleasant and accommodating. He gave us the specials. We ordered Salad and Reuben sandwich. Very tasty marble rye, generous corned beef and coleslaw is how I like it, on the sweet side. Our food looks good and forget to take pictures.

The Onion Pub in Barrington has become our family's go-to spot, and there are several reasons why it's become our regular haunt. If you're like me, not a big food expert, and just want a good, hearty meal, this place is perfect.

Let's start with the burgers. I can't claim to be a burger connoisseur, but I know a good one when I taste it. The burgers at the Onion Pub are just right – not too dry, not too greasy, and they always hit the spot. Every time we visit, we know we're in for a satisfying meal. If you're a meat-and-potatoes kind of person, you won't be disappointed.

Now, onto the drinks. The variety of beers they offer is impressive. I'm not a beer expert either, but I enjoy trying different brews now and then. The staff here is helpful in guiding me to something I'll like. It's nice to have a place that offers more than just your usual domestic beers, and the options at Onion Pub always keep things interesting.

What really makes this place special for us, though, is the atmosphere. The decor is warm and cozy, with lots of wood and cool little details that give it a rustic charm. It's perfect for family dinners. The kids enjoy it, and my wife and I appreciate the relaxed and welcoming vibe. It's not too fancy, and that's what we love about it.

And the staff here is fantastic. They're friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. It's a family-friendly place, and we never feel rushed. It's a nice change from some of the fast-paced places we've been to.

In the end, the Onion Pub in Barrington is our kind of place. As a regular family guy, I can tell you that it's a reliable spot for a delicious, no-fuss meal. Great burgers, a good selection of beers, a cozy setting, and a friendly staff – it's got everything we need for a satisfying night out with the family. We keep coming back, and we're never disappointed.

This is the first time that I've been to The Onion, and I have to say my expectations were beyond exceeded! They have an amazing beer menu, and all of their beers are quite delicious. Their food menu is pretty extensive as well. We started out with the shrimp ceviche, which was delicious with the perfect amount of spice. For my entree I had the smoky mountain chicken sandwich, which had the amazing balance of blue cheese, bacon, and granny smith apples. I'm definitely returning, food and drinks are top notch!

Service was great and the rachel sandwich with onion rings was delicious. The fish and chips were just okay. Was hoping for a better flavor. I didn't like the breading on the fish and the fish portions were small. I prefer a bigger piece of breaded fish. Nice atmosphere and we will be back to try other menu items. Lots of food we want to try on their extensive menu.

Burgers are delicious! Wings are great! I love their tots, onion rings and the kickin chicken wrap/salad is delicious! House chips are yummy as well! Service is great! They have a nice outside patio that is pet friendly ! Highly recommend this place! Beers are also delicious! Everything is made there! Also, they can host parties/events! A beautiful place!

What a great looking wedding venue. I've had the pleasure of officiating here and am always impressed by this one of a kind location. The Onion Pub has beautiful ceremony options for both indoor and outdoor celebrations. Best wishes!

Much enjoyed. We had nachos, a Cobb salad and a Rachel. Everything was very good. I wasn't a huge fan of the coleslaw but that's a minor hit. The pils was good and the mai tai potent.
This is the only place where I wished the music was just a little louder. It was a fun playlist but I was straining to make it out.
I might try to sit outside next time. It looked nice.

Tv screens are limited but in good spots. Food is really good. (Try the pretzel) There's a central fireplace. The place is just comfortable to spend time at. Beer is great of course.

Love this place! We actually got married here last year. Great food, service and even better beer. Misfit is my personal favorite.

We love the Onion Pub. Wonderful brewed beer and great menu! The atmosphere is calming, and the people are great. There is a beautiful patio in the back of the restaurant overlooking a small lake/pond. Decor is very fun. One of our favorite places to eat and kid friendly.

Great place to have some amazing beer. I've been here several times but never tried their food until recently. I can safely say that their entrees are phenomenal! Ingredient pairings are perfect. You cannot go wrong here

Beautiful wedding venue. Friends were married here, staff was attentive, grounds and decor were stunning.

The food and drinks were great. I had southwest salad and my husband had an onion cheeseburger. Service was great as well. Price are reasonable, and we will be definitely back.

The Western burger was delicious and our server was friendly and attentive. We sat in the bar but it wasn't too noisy or overcrowded. Definitely a go to when we want a good burger.
