Great experience. Previous to going to Quinlan’s, my car had always been maintained at the dealership. Happily, this experience far exceeded my expectations. Jim (owner) found issues the car dealership did not identify and did the necessarily work to ensure I’d have no further issues or damage to the car. It’s been well over a month, the car is driving perfectly, no issues, and I couldn’t be happier. Jim was very informative, honest, and reasonable with what he charged. I am relieved to know that I have him to go back to for any future issues and regular maintenance. Highly recommend!

I came to Jim on the strength of his reputation. A colleague gave me the name of his shop the day I arrived in Wellesley, and told me he did excellent work. His ratings on here told a similar story. Now, after dealing with him, and as long as I'm in Massachusetts, I won't take my car anywhere else. A couple of weeks ago, I brought my vehicle in for what I thought was a bad throwout bearing. The car had that problem, but it had a deeper underlying cause. The details don't matter much. What matters is to know this: Jim took every possible measure to make an awful situation as easy as possible to deal with. He did everything in his power to find not just a solution, but the best solution, and to save me money wherever possible. Jim deserves all of these five star reviews, and the many more he will get just by being the kind of mechanic that he is. It's hard to know who you're dealing with these days. Let me make it easy on you: take your vehicle to Quinlan's, and spare yourself the worry of uncertainty.

Jim is the best mechanic. We have a Porsche, BMW and Toyota vehicles … and we take all these cars to him for everything. Absolutely top notch.

Came in for an oil change. Jim was super nice and took the time to double check the recommended oil according to the manufacturer cause I didn't know what it was. Explained to me the differences between that and other types of oil used. Quick service, great guy!

Super honest mechanic. Did a diagnostic of my car and then gave me his honest opinion about whether to conduct the repair or end of life my car by trading it in. He has worked on both my Jeep Cherokee and Toyota Sienna.

As a former devotee of Larry Ng in Swellesley, I had doubts about whether Quinlan's could ever make me truly happy. My 13 year old Honda pilot is fussy and a little senile - and was suffering from arthritis and multiple organ failure. Happy to report that Jim patched her up just great, and she rides like a youngster again. Don't hesitate, great experience!
