This place pleasantly surprised me!!! You walk in and see how beautiful it is and cannot believe how it is in this location. The tuna rolls , octopus as well as salmon rolls were freshly made and the miso soup is the best around. The staff is so professional as well as kind that you enjoy this place even more . Best sushi I ever had in Illinois

Been here for years. Always a wonderful experience. Especially the food. If you want to leave with a smile and a full and happy stomach, Kobe is the place to go!
Kobe also makes the best leftovers too. So much food, always have left overs to take home. Just microwave and its as good as new!

High quality food, outstanding service! Very friendly staff and table chefs. I make it a point to visit weekly for the sushi alone!

This place is just great. Small and family-owned, they'll likely remember you after a few visits. The service is always great and the food is killer. Plus they put on an awesome show.

We ordered at the restaurant and ordered to take home. The atmosphere as we waited was warm, cozy and inviting. As a vegan I was delighted with the exceptional spicy upon noodle vegetable and the vege fried rice with rempura was some of the best I have had. Not cheap and worth every penny.

Absolutely DELICIOUS the soup and salad is a MUST! the ginger dressing is mouth watering and the miso soup is just perfect. We got the Garlic shrimp hibachi and once i tasted that shrimp i was done, finished my veggies and rice and save the shrimp for last it was so yummy will definitely be back for more

We’ve been coming here for a number of years and it’s by far one of our favorite restaurants. The food is consistently good. Our favorite is the fillet and the garlic shrimp. Special thanks to al ofl the staff especially Jay!

Service was excellent, the chef was such a blast and did a phenomenal job. Ordered the steak and salmon Hibachi and it was perfect. 5/5 definitely will come back again.

We had an amazing time here yesterday. My 5 year old son Max LOVED our chef Jay and the show he put on. And my wife and I agreed. He was funny, a great chef, and made my son feel very special. Max wanted me to say this specifically to Jay: "You're so good. Next time I come to the restaurant, please come to my table." We will be back!

Went to the restaurant for my 21st birthday. The food was excellent, they cook it for you while you sit there watching them. Very nice quality food as well. Price is high but well worth it for a group of friends. There are cheaper options but I haven't had those yet. 10/10.

Incredible sushi! VERY fresh, well presented, 10/10 will come back for the hibachi side as well.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing meal at Kobe this weekend. The sushi was delish, service was great, and the restaurant had a couple tables in the front that were covid friendly. We really appreciated paper menus and being able to fill out our own order, and the shrimp tempura roll was our favorite. Will be going again!

I always love the food. Very nice people. The place has a lot of character. They were very busy and it wasn't perfect service. But they make up for it in other ways. My preferred Japanese steak house in the area. We've been going there for 20 years.

I came to this place after my friend had recommended it to me. All I can say is that I was very impressed. Great ambiance when I walked through the doors. Traditional Japanese themed decor. I ordered the Filet Mignon with Scallops. The combination goes perfectly with a cold Sapporo. Absolutely delicious.

Always exceptional. There is always a wait and the space to wait gets cramped... but we are always treated very cordially, every employee is working, the food is wonderful, service pleasant and efficient and you are given the time to enjoy a meal without feeling rushed. I highly recommend this restaurant.
