Fox Hole Tap And Pizzeria

This was our first time here and loved it. We had pizza and thier beer nuggets. Beer nuggets were crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside it was great. The service was great the waitress was very attentive. The pizza was really good, loved thier red sauce however I wish there was just a little bit more meat topping on the pizza. Otherwise I highly recommend!

Great variety! Thin crispy crusts. The buffalo chicken pizza was fantastic. Sausage & gairdenaire was perfectly spicy.

Delicious pizza! They have awesome specials throughout the week. Like the buy one, get one pizzas on Tues. It opens at 4pm every day, so no lunch unless it's a late one!

Basic seating in a chilled air 30's saloon style basement. Searched for roulette table or card table but found gaming machines. Food (pizza)was fantastic, service was lacking with only one person staff waiting/bar person.

My husband and I ate dinner at the bar here. I’ve had the pizza delivered to our house before, but this was my first time eating inside. The bar itself is in the basement of a building. The bartender was friendly and even made my husband a new drink when he wasn’t happy with his (7&7 didn’t taste right to him). We shared a thin crust pizza. Crust was crispy. Pizza was hot. We enjoyed it. Bar/restaurant is dark, but that’s expected to a degree since it is in a basement. All in all though, we would eat here again.

We love Fox Hole pizza! Great bartenders working everytime we have come in! We made it a weekly stop while we were in town and will definitely miss it the environment and great pizza! We will definitely be back when we are back in town!

YOU have to try here! I typically go on Friday nights when I am in town visiting my inlaws. It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The service we receive is awesome and we will definitely be back again and again. The employees always make us feel welcome and give us an amazing experience. Thanks Lee for always giving us new things to try. I would recommend this place to everyone I know.

Exceptional diversity of vegan options. The pizza and bruschetta were excellent and the fresh hand-made ice teas were exceptional. For non-vegans like me, the pizza was delicious, with a generous amount of cheese and sauce. Just a superior experience overall. We will be back!

It’s difficult to find a good vegan pizza in McHenry. Foxhole offers great vegan options! Please, put the vegan options on the menu so more people can know about it and enjoy this pizza! Lee was very nice and helpful on the phone, great customer service! The vegan pepperoni was great :) This will be the only place I’ll be ordering pizza from now on.

They were great but they are CLOSED now.

Pizza was great, beer was cold. Most importantly, even though they were short staffed when I was there, I had no issues. There was one person, who I think is the owner, answering phones, waiting tables, bartending and bussing, and that was with a pretty full house. Great job and I'll definitely be back!

LOVE the Fox Hole! We lived in McHenry for 40 years and now reside in Florida for the past 2 years. CANNOT find pizza like this here in Florida. We recently went to Illinois for a visit and could not wait to go to the Fox Hole. The pizza, atmosphere and service was everthing we've been longing for. Thank you for the great pizza dinner.

Love this place. I took my BLT and Cheeseburger in Paradise Pizzas home! So good. Don't knock it before you tried it. Your taste buds will thank you for it. My favorite is BLT. If anything, you must try that. Thanks for the best Pizza imaginable!

Hands down the best thin crust pizza in the world period. I Don't care about any bad review I've eaten here for 15 years, The thin crust pizza is so good it Trump's any thin crust pizza around. I live out of state and always stop by when I'm in Illinois. The pizza itself will not disappoint. Thanks foxhole don't ever change

Went in for our first time tonight. Place was very packed and the two servers did a great job of handling it! Food was amazing. We can't wait to come back.

Great appetizers like fried green beans and cheddar beer nuggets. Their specialty pizzas are great like the white pizza and the meatball (without the onions of course)

This pizza is delicious! The mushrooms and spinach were fresh and not canned or frozen, the cheese was a very tasteful mozzarella, the crust was thin and light flour taste. The price was inexpensive, and the receptionist very friendly.

The BEST thin crust pizza in McHenry county! The crust is crisp and "crackery", the sauce not too sweet and all ingredients are super fresh. They have a good selection of appetizers. My favorite is the fried veggie combo-basket. The interior was a little drab, but has since been renovated and is now really pretty nice.

While I was in McHenry visiting my mom last March we ordered a pizza to be delivered to her assisted residence. Doesn’t matter how long we waited because it was one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten! I can’t wait to eat another one when I return at the end of the month! See you soon. Cate
