Great surprise to run across this gem of a place on our way back to Connecticut. Good food. Big portions. Good service. Smiling faces everywhere. Love the patriotic friendly atmosphere!

Plenty of parking when we arrived at the location. We were greeted upon entering the building. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast as well. Lots to choose from on their menu. Everything was cooked fresh to order. Big size portions. My wife and I couldn't finish all what we ordered. Will definitely return if we ever travel back in the area.

My favorite waitress, Laura was able to help us with the menu and save money. The food is excellent. I ordered the haddock, Ed had the shrimp and Marie had the scallops. All the food was cooked to perfection 🥰. We went again 5 days later and had a pint of scallops, clams and fried mushrooms. We were there around 3:33 pm. Laura came and sat with us to visit and share some about the business. I highly recommend this place. It's family friendly and everyone loves the atmosphere and great food. 👍

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Red Barn in Maine, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. One of the standout features of this establishment is the generous portions of food served. Whether you're a hearty eater or just looking for great value, you won't leave hungry.

Moreover, the staff at The Red Barn were incredibly friendly and accommodating. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. Their attentive service truly enhanced the overall dining experience.

Additionally, ample parking was available, making it convenient for diners to visit without worrying about finding a spot for their vehicle.

Overall, I highly recommend The Red Barn to anyone looking for delicious food, friendly service, and a comfortable dining atmosphere. It's a gem in Maine that shouldn't be missed.

I can't say enough about this place. Yes, I'm a "Person From Away," but we had to check this place out due to the high ratings, and I can fully say they are deserving. The food was awesome. We had the Lobster Roll and Fries Clam Strips. Everything tasted amazing, and the tarter sauce that we dipped the clam strips in had a great flavor. The service was awesome. Service with a smile! We ate inside, but the atmosphere was amazing, and outside, it was even better as people were getting ready to enjoy a night of music. I highly recommend this place if you are in Augusta. I can guarantee we'll be back before our vacation is over.

OMG! Best clam strips ever! We've had them all, and this place is our new favorite. First time visit, we ordered clam strips and haddock baskets. First lesson...we can share one basket next time. Plenty enough between the food and the fries. Dining area was very clean and well staffed. Plenty of parking...indoor and outdoor seating. Order came out quickly and was delicious. You have to ask for cocktail sauce if you want it, but its very good. We will be sure to plan on having lunch here next time we visit Augusta.

We had only one night in Maine this cross-country road trip, and lucked out that it was in Augusta where the Red Barn is! The lobster rolls were to-die-for! This family-run business has a wonderful commitment to the community as well. Strongly recommended!

A delicious option for a quick lunch.
Carol on register was welcoming and friendly. Joe, who was taking care of cleaning the tables, was pleasant and ensured the table was clean before yoi sat down.

All fold was made to order. We had the fried clam strip with French fries, Laura's famous seafood stew, and hamburger with onion rings. It's all hot and delicious.

They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The tables outside have umbrellas.

They honor the military. Have a beautiful dedication board. Little army folk sit atop a shelf and a sign say take one for those you remember.

Tourists come because they've heard. Locals come because they know. Veterans come because they are appreciated. I come because they helped my mom when she fell ill. We all come for the great food. This is a place that deserves your patronage. Get here.

This place was great! The chicken was moist and flavorful, the lobster roll was sooo fresh. The fried vegetables were something I'd never seen before, but we enjoyed them. We will definitely be back- our only criticism was the way they do their chicken sandwiches (basically nuggets on a bun) made it difficult to eat. Not sure if there is a reason for this vs a solid breast. I personally would have loved a few pickles on my sandwich but I could probably ask next time.

Certainly the most patriotic lobster roll I’ve eaten, and one of the best. I regret not trying the fried options, as they looked and smelled amazing… and come in amazing portions.

Stopped here on our way back from Bar Harbor. Fast and friendly service. Nice outdoor seating area with live music. Best fried whole belly clams and fried pickles I have ever had!

The fried seafood is delicious and they have free water, punch, hot coffee, and cold brew. The service was also great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was live music while we were there which was also very good. Can’t wait to go back and try their Whoopie Pie.

When in Maine a lobster roll is a MUST! Red Barn in Augusta has the friendliest service, massive portions, and a down home feel. I had a lobster roll with drawn butter and it was the best and meatiest lobster roll I've had in years. We also ordered a snack (lunch size) of fried clams, onion rings, and fried vegetables. The breading on everything didn't taste or feel super greasy, just a tender breading with light seasoning.

I can not recommend this place enough. We called ahead to make sure we could stop in with our semi truck since the lot is smaller and it seemed like they are a busy place. The gentleman who answered was reallly friendly and welcoming of our business which can be hard to come across when you drive a big rig. The food definitely lives up to the hype in the other reviews. Prices reflect the quality and freshness of the seafood so my wallet can't complain. We had the lobster roll, chowder, and clam strips. I honestly don't know how they could fit more seafood in the chowder, fantastic! The roll was full of nice sized lobster pieces and lightly dressed. The lobster really shined. The girl at counter was a super nice and fun to chat with. She went out of her way to find a sticker for me when I asked even though they were busy getting ready for the rush. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated with plenty of picnic tables outside. We hope to be back the next time we roll through.
