Scarborough Beach State Park

The most tranquil beach in the area, seems to be out of the way type of place not many tourists, beautiful stretch of beach loaded with small stones,shells and sand dollars. We will be back for sure. BTW its $10 per person for out of staters

I loved it here so much! This was my first ever beach experience, so I don't have much to compare it to, but it was the perfect beach for me. It was a busy beach, but not crowded or too populated. There is plenty of parking ($9 fee for non-resident adults).The ocean view is beautiful and there is also a tiny little island a little ways in the distance, which, for me, added to the view. I almost forgot, there was also a little burger food truck. I didnt get anything from there, but it smelled good. Although, I'm not sure if it is there permanently or not.

We live 10 miles away. There are many wonderful beaches in our area. But Scarborough Beach is our favorite. It’s pristine and quiet. Wonderful for a long walk listening to the waves.

Beautifully kept natural Maine splendor. Stopped here on the way through a long drive and I’m so glad we did. Small fee to enter ($10 for adults) and straight into ample parking in a main lot closer to the entrance and an overflow lot.

Extremely clean beach, beautiful waves, crystal clear water (with a healthy heap of seaweed .. this is Maine after all 😂) with stunning examples of Maine geology.

It was a beautiful day for the beach. The beach wasn't crowded so we could have our own space.

With the two kids I wish I had brought the wagon to pull all the stuff since you have to walk a bit from the parking lot to the beach.

Absolutely gorgeous, no pounding surf, gentle more like a lake but nice clean beach.

Me and my husband spend our midday in Scarborough beach. It’s very clean. Well behaved people. Great surroundings. There is a $8 fee per adult for non-residents but worth paying. Food vendors may be 2 or 3 off the beach.

A very nice hidden beach. Everyone hears about pine point or old orchard. Try this place. The waves seemed go to possibly surf.

Beautiful beach and park. The Cliff trail was a nice walk and well maintained.

Awesome spot for a day at the beach, bring your body board!! Parking is tight, so get there early. Line up on the side of the road until the gate opens.

What a great place to go to the beach for a day of lounging in the sun or surfing the big waves! The beach is large, pristine and generally free of seaweed/kelp. There are outhouses on the premises, a lifeguard on duty, a food truck for snacking, wifi and surfboard rentals too! I find it a bit price with $10 per adult and $7 for children. As pricey as it was for me it was money well spent! 🏖🌊🏄‍♀🏄‍♂

Waves were awesome. Nice clean beach. Guys at the gate we're helpful and polite. Lifeguards on duty so parents can relax. Food truck there was nice but super over priced. We will definitely be going back here again! But will most likely pack our own lunch.

This was a different kind of beach. Be ready to walk! There isn't really a place to sit and relax. It's more of a walking trail type beach. When you get to the end by the beach houses, it's beautiful!
