Cute, donut shop that's home to the POTATO DONUTS. The best way to explain them is that they are texturally denser, like a donut hole.

Great selection of flavors including seasonal 🍁 ones!

My favorite was the chocolate seasalt which is one of their staples that they have year-round.

My least favorite was the maple bacon. It was heavy on bacon and was too greasy tasting.

Fun experience with a different-than-usual donuts. Loved the seasonal selections of sweet potato, pumpkin type donuts and lattes. Awesome, hearty textured donuts with subtle but fantastic flavors. Lattes were not overly heavy or too sweet...well made and easy to drink.

Delightful! There are an array for flavors, triple berry, lemon blueberry, sweet potato coffee cake, maple bacon, etc. They offer a small selection of merchandise, including t-shirts and candles. The donuts are Maine potato donuts, which are a little heartier, but not too heavy. I would highly recommend! The service was also super friendly.

Very wide range of donuts. My go-to is chocolate glaze, chocolate coconut, or coconut. They also have cinnamon, blueberry, sugar and a combination of them in different varieties. They also have coffee available.

Unique donuts! Lavender flavour was my favorite. Cinnamon sugar and as good too! Must go place in Maine!!

I enjoyed the donuts overall ! I tried 3 different ones and if I didn’t know they were made with potatoes I couldn’t tell. I enjoyed the taste of the vanilla better than the original one but the original is still quite good.

Hands down the absolute best donuts I've ever experienced. This place is a favorite of my wife and I. We love to wake up early on a Saturday and head north, stopping here on our way to whatever Maine adventure we've planned. Anytime we have out of town visitors i go a grab a dozen for the crew...A few things to know: 1) the early bird gets the worm - for the best selection get in early. 2) they have amazing Vegan options. 3) for non vegans - try the bacon cheddar stuffed donut it is superb. This place is a must do!

Quick stop in the afternoon on the way back from Portland. Assortment was dwindling and the GF were sold out, but the selection was still tight!!! Toasted Coconut, Pomegranate, Sea Salt Chocolate just to name a few........ and Bacon, don't forget bacon.
Well worth the price and technically a vegetable with potatoes, right?

My brother and I were on a US road trip (Canada to Maine down to South Caroline and back to Canada through Detroit). We visited this place one morning, early in our trip. These donuts tasted weird at first, but I really ended ip liking them. They also added to the unique flavour of Maine.

I'm not a donut fan but someone said this was a must-do in Portland so we tried it and unfortunately it has started me in a donut obsession. Gluten doesn't love me but these donuts are apparently made from potato (??) and they are light, fluffy and full of flavor. The cinnamon one and the finger one are sooooo good. They last a day but after they they start to lose flavor. So eat them right away.

My favorite donuts I've ever had hands down. Maybe my favorite dessert even 🤔. Every single flavor is great! It's probably a good thing I don't live near here, or I would be coming at least 3x a week.

My mom came to visit me this weekend along with my nana and we got to stop by here. It was a very cute set up. The donuts were delicious and they even had vegan options for my mom! The flavors were very different but really good :) We tried the triple berry, toasted coconut, maple, and fresh lemon! We will definitely will be going back.

Awesome donuts and an all around great company. They use a unique dough made with potatoes that gives the donuts a dense and hearty quality I haven't found anywhere else. Holy Donut has several locations in the Portland area and the donuts are consistently fantastic at all of them, but the Rt. 1 location is the newest, nicest, and most spacious (also features a drive through). Chocolate sea salt is the go-to choice but they have a bunch of other flavors that are all great.

I've never had potato donuts before. But I have to say, I was impressed.
They staff were also professional! I'm here on vacation for the first time from Chicago. I wish we had this Donut shop there. They would not be able to keep me out of that place!

Holy moly! These donuts are a must try!
The staff is friendly and took their time to tell me their best sellers as we are from out of town. We tried the chai glazed (delicious!) and a pumpkin glazed (yummy)
If you are traveling to Maine, stop by any of their locations.

A huge fan of Holy Donut! You really can't go wrong with your donut selection. The chocolate sea salt here is their best year-round donut, hands down. While best eaten fresh, the chocolate sea salt also stays pretty fresh (stored in a container) until the following day. Definitely try their seasonal donuts! The apple caramel flavor was so, so good. I can't wait to go back and try one of their other fall flavors. This was my first time at this location and do plan ahead to go before 9 am! Also, use their drive-thru since they seem to have more staff dedicated for the drive-thru rather than the in-store purchases.

Always worth the wait! We drive 2 hours to get these donuts (one way). They are so fluffy and delicious. Not a donut person usually but these are just fabulous. Vegan and gluten free options! The iced tea is great and the coffee is good.

Idk what to say other than WOW. These aren’t your average New England coffee shop donut. They are surprisingly light for what they’re made out of. Love the amount of options for somebody who can’t have dairy.

We pre-ordered through their online system prior to pick up, but we went through the drive thru and got everything we ordered the way we liked it (2 iced coffees, 2 vegan donuts) - the donuts were wonderfully flavorful and had the perfect ratio of outer fried crust to inner moist dough, and the coffees were also wonderful! Online ordering was also super easy, and my husband had everything ordered and placed in ~ 5 minutes' time!

Great service and can get very busy but line moved quick. If you’re visiting Maine this is definitely something to add to your list to try. A large selection of donuts to meet anyone’s expectations
