Camp Ellis General Store & Lobster Pound

The re-opening of the General Store is the best thing that has happened to Camp Ellis in many years. The fresh food is excellent and the atmosphere of a real general store has been perfectly recreated. The amount of work the Smith family has invested is evident from the moment you walk in the door. It is a great place to just go and spend some time for coffee or a sandwich and the entire community has embraced them. Highest recommendation is well earned.

Fantastic local store and staff. Gentleman who took the order couldn’t be more polite and efficient. Sandwiches were great and a great beverage selection. And the lobster tank behind the register was great for the kids. Highly recommend.

These folks are so kind, we were there in the off season, and they were preparing to open. My mother was having a bout of acid reflux, and she needed to take her medication. We didn't have a drink with us, we stopped here to get one. The woman who was prepping to open for the season gave her a bottle of water for free, since they did not have a register up and running yet. This small act of kindness meant so much to us. I would shop here any time!

Wonderful spot run by great people! Everything they prepare is fresh and delicious. Love having the lobster pound there as well.

Stopped by for cinnamon rolls and coffee on a rainy morning. They were amazing! The shop itself was clean, organized, and had a nice selection of items to grab. We are so excited that it is back open and we have a store within walking distance. We will be back!

Stopped in multiple times while on vacation. Got some great muffins and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. A hot coffee and neighborly conversation with every visit. A+ service we will definitely make a point to stop in again. Hoping for some more camp store swag.

Just had the chance to visit the Camp Ellis General Store and Lobster Pound. Wowzah! The place is transformed!! It’s absolutely beautiful and every detail of the store seems upgraded with fresh products and a positive, homey vibe. It was so great to see Kim and Ray greeting folks and making everyone feel welcome. Good people doing something good in this little community!

Kim and her family are so welcoming. The store looks amazing, has convenience items that might’ve got left at home while packing to visit, and has delicious sandwiches, cinnamon buns and coffee. A perfect place to stop into.

New management in 2023, MAJOR improvement! Great beach town vibe. Off to a great start, owner constantly improving selection. The breakfast cinnamon buns are sinfully good.

Great new owners! My family has been coming to Ocean Park/Camp Ellis for 4 generations and we are always keen to give the local establishments business. We must have had 10+ lobster rolls over a long weekend because we kept coming back for more. The quality and quantity of food for the price is the best in all of Camp Ellis. You can tell the chef/owner has a passion for food and isn't just slapping a few ingredients into a bun.

I read the previous reviews before coming (I rely on reviews when I travel), and feel like a few disgruntled folks must have had a bad experience. I cannot imagine the owners that I met providing anything less than a stellar customer service experience.

If you are in the area as a local or tourist, give the place a try! I know I will make a stop each time I return to the area.

It’s so nice to have a place in the neighborhood with reliable hours! Love being able to stop in and pick up those last minute items that I don’t want to have to drive all the way up town for!

Great little store. Owner is extremely friendly and very accommodating. They have a variety of items and anything you may have left at home. The lobster roll is AWESOME! It’s cheaper than any place in the area and you get a TON of lobster. I will definitely be back for another one.

Can’t wait for the Bistro to open. They’re planning on minimal fried foods which is a great change of pace from every other place who’s menu is heavy in the battered fried food.

Funky little store. Owners are nice. Ate there several time during my stay. Best Lobster Roll in the Ferry Beach area, hands down.

Great Service and wonderful food. The New owners are a great addition to Camp Ellis and the Italian Bistro sandwich is out of this world. Can't wait to go back and get some good food.

The Bistro Italian is delicious! I have one almost every day for lunch and the new owners are extremely nice and go out of their way to help you. I highly recommend going down and trying one of their italians!

OUTSTANDING family run business with many options for those on the run, or want to sit with a cup of coffee and breakfast! Highly recommended!!!

I love this place… i stop in every morning before work and grab sour cream and onion pringles and i get treated like a king every time!
