Stayed Thursday 9/1 to 9/5 over Labor Day Weekend. The campground is conveniently located in Bar Harbor. The campsites are really nice. The staff are knowledgeable, very nice &friendly and super helpful. The bathrooms were very clean and the laundry facilities are adequate and only $2 for the washer and $2 for the dryer. They offer rolls of quarters at the reception desk. The views are picturesque over looking the Mt Desert Narrows Bay. They have free bus service to all the areas you want to go. We preferred to drive. Parking was never an issue. As for the other reviewers complaining about the price... you get what you pay for... Bar Harbor Campground is way overrated and it may be cheap, that's exactly what you're getting... cheap, poor service and an uncomfortable stay.
We stayed for 4 nights in a 37ft class A and our site, #129, was spacious, a full hook up and had direct views of the waterfront. They have any kind of site to match your preferences. We have traveled in our motorhome over 10,000 miles in the last 18 months over the entire Eastern third of the country from Florida and we have fairly high expectations....this place met our expectations.

Friendly people. Nice campsites. Very convenient to catch FREE buses into and around Acadia National Park. No need to drive and search for parking. Take the bus! It's a no-brainer. Stress free touring!
Staff suggested local laid back eateries. I would stay again.

As first time RV campers, we were delighted with this camp ground. The campground was clean and well maintained, the employees were friendly and helpful. We are especially thankful for the help from an employee (young girl whose name we don’t know) that helped us with emptying our gray and black water tanks.Thank you, again! Kindness and service like this from a camp ground staff that went out of her way to help should be appreciated.
We look forward to camping here again in the future!

Great location, so close to Bar Harbor and Acadia national park! Our pull thru site was very nice, a few power problems but I'm sure they will have them all fixed up by high season. The laundry was mediocre but got the job done. The view of the Narrows is stunning.

Loved this campground. All the campgrounds within Acadia were all booked up so we ended up staying here. We got a spot right on the water with a view of the Osprey nest right across the water. The oceanside sites are 100% worth the extra money, especially if you love bird watching. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. I loved that the showers were located outside of the bathrooms and had sufficient privacy and space. The water does take quite some time to heat up but there’s signage to let you know ahead of time and it was honestly too hot outside for me to care.

Manddi really is the heartbeat of this campground. She is the go-to person if you have a question or problem. She takes pride in her job and genuinely cares for the campground and people camping. We will definitely be back knowing she is there.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds I have ever stayed at. Everyone is friendly, great location, and it’s good to have showers, toilets, and water that is accessible. The pool and playground for kids is a cool bonus.

Absolutely loved this location, we were close to Acadia, Cadillac Mountain, Bar Harbor, even an animal hospital (we had to get medicine for our dog)Well kept, quiet, owners were so helpful. Our neighbors had 2 huge dogs, but they were quiet, and well trained( the dogs)our neighbors were the best. Definitely come here if you're in the area.

Staying at this campground while exploring Acadia Maine. Nice campground, pretty decent sites. Most sites are roomy, some have all hookups, some only electric&water. They do have several dump stations and a honey wagon that comes around twice a week for a fee. There are some sites that are fairly close to each other, sites 30, 31,32 are good examples but for the most part, it's a really nice campground. The staff rotates throughout the year, very friendly people!
Laundry, arcade, pool, playground, ocean that you can walk down to and go paddle boarding, kayaking or canoeing. Even swimming if you can deal with the temp.. Kid friendly. Nice firepit at each site. Pretty decent access to the main road. The sunsets you can get here are fantastic!!
We'll come again.

We stayed here in early June, out of season. The staff are really friendly and they keep the campground immaculate. Showers were alway clean, sunsets gorgeous. We saw the resident bald eagle while using the reasonably rented kayaks available at the campground. We biked the country backroads to Acadia’s carriage roads and Bar Harbor everyday. We have old school mountain bikes but lots of people were using ebikes.

This campground is great. We stay here every year. It’s right on the water and only 20 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia. There is very little light pollution so stargazing is great. We will continue to return yearly!

My wife and I have been coming here every summer for over 20 years and we love it here. We've always been treated well here and there is alot to do. The amenities are comfortable and the camp store, laundry and swimming pool are great to have available.

I've been coming here for several years with a large group of people for several years now and the camp staff have always been friendly and accommodating. Some people complain about mosquitoes and mud, but it's camping in Maine - it's going to rain and there are going to be mosquitoes! They don't control nature. The water supply and showers could use some work, but it's on par with other campsites I've been to in the area. It's camping, not a hotel.

Great staff all around. We had an issue with my truck and we would have to potentially stay a week or more longer before getting it fixed. They ended up helping us get arrangements made to stay at the campground longer. The whole experience has been a 5 out of 5 and thank you to the whole campground for everything that you've done for us!

Mt desert narrows is a great campground. They have a pool, arcade, clean showers, great staff! All the staff are very nice! They have a store with essentials. It’s on the ocean, you can’t swim there but it’s a nice view. The happy clam is across the street check that out too.

Great RV campground with full hookup (water, electric, and sewer) spots available. Nice location right on the north side of Mount Desert Island. Only about a 15 minute drive from Bar Harbor or 20 minutes to the middle of Acadia National Park.
