The Parker House Restaurant, Cottages, and Motel

Parker House for breakfast this morning. Never fails to exceed our expectations! Food was fantastic as always. So happy to see familiar faces and enjoy more coffee than should be legal. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Has us coming back again and again.

Went here for breakfast for the very first time and it was great. Super clean place, very quick with the food and it was delicious. The servers are also extremely nice. Probably the best breakfast in the area so check it out. Be careful with your order because they load up the plates!

The Parker House restaurant gets 5 stars from me for their fantastic staff and wonderful breakfasts! Sometimes we have to put our name in and wait because it’s very popular but the friendly staff always greets you and lets you know they will seat you as fast as they can. The restaurant and lodgings are on Long Lake with beautiful surroundings. Thumbs up! 👍

Wow! Just wow. Some of the nicest people serving the best food you can find anywhere. The gourmet grill cheese was amazing as well as the western burger. I wish we lived in the area as there are many items I'd love to try such as the Irish nachos. Best coffee I've had on this trip by far...
They have breakfast also!

Very nice place over looking the water. Food was perfect! The homemade bread "sunflower toast" was so tastey!

We were there a week ago and this family was really rude to the sweet girl at the ice cream parlor. She kindly asked them to make room for the line of people still needing to order and they pitched a fit. She dealt with them very professionally.

The ice cream is great. The breakfast is the best. 5 stars only because they won’t let me leave 6.

This was our first meal at The Parker House, and we could not have been more pleased. The breakfast quality surpassed anything in Alpena, and justified the price.

Great stop up North. Seasonal, and after four on many days. But worth the stop for a nice meal between Alpena and Roger City.

A great place for breakfast and lunch. The upgrades made in the last couple years have made this place even better.

I had the Parker House Club today, and it was delicious and hearty. All meals are hearty, and you won't leave wanting more with the portions that are given.

Best breakfast around. Almost everything is homemade! Love the corned beef hash!

Cool place, quiet, nice. Water in the room has a pretty strong sulphur smell which you just can't get used to when showering.

I stayed here about 5 years ago and said that I wouldn't stay there again because of the previous owners had let it go. Thankfully, the updates that the new owners have made since then have been great and made this place my go-to. The room I stayed in was good enough for 1-2 people. There are different size cabins for the number of people you have. The restaurant was only open on the weekends, since it wasn't their busy season but I did get to eat there on the Sunday I had checked in. My sandwich and fries were very good. If they were open during my whole stay, I wouldn't have ever needed to go into town. I came to Alpena to do some smallmouth bass fishing. Long Lake is my preferred lake to fish up there and The Parker House is where I'll be staying when I come back up!

There are not enough stars for this location. The owners, Wayne and Karen are truly blessings to this earth and the work they have put into this resort is evident. The cabins are beautiful, the restaurant is amazing (they make everything from scratch!) and Long Lake is heaven on earth!

Food fantastic and quick. We just got the basic eggs, toast, meat and potatoes but everything hot and fast and cooked right. Great place for breakfast. Place is now blue and industrial on the inside. Kinda miss the knotty pine but it is fresh and appealing.

They are part way through a complete remodel, and things are looking great. Like like they revamped the menu, slightly bigger prices but portions are HUGE. Got their Eggs Benedict and their homemade hollandaise sauce was real solid. Highly recommend a visit, even if you stopped by before the remodel.

Monday night dinner was amazing and the dessert ...chocolate paradise is fantastic! Thanks to the wonderful staff at Parker House!
