Yen King

This place is a hidden gem! We loved the Pu Pu Platter (for two). It had a good amount of options to try. I highly recommend it.

We tried the Yen King Chicken (amazing - slightly spicy), Princess Chicken (similar to Kungpao but so much better), and Moo Shui Chicken (best dish! Goes best with fried rice and no pancakes).

Overall, a great dinner place! Highly recommend it!

This place has a very cozy atmosphere. The food and drinks were quick and the food was delicious. I had the potstickers and an egg roll. The tried the love potion drink and if you like bananas I definitely recommend 👌

Great place. Walked from where I was staying, put in my order in person, and was out in 15 minutes. When I was there, the dining room was open. Beautiful sculptures. Very good food. The Almond Boneless was one of the best I've had. Nice portion. Good price. Glad I stopped in.

Used to get takeout here a lot and loved it. Went tonight and still loved it! Food is amazing, service is amazing (the server placed our leftovers in our boxes for us, like restaurants used to do), the music was pleasant, location is convenient yet in a quiet area.

Great food, quick and friendly service, nice dining area! Mongolian beef serving size was a little small… but good. Would definitely return.

We ate our evening meal. Had more then enough to have a whole other meal. Our order was taken quickly and the food was hot and delicious. My husband had the sweet and sour chicken. Nice big chunks of breaded chicken. Breading was very crispy. I had green onion beef. Tender pieces of beef strips on top onion greens. We will definitely return and would recommend it.
5/23/2019 moved to Florida. We made time to stop and have supper with the family. Our waiter was very attentive. So glad to visit again.

Was looking for a place with good food and where we could dine in. Well, Yen King is a winner! Excellent menu and great service. A little pricey but well worth it. Definitely a new go to place!!

Yen King is a favorite of the Japanese staff I support at TAC Manufacturing, so I've had the opportunity to eat there a number of times. The food is fresh and delicious and there is an excellent selection of alcoholic beverages. The owner always remembers what my Japanese coworkers like and treats the whole party like special guests. I'm vegan, so I typically get mapo tofu and/or fried vegetables, but I know my coworkers really love the Yen King steak, shrimp fried rice, Singapore-style noodles, and others. I would definitely say that Yen King is one of the tastiest Chinese restaurants I've been to in Michigan!

Love this place. When I am in the mood for Chinese food, this is always my favorite choice. I've been getting awesome food and service for the last 30+ years.

Pu Lu platter was special and delicious. Service was fantastic despite us arriving at a very busy time. Princess chicken was the best we have had.

Family favorite! Party of 5. Seated quickly. Friendly service. Recommendations: Almond boneless chicken, sweet and sour chicken and Mongolian beef. Enjoy.

Very lucky to have Yen King in Jackson. It’s simply on another level compared to other local Chinese food options. I’m actually salivating thinking about the hot and sour soup. Nice that they have a full bar too and a few asian imported beers. Inside the restaurant is a bit dull but kind of adds to the charm.

The tofu and mushrooms dish is excellent. Tofu is fried perfectly with a nice brown sauce.

This is the real deal. Great food. Great service. Chun was very attentive our entire visit. Best in Jackson!

This is the best Chinese food I have ever had! We always order online and pick up, I have never had any issues with my orders. I accidentally ordered BBQ chicken instead of beef and now that is my favorite appetizer! I appreciate the quality of food they serve and have never felt that the dishes were too small. I have been eating here once a week for 3 years now, it is consistently delicious!

Love this place! When you ask for spicy they give you spicy!
A bit more expensive but the food is worth it! They have never gotten an order of ours wrong and the food is always fresh. Love it, and the only place I will go to for general tso’s !!

Always good food here! The hot and sour soup is the best I've had anywhere! This is a locally owned business and they've been in business over 30 years {since 1985). I've had almost everything on the menu and never been disappointed.
