The Lowry Cafe

Went for breakfast on a Sunday because we just happened to be over here. The food was great, the service was quick and kind despite being in the heart of a Sunday rush. There’s local artists’ art on the wall, some of it for sale. I like that they have both turkey and pork bacon and gravy. We will definitely be back!

I love it here! Hands down the best cafe in North Minneapolis. I always get the Corned Beef Hash Super Food Skillet with Rye toast. Sooooo yummy and packed with veggies 🥕

They also have a great miel with almond milk. They add cayenne and cinnamon on top!

It's a very light, airy space with huge windows and plentiful seating. Service was pretty quick overall. I ordered the Waffle Burger and my initial enthusiasm for the novelty was very slightly dampened by how soggy the bottom was. Having said that, the burger was prepared well and it tastes pretty dang good on a waffle! My partner ordered the steak and eggs, and I believe it was the largest cut of steak I've ever seen with breakfast! I feel this is a really quality neighborhood establishment, and I'm definitely eating here again.

I live in the neighborhood, so I order here a lot. I also deliver doordash orders from here a lot - it's a popular spot for good reason. The pancakes and waffles are bomb! The burger is one of the best in the city. I love the sweet potato fries!

I've probably been to the Lowry a hundred times and I love it more each time I go. The food and coffee are delicious, although I admit there aren't many choices for vegans which is the only bummer for me, but the fact that I still love eating there may be all the proof needed that it's a truly wonderful place to go!
On top of all that, they even have parking! Highly HIGHLY recommend - if you're looking for a great place for breakfast then DEFINITELY try the Lowry!

Great place. Some traditional breakfast and some items they created. All good. Very good coffee and items you didn't find all over like miel. People were great.

Haven't been here in years. Decided to drop in. The service and the food were awesome 😋. My sister and I both had the create your own skillet. Left there satisfied and full. Want a great hot meal, go here. We will be back😋😋🥰

Nice little cafe in North Minneapolis. I had the French toast and bacon, my wife had the Ranchero skillet, and we both had coffee. Both of us were extremely happy with our meals.

The cinnamon French toast (no raisins) was the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the bacon had a delicious flavor. I think some people would prefer the bacon more crispy, but I loved it as is. The Ranchero skillet comes with salsa and this is not white people Minnesota salsa, this is real salsa with a kick (in a great way). Wife had sourdough toast and said it was surprisingly good as well.

We were pleasantly surprised that they had decaf coffee brewed already and so there was no delay. Coffee has a robust flavor, so I personally needed a little extra milk/sugar, but it's tasty and their mugs are a lovely shape.

A little chilly and drafty in a window booth, but nice reggae music playing, cool art on the walls, and solid service. All in all, highly recommend!

I love this place and I take every opportunity to bring in friends and family. The people are exceptional and the food is delicious. They also have some great local art.

My husband and I love this place! It's been a favorite since we moved to Brooklyn Center a few years back. I love the atmosphere: the natural light, fun music, kind staff. I always get the Ranchero Skillet, eggs over medium, substitute bacon instead of sausage, and wheat toast. I usually get coffee too, always a good choice. My husband rotates between the breakfast and lunch menus, and has never disliked anything he's had. The caramel roll is good, and one time they had a special cream cheese caramel roll thing that was to die for! Special shout out to the blonde waitress with the long, funky feather earrings- I don't know if she's the owner or just really loves her job, but she's always the best and is extremely friendly!

Waffles are very tasty!!! Superfood skillet is my jam, healthy and tasty!!! Great tea. Nice staff. Great local art on the walls. Norfside favorite!!!

Fantastic local diner that does the basics well and adds flair like house-made corned beef, throwback malts, and generous toast options.

The atmosphere is great, super clean, open, and decorated very nicely!
The food was so good!! My husband had the Jordan...the pancake was huuuge...and I got the Corned Beef Hash Super Food Skillet (with shaved Brussel sprouts, kale, cabbage, and other veggies)...it was amazing!
And the prices are fair!

I've never had anything less than a great experience with staff, food, vibe, anything.
There's usually good music playing, smiling people and killer breakfast foods.
I'm sure the other food is great as well and I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu

First off I would like to acknowledge the loving, friendly staff experience I had. Rouuisha and Yusef gave me the greatest first time experience at The Lowry Cafe. Rouuisha ... I really appreciated and loved her customer service. She has a heart for what she does when it comes to making people feel welcomed. I will be back very soon just because of her and the great experience Rouuisha and Yusef presented me with.

Service was terrible, but don't let that stop you! The waffle burger was amazing! Fresh fruit was perfect and crisp. Delicious coffee at half the cost of Starbucks. Atmosphere is a 90's coffee shop vibe. Wait staff was confused and not very attentive, but the manager (owner maybe?) was on top of everything.

I had an hour to kill and ended up here based on proximity to my appt.

What a nice experience. Parking lot is big and right next to the restaurant. Sat at the bar as they were busy had a large group as well. Lots of energy and the employees were really busting their butts. Super fast service and they even snuck my order in before the big group, which was nice of them. Had the breakfast sandwich and would get it again!!

Good food and coffee. I recommend the chicken strips. Music is not loud. A good place to share something with friends.
