Amazing work by Von Companies on the finishing of my basement. Tom and Jake helped me every step of the way and got everything scheduled and completed ahead of schedule and with a high degree of quality. They always would clean up the work area after they were done and the people who came to work on my basement were always friendly and accommodating. I am super happy that I went with this company and look forward to work with them in the future! I have been enjoying my newly finished basement!

Von Companies LLC did an awesome job on my roof and siding from a hail damage claim in Becker Minnesota. They staff had to deal with my insurance adjusters several times, and we came to an agreement for work to be completed. The staff and owner of Von Companies LLC went out of their way to make sure I understood and agreed with all issues and work. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for construction contractors, jobs big or small.

I had some storm damage on two of my rentals, and decided to use VonCompanies. They were very detailed oriented and dealt well with my insurance company. I was worried about doing work with these out of town contractors knocking on my door, as warranty work may be tricky. VonCompanies is locally in MN. Both houses turned out great, and my cousin also had storm repair work done. Highly recommended!!!

We had flooring, countertops, and a butler's pantry put in. Everyone was great to deal with. Jake was fantastic communication, and got back to us quickly with any questions we had. Will definitely be using again for future projects.

We recently set out to finish our basement - it’s a small area, so the project wasn’t very big - we ended up with a laundry room, a full size bathroom, a small office, a small storage space, and a small living space. When we were looking for a company to work with, we wanted someone local and preferably not a large corporate business. One of our first three choices for quotes was Von Companies and it quickly became our preferred choice.

Von Companies was a great group of people to work with every step of the way. They were responsive from the very beginning and didn’t treat our small project like it wasn’t a priority. We had two other companies come out for quotes - one of which was another small, local company and the other was a larger, local company. Neither were as responsive, nor did they seem to care about our budget and timeline.

The choice was easy with Von Companies, they were upfront about pricing, timing, and made us feel comfortable about moving forward with our project. They instantly made us feel like we were part of their family. We had similar interactions with each contractor that Von Companies worked with was well.

Our basement was finished within our time frame, slightly above budget (but that was my fault - I made a few changes along the way), and looks better than we could have imagined.

And the part that really makes us feel good about our choice is that they still check in from time to time to not only make sure everything still looks good, but also to just check in on us. We will be using them again for our next home project.

From the very beginning, Von Companies was very responsive, from the initial contact with Tom and Griffin until the end of the job and the cleanup was done. We were looking to have our siding replaced and several windows and doors installed. They came out and gave me an estimate and told me the date that they could start. The materials showed up on time, and their highly skilled crew was onsite when they said they would be. They kept me informed of any issues and all the work they did on our house was exceptional and done in a timely fashion. The siding and windows and doors look great! I would highly recommend them and will definitely contact them again the next time I need work done on my house.

We were going to do a large project on our house, and had Von Companies come out and give us a quote. Although we did not end up doing the project (with anyone), the team at Von Companies was extremely focused on a positive customer interaction. We went through the design process and quoting process with them.
Their timeliness to respond to requests was great, their professional attitude was great, and overall decent people to work with. Griffin is the Sales Manager, and he did everything he said he was going to do, ON TIME! When I told Griffin we would not be moving forward with the project, he was extremely professional and understood our reasoning for that decision. Very low pressure sales and gives the customer all of the correct information to make the correct decision. I highly recommend reaching out to them.

This team was clear and creative in the estimating process, responsive and flexible in the build process, and all subcontractors that came through were respectful. Tom clearly has a vast network of people he works with to get competitive pricing and Griffin was excellent with project management and communication. They managed the project within our budget despite a tedious permitting process and some small changes to scope. 5/5 you can’t go wrong with Von!

I love my 3 Season Porch. From the time I received the bid, until it was cleaned and ready for me to move in, the communication was open and professional. We had weekly telecons at a designated time, to review what had been done, and what and when the next step would be. The Project Managers were always pleasant and professional. The project stayed within the estimated bid and was completed within the given timeline. I would highly recommend Von Companies.

We hired Von Companies for a modern remodel of our townhome. We worked with Tom and Griffin and they were extremely knowledgeable in guiding us through the process from start to finish. They were able to connect us with local vendors to select our remodel designs and details. They gave us a realistic timeline of the project and were able to meet our desired move in date. Highly recommended. Von Companies helped us restore our kitchen and lower-level family room after water damage. They worked with the insurance claims adjuster to settle on the repairs and offered creative solutions to make the best use of the insurance proceeds. Tom and Griffin were outstanding – they were professional, responsive, thorough, and really cared about our project (even through it was smaller than most). Their team of subcontractors were skilled and did exceptional work. We are thrilled to have our house back – and now it’s better than it was before the water damage! I would work them again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I had a bedroom, woodworking shop, exercise room and bathroom built in our unfinished basement. Griffin, Tom and Jake were amazing from start to finish. We had never done any building or remodeling, but they made the whole process painless. They did such a great job guiding us through all the design decisions and then did such a high quality job every step of the way. They were honest, transparent and efficient through the whole process. In addition, they built our deck and an entertainment system. Everything was done in a timely fashion and they followed through on everything they had promised. If we ever have family, friends or even ourselves needing any type of construction/remodeling, we would not look anywhere else. We were even sorry to see them finish because we enjoyed our interactions with them so much!

We contracted with Von Companies in February 2020 to remodel our 1950’s St Louis Park rambler. The project included the complete gutting of the home and replacement of all utilities, drywall, flooring, and fixtures. From the beginning, the contractor was ahead of schedule, starting demo a few days early and ultimately moving us back into our home 5 weeks early. We appreciated the ease of access to our project team, which included Tom (the owner), Griffin (the jack of all trades), and Jake (the project manager), who were never more than a phone call away. Like any construction project, there were bumps in the road along the way, but we were extremely impressed by the responsiveness and ownership the team would take to get things rectified immediately. We have already recommended Von Companies to several of our friends and family members and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, hardworking, responsive, and skilled home remodeling company. Overall, we are very pleased with the craftsmanship and beauty of our newly remodeled home.

The Von team is great to work with. They were willing to take on a project another contractor had abandoned, were attentive and thorough at every step of the process, and were more than willing to iterate and be flexible to ensure we had a plan that worked for both us and them. We were very pleased with the craftsmanship and the layout of our master bathroom remodel. It was a large bathroom but the original design did not use the space wisely. Tom was able to redesign the bathroom to meet our needs including a larger shower, beautiful vanity and linen closet. Most importantly it was done within our budget in a timely and professional manner. We were so pleased with the first project he has been back to do another bathroom, and update our kitchen.
