We have a ton of projects (indoor and outdoor) that we've been dragging our feet on and needed to finally hire an electrician. A neighbor recommended Norske and I'm so glad we called them. Patrick was on time, professional, friendly and super informative. I felt like I was getting a mini-lesson in electric. :) He took time working up all our quotes for the different projects and explained the cost breakdown and different ways they could problem solve. He then took time to start on a couple of them that day; fixing a light in our laundry room and installing new fixtures throughout the house. We're super excited for the future projects we have planned with Norske (installing a hot tub circuit, replacing outdoor outlets and outdoor lighting!)

Having a ceiling fan was always a luxury we experienced on vacation. We never thought the process would be as easy or as affordable as Brevik and his team made it. The electricians were punctual, courteous, efficient and tidy. I was shocked at how quickly they completed the job and how simple the inquiry and billing stages were. I highly recommend Norske Electric and will be using them again for our next project.

I don't know which Norske Electric location Finch is based out of but he was fantastic. He explains what he's doing, he's very knowledgeable, and there was no push to have work done that we didn't need. Pricing was all very transparent. Even though we originally requested one project done once Finch arrived at our place we asked him about several other things that needed to be looked at. He was awesome about staying late and addressing all of our requests that night rather than come back another time. Thank you, Finch! We'll be recommending you to others!

We had lots of electrical work done in our house back in 2021 by another company. They were very expensive but we thought "you get what you pay for" and they said "we 100% guarantee our work." We were talked into doing more than we originally intended. We ended installing 2 ceiling fans, electrical panel box, fire detectors, and upgraded lighting around the house. We wanted Home Depot lights but the company assured us their lights were the best. We immediately had issues with the panel lights that were installed in our basement (ringing noise) and the company wouldn't fix or replace them even thought they just installed them. The electrician said if we wanted a replacement we needed to pay again for the replacement. Then one panel in our upper level started flickering and when we called them to come fix it but they wouldn't return calls. We decided we had to live with it because of the cost of dealing with it if we went to another electrician. The flickering eventually turned into a strobe light and we stopped using the room during the evening until we couldn't avoid it anymore. We finally called out Norske Electric and their electrician immediately diagnosed and fixed the issue, plus he didn't engage in any high pressure sales whatsoever nor did the company charge outrageous fees for the work. He felt badly for us that the warranty on work wasn't being honored. I really wish I had known about this company in 2021. I will be using Norske for all electrical work in the future. Thank you Steve (electrician) for being so respectful and helpful.

Electrician was timely, acted professionally, identified problems and was able to provide an explanation of the issues. Two of the three were addressed and the 3rd was not fixable at this time. Satisfied with work. That being said cost for less than 60 minutes of work was very high. In addition, company was suppose to follow-up on third issue from August 28 visit and to date no response.

***I have subsequently changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars. General Manager reached out early morning the day after (on a Saturday) my initial review to discuss my concerns. After hearing my thoughts on pricing he adjusted the charges to what I believe is fair and reasonable. He also acknowledged they failed to follow-up on third issue and apologized. He committed to address the issue himself and has now done so in a timely and thorough manner. Based on how they handled my concerns and the quality of the initial work I would utilize them for any future needs. I am very impressed on how they handled this situation. Well done!

TIMELINESS:
Lead time was about two weeks. My issue was not an emergency so this was fine.
Rep arrived within the scheduled 3hr service window, I got a text with their name and photo when they were 15 min out.

PROFESSIONALISM:
Rep was polite and friendly, gave me the option to follow 'em around or let them do their thing. They talked me through what was likely going on and gave several options to fix it. Offered some extras as well, but wasn't too pushy on sales.

WAS MY ISSUE SOLVED?
Yes. Rep was able to diagnose and repair the cause of the weird elec behavior in my living room (melted/corroded socket), and also noticed the outlet servicing my washer/dryer was not code compliant and replaced that as well.

BONUS CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE:
Rep noticed a shattered outlet cover while working and replaced it without me having to ask, at no charge.

OVERALL:
Satisfied with my experience, overall cost was ~$400 for full-home inspection, parts, labor, tax.

I own a small commercial building in Burnsville and needed help with failed heated downspouts. With nasty cold and heavy snow coming, waiting for a fix wasn't a good option and all my electrician guys were busy, including Norske. But when Brevik heard the issue and felt a solution would be quick, he dispatched Steve the very next morning after a massive storm. Quick fix. Very affordable. It's great to find a good connection when you need one.

We live in a 1950's house where a number of rooms don't have ceiling light fixtures, and this has always bugged us, in one room in particular. After getting bids from a few electricians, we decide to work with Norske to add a ceiling light fixture, and it was a great choice. Their price was very fair, the electricians were polite, quick and professional, and the word was great. They managed to get a ceiling light fixture installed where there hadn't been one previously, and they didn't cut into the drywall on walls or the ceiling at all (except where the fixture went, or course)! I'm still not sure how they managed to do that. We were prepared to do some drywall patching and repainting, and it wasn't needed. The work was done quickly, and the guys cleaned up really well when they were done. I would highly recommend, and will be calling them first anytime we need electrical work in the future.

Brevik and Norske Electric are FANTASTIC! Highly recommend them! Have had them out for a couple of breaker issues and they are quick, fair on price and responsive. Have also called with other issues and rather than just take my money for something simple, Brevik suggested how to make a simple repair/adjustment saving him valuable time (over something so simple) and me a few $$$. Not too many service providers will do this which makes these guys the best! Will absolutely recommend and use for all of our electric needs!

If you are looking for an excellent electrician, look no further. I have been impressed with Brevik and his team, so much that I signed up for google to be able to review. He is extremely responsive, reasonably priced and all his staff have been on time and very friendly. He was even able to accommodate my unreasonable request to have someone come move an outlet on one days notice. I 100% recommend Norske Electric!

We recently used Norske Electric to install a bathroom fan and 3 chandeliers in our 1947 Minneapolis home. Brevik was extremely responsive when I requested a quote. Although the appointment needed to be booked a month out (all professions/tradespeople are very busy right now), I am glad that we used Norske Electric. Brevik and his crew provided lighting solutions for our kitchen. We were looking for high end quality lighting. I received 3 quotes and Brevik was actually slightly more expensive however he was very knowledgeable and was able to educate. We were very discerning customers. His crew were courteous and took extremely good care of our new surroundings. I highly recommend. Especially when you are looking for the best. Very responsive also.

I called multiple electricians to do work at my house, and Norske was the only one professional enough to return the call. Though their schedule was full, Brevik worked me in very quickly. The work was completed in a lot less time than anticipated, done right, and cost me less than what I had budgeted. Tyler and Tim were very courteous, and it was obvious they are experts. I just stayed out of the way and let them do their thing. I now have a "go to" electrician which I fully endorse!

Fast, friendly, fair prices! Top notch customer service. They called and asked if they could come a day early as they finished another job close by. They were in and out in 30 minutes. They moved a light fixture and inspected our electrical panel.

Brevik went above and beyond to help us during our move to correct an electric panel per a home inspection. He scheduled someone the very next day and did this well after business hours, into the late hours of the night. Norske was their the very next day to install the new circuit breaker panel, ready for inspection the very next day by the electrical inspector. Late yesterday evening I requested a quote from 3 electricians on Angi’s to repair my fluorescent light fixture, preferably to bypass the failed ballast and allow me to use a new LED tube. Brevik at Norske Electric replied in less than two hours — just before midnight. His first available opening wasn’t until January, but since my problem was pretty simple, he offered to provide me some guidance by phone/photo if I was able to DIY. We exchanged a couple of texts and we talked by phone for about 5 minutes. Because of his expert help, I was easily able to make the repair myself. Brevik went way “above and beyond” to help me solve my problem without any charge. I would certainly trust Brevik and Norske Electric to handle all of my electric repair needs in the future.

I needed some home electric work done and I had no idea who to call? I did some research and Norske Electric had some great reviews so I plugged in my email request for a free bid. I received a quote quickly. I waited a day to hear back from other electricians I called - unfortunately no other business responded. Norske Electric was able to fit me in right away. Bill was the electrician who came to our home. He was super polite, professional and kind. It can be nerve wracking having strangers in your home, so his professionalism really mattered to me. Bill did a wonderful job with the all the projects. Norske Electric left a wonderful impression on me.

It was about 94 degrees when my electricity went out (thanks to my window AC units). I called 25-30 electricians in the twin cities area and all said they were too busy unless I wanted to pay $250+ just to have someone come out to my condo after 5pm. I received a call back from Brevik, from Norske, who had me walk through my situation over the phone and he was able to give me instructions on how to get my electricity working again. Brevik told me what to buy, what to do, and even offered to FaceTime me to help walk me through it. I couldn’t believe how willing he was to help me. I would recommend Norske to anyone!

Brevik and his team were amazing. Had my 1960’s one story rambler upgraded a bit. Replaced industrial looking florescent lights in my basement with some standard flush mounted lights. I received other bids which made the job sound really complicated. Brevik had a simple solution that worked in other homes and worked great in mine too. Added a ceiling fan to my bedroom which didn’t have a light on the ceiling in the past.

I appreciate that the communication was really simple, done via Angie’s list and email. Everything was done timely.

His team did a great job cleaning up when complete. I’d highly recommend Norske electric.
