One of the best places to check first. Stop in and look for Ruben to set you up. Also have pretty decent lumber selection and good masonry supplies.

Everyone was really nice and super smooth U-Haul rental process, had everything ready to go and helped us find the right sized ball hitch and everything! 10/10 I love this little place!

Just discovered this hardware store and it's a corker. Unlike the big box stores like HD and Lowes they actually have a great selection of hard-to-find hardware like stainless! Everyone from the owner Rubin and the staff (especially Lindsey) were very knowledgeable, helpful and nice. I now have a place I can count on and wander around for an endless array of hardware, gardening and building materials! 5 stars and free parking right at the front of the store! Try them if you need something unusual where the big box stores just can't cut it! If you don’t see it, they will quickly order it for you with only a couple days delay. Supports local business too! Give it a try and you won’t retreat it!

I needed a bladder tank, priced at HD and AH&GC. Alton a small helpful independent Hardware store beat HD by about 30%. Every time I go to Alton Home & Garden the owner and employees are ready and willing to assist. Please patronize this institution rather than feeding the corporate giants. You'll be glad you did, while supporting your local economy.

I have been a customer since dropping off my U-Haul rentals when we moved here back in December of 2020. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable and they have a good inventory which includes glass cutting, and propane.
